Lovely spacious 3-br home w/firepit close to lakes 3 major cities parks-w/trails

Have been waiting on a refund from host for over a week. He has been contacted by VRBO & Expedia multiple times without response. I was not going to leave a negative review but the host has left me no choice. We arrived at the property on check in day to a *very strong* odor of moth balls. At first we thought it had just been closed up for a long time & that it would decrease with air circulation. Within 15 minutes, my headache was so bad that I ended up vomiting. Soon after, my son said he was feeling very bad. I attempted to call the host x3 with no answer.I checked to see online if the moth ball smell could be the culprit. I found that mothballs should never be left out in the open (not in a container) & can cause severe illness. I went searching to see if I could find them and sure enough there was a large, open, unsecured bag in the kitchen closet. I thought maybe the internet information was being dramatic so I called poison control line as suggested. We were told to leave immediately. I attempted to call the host again with no success. We left the property and went to a hotel. I called VRBO who attempted to call the host multiple times with no success. I then sent a text to the host asking for a call back ASAP since both myself & VRBO had been attempting to reach. He later called back & was pretty rude saying I doubt its that dramatic among other things but did say he would refund. That is the last I heard from him. He is ignoring contact from me & the company.

Second year staying at the property. The location was much quieter than last year and we had no issues with the area. Love the proximity to coffee (2 mins), grocery (4 mins) and Grandpa Joe's candy emporium store (8 mins). House was clean and we appreciate the stocked items made available. Wifi Internet didn't appear to be working but we don't really use it during our stay.

Great space! We were in town for a wedding, Perfect stay for the family!

Nice place to stay, but a few poorly done repairs. It was strange to have food in fridge left over from previous guests, and some sheets/towels were in the washing machine (unwashed) when we arrived. Nevertheless, we'll be back each year.

Not a bad weekend stay. Definitely an improvement over the hotel stays we typically have. Was nice for all to have their own rooms and beds. House was nice and had a few extras (tvs, pcs, yard, hottub, towels, etc). Beds were very comfortable. Surrounding area a little sketchy looking but we didnt have any issues. We were less than 10 minutes from all needs... groceries, candy store, ice cream shop, champions lake, gas, etc.

Stayed for the weekend and it was awesome. The house was beautiful and everyone had a wonderful time. Really delicious Mexican restaurant within walking distance. Neighborhood was a little noisy Saturday night but nothing out of the ordinary. Would definitely stay again.

It was easy to use for a first-time vrbo user.

The hose was lovely and my wife and parents truly enjoyed their stay at the house. Very comfortable and clean.

It was close to the fairground & we was happy about that !

This is a very nice place to stay while visiting Springfield. Clean house with comfortable beds.

Such an amazing house. We’ve stayed in many rentals and this one, by far, was the cleanest and nicest. Rooms were huge. Beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Close and convenient to shopping and food. We visited the Air Force Museum and Clifton Mills for their Christmas Lights. It was awesome. We’ll be back this summer to enjoy the weather! Great place to stay!!! We were in town for the Clifton Mill Christmas Lights and hopped over to Columbus to CoSi. Easy access to surrounding attractions. The house was spacious and clean. The hot tub was great to relax in after a long day. Worked great as home base for the family.

Three spacious bedrooms and a nice space for everyone to relax. Shelton was very accommodating and responsive.

Very nice house, would have been nice if it could have gotten a deep cleaning but the people before us didn’t leave until 3 pm on Friday the 12 and our check in was at 4 so no time to deep clean. Saturday the tub started leaking in the kitchen while my daughter-in-law was giving my 2 little grandsons a bath. Called the host and he explained why it was doing that. He was very friendly and he even came to the house after he got back in town and checked it out and let me know when he was on the way. We were there for a wedding and I would rent it again when in Springfield.

Beautiful house. Quiet neighborhood. Has everything you need. Beds are comfy. Sheldon was great with responding timely. Super guy.

Very nice and clean

The house is very clean and well equipped. There are plentiful towels and very simple check-in and checkout. It was a bit offsetting that they left what people had left in the refrigerator in the bathroom so there’s quite an array of shampoos available to use if you don’t bring you around. I would recommend that the refrigerator would be cleared out after every guest because it’s just a hazard you don’t want to take on the ice in the refrigerator tasted like the fish that was in the refrigerator so cleaning it out would probably be a better solution. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.

We made a quick trip to visit my son at Cedarville University. Comfy beds and plenty of them.

Driving down the street was worried property wouldnt be all that it showed. Have had that happen before. But once we walked thru the front door our minds was set at ease. The place was very clean, more well equipped than i imagined it would be, and the beds and furniture so very comfy!! The hot tub was very relaxing! We didnt venture out other than the event we went down there for the place was so relaxing! One of the best experiences ever. The kids wanted to stay longer but i had to come back for work. I and the kids agree we would definitely book the same place again and go back!!

Close to family and quite area.

Nice property, clean, organized, well equipped. On street parking was OK. I would return if the need arises.

We did experience a invasion of flies after we had arrived. We were killing flies through the night. This is a really a nice house with a lot of amenities and stocked with almost everything you would need. The highlight for us was the use of the Hot Tib
