In many, many years of visiting France, this was the best villa we have rented and definitely the best hosts. Keith and Karen go beyond what is expected to ensure you have a great stay. The chateau is spacious and very well equipped. We loved the fire pit, the film night, the pizza oven. Nothing was too much trouble… the kids enjoyed seeing the vintage cars. The pool was big enough for our “family olympics”. We loved the local food producers evening on Monday. We were surprised by the local area and enjoyed canoeing, chateau visits, medieval towns and some very artistic walks. Food in local restaurants was reasonably priced. With 12 of us staying we never felt crowded as there is so much space and so much to do. We never mastered the unicycle but tried the tandem and other bikes and the table tennis was well used. This trip far exceeded expectations… we would highly recommend it and are not surprised that there are a lot of returning customers. Many thanks for all your efforts!

We loved every minute of our stay at Manor House in Lacroix Barrez. It is a beautiful house that is extremely well equipped and the owners are generous and very friendly. The house has a lovely style with lots of space and chic decoration. The kitchen is a joy to cook in. In addition there is a gym and man cave with a pool table that our teenagers loved. Outside, there is a luxurious swimming pool, barbecue, pizza oven and hot tub. Keith and Karen are helpful, kind and were a useful source of information on local amenities and places to visit. The region has sites of extreme beauty to see and we thoroughly recommend this house in Lacroix Barrez and we hope to visit it again.

We had a brilliant week. The house is comprehensively equipped, with plenty for everyone to do. Keith and Karen were excellent hosts, with plenty of tips on places to visit, places to eat and things to do. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we enjoyed the large grounds, the lovely pool and much more. Wholeheartedly recommended for a stay with family and friends. Thank you!

We are a family of parents, grown up kids, their partners, grandchildren and 2 dogs. We had a great week at The Manor. The weather was not great but that did not spoil anything. The house and grounds are big enough and well presented to keep everyone happy. Keith and Karen were super hosts. They were there when we needed them and kept away when we did not. We had total privacy. Our grandchildren loved feeding the horses. We all loved the space. On a stormy day we played games and enjoys the pool table and table football in the well laid out basement. The village was 2 minutes walk and it was great to walk for bread and croissants in the morning. I would recommend The Manor for a family holiday.

Reading the other reviews it has all been said before. The house was fabulous and without fault and the hosts were without question the most accommodating we have ever come across. The best compliment we can give is that we were unable to say goodbye so booked for three weeks next summer before our departure. This made the leaving less painful! So Keith and Karen it is 'Jusqu'à l'année prochaine' x (The Best of Dublin)

We booked this villa for our family holiday with our best friends hoping that the photos were not 'too good to be true' as we have been mistaken before. However that could not have been further from the truth. From the moment we arrived, everything was fantastic. Keith and Karen could not have been more attentive, without being intrusive. They were there to help if ever we needed them, and had some great ideas and suggestions to help us make the most of the holiday. Everything described in the listing was accurate but does not do justice to how wonderful this property and these owners are. Would definitely recommend this to families looking for a fantastic holiday, and we will be back as soon as we can.

Glorious in every respect. The setting and surrounding countryside is fantastic. The Leatherbarrows must be the most hospitable hosts ever. The stay was huge fun especially the kayaking trip and the village organised walk/run to the stunningly situated Chateau du Avalon. The village hall shindig afterwards was a hoot even though it was conducted in French and we had no idea what was going on! Fantastic!

We have stayed at the Manor House several times over the past few years and have yet to be disappointed. From travelling with teenagers and pulling in all the local attractions, including the Millau Bridge, to a quiet weekend away to escape the hustle and stress of our working lives, Lacroix Barrez has it all. The setting is idyllic, the house roomy with all your home comforts and more (unfortunately we've no pool at home!) and the location perfect for exploring rural France at its best. As hosts, Keith and Karen are warm and friendly and on hand to provide advice or help with anything you require but can also be invisible if peace, tranquility and solitude are the order of the day. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending families or groups of varying sizes to stay hear to enjoy one of the best holiday experiences possible. We shall definitely be returning.
