She will not enter into your space as your door will be closed.

For your peace of mind, there is a keyless entry pad to all doors, the front door, the side door, and the door inside the laundry room opening into the kitchen. The doors will always remain locked on the keyless entry pads.

We welcome dogs, please let me know before your stay. There is a cleaning fee of $75 per dog. This fee covers shedding, pet smell, and extra dirt traction throughout the house. This does not cover pee on carpet, soft waste on carpet, or ruined furniture.

The house was clean and organized and had everything we needed. We slept well and it was quiet. Note, there is no outside spaces (like a deck or patio) except the front access to the house and that is not private, it’s shared with adjoining unit. We were disappointed in that but could have just missed that in the listing.

Excellent and cozy home for family gathering to explore Hood River! Each of us had our own bedroom and 1 bathroom on each level was great. Kitchen had everything we needed including small appliances. No Keurig type coffee maker but a regular drip was provided. Quiet neighborhood and cute little town for exploring but close to the bridge to get back to Hood River. For any length of stay visit the Hood River Port office on the OR side to purchase a pass to cross the bridge multiple times at a reduced rate. Shopping at Harvest Market in White Salmon for supplies is a must! Great antique mall and Mexican food close by in Bingen, WA. Host was quick to respond to questions. Explanations and home access was perfect. There are somewhat steep steps down (with hand rail) from street but one can access the back of the home for loading/unloading from the ally if needed. We did have a senior citizen with a recent knee replacement who handled the stairs fine though! Just a couple hints to the hostess: Extra kitchen hand and dish towels would be appreciated and something to scrub pots. Aluminum foil and plastic wrap would be nice. Also, a rug by the inside of the front door as the tile there was slippery when it rained and we were coming and going. Otherwise a perfect stay and visit with family!

Our stay at this property was really nice! We didn't spend much time at the place because we were in town for a family wedding, and there were a lot of activities. We loved how you could walk to town for breakfast or dinner. Everything we needed was included in the stay - towels, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer, etc. It's the details that matter!

Very comfortable with plenty of room for the 4 of us; ranging in age from 60-70’s. A few ants and a few silverfish were noticed by some in the group but didn’t hamper our stay or make me question cleanliness at all! Only recommendations I have are: provide a few boxes of Kleenex in bathrooms and it would have been nice to have a bit of plastic wrap in the kitchen.

The house was perfect for a short weekend. Communication was excellent and quick. Very comfortable and convenient location. We left our sons stuffy and they have been very helpful in getting Gerald back!

It's not an age friendly house. Too many scattered rugs, no rubber mats in the showers, which are slippery, and parking in entrance in exits at the house the parking was a bit difficult and the steps going down from the street are not age friendly. The beds were extremely comfortable but we could not find any thermostat.

We had a good stay here, but found that it all felt a little old, rather than vintage. However the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The lighting is more ambient than functional, older eyes need good reading lights, and the seating was not very comfortable. Communication with the manager was prompt, clear and accommodating. Thank you!

A getaway gathering, reminiscing our childhood in Parkdale and Hood River. Location was ideal, very walkable and quiet, and easily accessible to downtown White Salmon and the Oregon side. The living room furnishings are quite worn, and not so comfortable-didn’t invite gathering and conversation. Also, the lighting in the dining area is very dim. Both could be easily fixed-Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Our stay here was fine. The location is great, super close to the main street of White Salmon and a quick trip over the bridge to Hood River. There was very little pre-arrival communication from the owner and as we arrived after dark we did have some trouble figuring out how to get in. One entry door/unit was very well lit up (string lights outside, lights on inside). We tried the door code several times before we realized there was a second, unlit door/unit off to the side of the well-lit one. Once we figured out that the dark unit (to the left) was the correct one it was fine but stairs down and yard were also not lit so that was actually a tad problematic with the stone path + luggage. The house is cute and was clean. In truth my biggest disappointment came when I realized it is cross-listed on the other big platform and was significantly cheaper there. That's on me but darnit. Stay here for the cute, clean, and convenient, but do your checking - and arrive while it's light out :)
