Lujoso Penthouse duplex + rooftop full equipado rodeado de SELVA y MAR

Very recommended.

The place was great. It's located in a gated community and is very secure. There is a gate to the main compound (Selvamar) and a gate to the project inside Selvamar (Parque Real). We looked at google map before going but couldn't have an idea of the large empty piece of land close to the house. Turns out to be a lovely forest with trails, even a pound and a dog area. A very nice extra for us. The house itself was great. The kitchen was clean and furnished ok. 3 bedrooms with a door (one with a king size bed, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds) and a 4th bedroom/den with no real door and a sofa bed. Each of these 4 bedrooms have a full bathroom. The master bedroom (with the king size bed) has also a large walking closet. I am taking the time to describe the bedrooms as it leads to the only bad point issue we had with this place: communication. Answers sometimes took too long to arrive.. I asked twice what size of beds we'd find in the house and just gave up at the end. On site I asked 4 times for extra sheets with no answer. Of course if I would have had the information asked before the trip, we probably could have known we needed extra sheets but the information never came. And the sheets never came. Communication could be improved. The beach club is 1000 pesos, not 400. The pools are really fantastic with a lush tropical garden surrounding it. We highly recommend the place.

We had a nice time the only fault I have is the beds are very hard and the washing machine did not work.

NOT 5 BEDROOMS - only 3 bedrooms + a den with a small futon and no door. Sleeps 7, not 8. The unit and property are beautiful, but beware of problems with the host. We had no hot water for the first 4 days while they tried to get a part to fix the issue with the tankless heater. Once it was fixed, the hot water was intermittent and wouldn't stay on for more than a couple of minutes. On the last 2 days of our trip the entire building lost power, and because of the hot water heater 'fix, we had no running water either because all water ran through the electric tankless hot water heater. We understand the power failure was not the owner/host fault, but he did nothing to help us get information on the outage or connect us to the building staff to find out directly what was happening - we didn't have running water for over 36 hours. Also, there were no candles or flashlights in the house. The unit does not have an oven, so it made cooking difficult. VRBO was also horrible in addressing all of thes problems.

Communication with Luis was flawless. The condo was very spacious and well appointed. The rooftop had everything we needed for a cookout. The complex where the condo is located is within a bigger complex called Selvamar that has security both at the main entrance and before you get to the unit. This made everything feel safe and secure. The only drawback is that the beach club shown in the pictures is not a sandy beach (although there is a sandy beach at a resort next to it) and it is a 5 minute car ride to get there. Overall, we definitely recommend staying here because of how well kept the unit and the complex is. There aren’t many modern, clean, 4 bathrooms options as nice as this one.
