LUX Beach Retreat | Pool, Game Room, Dog Friendly

Our trip to Port St. Joe and our stay at The Salty Maverick was absolutely one of the best trips we have had as a family. The house was everything as advertised and better. We loved the heated pool and game room. Rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes and cookware a family may need. Kate was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. She put up Christmas decorations and a tree and even left us a beautiful ornament. The little things she did like having hot chocolate and treats for my granddaughter were wonderful and made it special. The memories of our Christmas here will last our lifetimes. This is definitely a 5 star rating and I look forward to returning in the summer!

This house The Salty Maverick, was absolutely amazing. My husband, our 2 dogs, and I, stayed here for my birthday. Check in/out was simple. The decor was gorgeous. Super clean. There were beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and even a beach wagon to pull your items to the beach. They even supplied dog bowls and toys! It is a very short walk to the beach. The beds were extremely comfortable. Large screen TV's in all rooms, including the back porch. So many extra's included, such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and laundry detergent, We didn't cook any, but there is plenty of pans and cooking utensils. The pool was amazing. It's a large pool. There is also an air hockey table and pacman game in the large shed. We walked our dogs each morning and took them to the beach. No hills. Kate was a pleasure to answer any questions that we had. This was, by far, one of our favorite homes we have stayed at. I would highly recommend this house to rent. We loved our stay there.

Great property with everything needed for a relaxing week. The home was very clean and well taken care of. My family found the pool and game room to be great entertainment for times we needed a break from the beach. The walk to the beach was very short and the beach cart being available made it easy. We also enjoyed the screened in porch when the weather turned rainy during our stay. The owner was very responsive to any questions and provided great instructions for check in and out. I highly recommend and would stay again!

Every single detail was perfect. I kept finding myself walking into a room or opening a closet going, wow, they really thought of everything you could need. All the extras were so luxurious. You could tell they really care about the experience of their guests. Lots of lush and large cozy blankets, 5 star hotel level pillows. Organic aloe vera gel, water bottles even the towels were thick and soft. They didn't skimp on a single detail. Close to the beach and the shed was stocked with chairs, umbrellas, floats and a beach cart. You can basically just show up with clothes. We will absolutely stay here again.

We had a great time at the Salty Maverick! The house was exceptionally clean & very comfortable! There were several added touches that made our stay even better: spices, coffee, paper towels, laundry detergent, soaps, lotions, extra toiletries, etc. My children loved the game room & the pool, and our dogs appreciated the screened-in porch with fans! It was only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Our host, Kate was very attentive & easy to contact.

This was a perfect house for our spring break getaway! They had everything provided that you could even think you would need! The beach was a short walk away but easy to navigate with the help of the beach cart and accessories provided. My kids loved the private pool and game room ! Great trip!

We enjoyed our New Years getaway here, Beautiful home, coffee bar was great, the house is well stocked, and paying the additional fee to heat the pool was well worth it! All of my kids loved the game room as well. We will be back!

Our stay in this absolutely beautiful home was FANTASTIC! The photos of this home are gorgeous but seeing it in person was outstanding. It was very clean and accommodating (coffee drinkers you will love the variety at the coffee station). At night sitting on the back porch around the pool was very calming and serene. I wish every vacation home I rent going forward was like this one. It was truly amazing. If you are on the fence about renting this home, let me ease your mind. RENT IT NOW!!!! I will definitely be staying here again. Also, the manager of this home was very nice as well.

This is where you want to stay for your beach getaway! This home is chocked full with all of the amenities you can think of plus more. We loved lounging on the screened in back porch during the afternoon rain showers. All three bedrooms Have king-sized beds with the most comfortable bedding. Kitchen is fully stocked. This house is a short walk to the beach that is made even easier by the cart that is provided to carry your cooler and beach bags. The pool and game room were a hit for both kids and adults. We highly recommend this home!

We had the best vacation at The Salty Maverick, so much that we were sad to leave it! This home is beautifully decorated in coastal decor and has all the comforts of home (and then some)! Kate provides everything you could want and need!! O
