Luxurious Beach Home with Indoor Pool Access! Steps from the Beach

been having annual beach trips for couple years now and this is probably our least favorite beach house we have been to so far. Half of the doors have broken locks/jammed, bugs everywhere (with windows and doors being jammed no surprised), ac was inconsistent and lastly there is no outdoor shower, just a hose in the garage that you have to go inside the house to get into (immediate entrance door is jammed). Overall it kind of surprises me how much people can charge for houses that are not well kept. Oh lastly, some of the couches I believe have bedbugs, mainly the tore up ones in the smaller living room.

We had a nice time and the spaces in the house provided places for gathering, game play and also quiet areas to read and relax or (unfortunately) do some remote office work. The location was convenient. The house was clean (other than the grill) and the property management company was very responsive to issues when we contacted them and the maintenance guy was pleasant to deal with when he came to the house, just felt that we had to call on a number of issues over the week. The issues were always promptly addressed by the property management company, by providing a different used refrigerator or dryer to replace ones that were not working, there simply seemed to be one issue on top of another. Overall, the house could use some refreshing to be the luxurious beach home we expected, but we enjoyed our stay despite the failure to meet expectations.

My family loved the house! It was a wonderful vacation. We called if we had a problem and they took care of it. Definitely for families.

Several damaged areas, checking in was difficult as keyless entry was not working so we had to pick up keys at RE office. Our family had a very good week here at Chapel Bay. We enjoyed the pool, the beach, kayaking in the canal with rented kayaks.Lots of room to spread out throughout the house. Played games and walked the neighborhood.

Great week despite the weather. A couple of suggestions-the dishwasher is SLOW and doesn’t clean unless it’s on heavy, only half the toaster works, the disposal doesn’t, and the railing leading to the top floor is loose. Minor fixes.

We loved the pool and the sun deck. The house had plenty of space but the house needs some attention. A little updating would benefit.

Troy gave me his door code and that was what we used. The property is in disrepair, outdated. I have rented dozens of properties through the years, different locales, different companies and this by far was in the worst condition. I have many pictures to support my claim. Counter top worn to below finish, stove surface worn and scratched, screens ripped, fixtures, air vents rusted. Light fixtures rusted, furniture damaged, closet door mirror cracked and can't be opened. Sofa has entire leather worn off down to threadbare lining with only one recliner working. Paint worn off wall behind sofa as well as throughout entire house. Then the pool- filthy area, cobwebs, trash, leaves. Door tracks rusted so that all doors cannot be opened. Push screen door open and frame falls down, door left in your hand. Paint peeling off on multiple spots. Fans not functional. Upon returning tried to make them aware and send photos so they can perhaps address these issues and both emails through which communication was established prior to trip are invalid and emails bounced.

The deck overlooks the canal, which gives additional opportunities for water sports. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing, as well as sitting on the deck at the sun set. The indoor pool was a huge plus since we had several rainy days during our stay and with four babies in the house, it was a life saver. The water in the pool was at the perfect temperature for the little ones to enjoy it and have a lot of fun. The house could use some upgrading and deep cleaning, but other than that it is a great property for a family fun.

Unfortunately, we had to make adjustments to the sleeping arrangements because we didn't count on some of the sleeping areas being pullout sofas and mattresses in the closet.

The house was big, everything was as expected if not even better. My family had a wonderful time. The beach was walking distance. Shops were not too far from the house. We did have a family show up trying to use the pool (they said they paid for) they do not do that so don't get scammed, but management came and solved the issue. Overall is was beautiful and an amazing place to stay.

This was our 3rd cousins vacation and this was our 3rd house together, our only complaint is one of the rooms with bunkbeds didn't have any privacy and you had to walk through the space to get to the other 2 bedrooms

Loved the location and the layout of the home - my multi generational family enjoyed the stay immensely!! But the house is in dire need of TLC, walls patched and not painted over, and other clear maintenance issues that have gone unaddressed. Fully functional but not in the best of shape.

Reviewer Comments: The house is in a good location and quite lovely, but it definitely needs some updating. The pool was freezing, and nobody used it. The doors around the pool are very difficult to open and close. The appliances did not work well, and the dryer broke. The dryer was not repaired until the day before we left, and the technician pointed out that the lint buildup (which had never been cleaned) was a major fire hazard. The A/C did not work in one of the first-level bedrooms, and it was extremely hot. I am leaving this review because before I booked the house, I read several reviews that mentioned these same issues. The rental company responded and claimed that the house was under new management, and these problems had been addressed, especially the pool temperature and the doors. In our experience, this was not the case.

House was very nice but needed work. An air conditioner unit in the attic failed, water leaked through the ceiling of the bedroom below and the ceiling almost collapsed rendering the bedroom unusable. Maintenance took care of it quickly though but the next tenants are down one bedroom.

This was our first time in Sandbridge and first time renting a house with an indoor swimming pool. As with any beach house rental, nothing will ever be perfect, but this one comes ranks up there with the best we have rented over the years!

Overall, the house met our needs as far as size and location went. We absolutely fell in love with Sandbridge as it was our first time there. However, it was apparent the house was not well cared for or kept updated. The exterior was dirty with a light fixture falling out by the entrance and a huge wasp nest. The indoor pool had a ceiling fall that looked like it was going to fall out and rusted vents and doors. The bar chairs were about to fall apart and we could have used some counter stools in the kitchen. It looks much nicer in pictures than it actually is. While we will definitely return to Sandbridge, we would not stay at this property again.
