Stayed Feb 13, 2026Property is in need of a little TLC. Bathroom tiles cracked and dirty. Oven knobs missing, door wobbly and pictures to show which ring etc rubbed off, pot lid handles cracked, glass light shades cracked/broken. Many walls have been filled with filler but not painted. However this did not take away from our break with family.

Stayed Jun 28, 2025Sadly, I have to give this Villa a low score….not for the property it’s self; the house was ideal for our special family occasion and Gillian was a good host. The only thing that marred it and the reason we won’t be back was one rude neighbour. The house is close to two other houses. The garden is uneven and the flattest part is next to another neighbours garden which is divided by a fence. On our first day there, my 80 year old Mum and twin 12 year old nieces were playing badminton. One neighbour thought it was ok to be rude to them and tell them they were ruining his Sunday afternoon and to move away from his garden. This was at midday!!Later in the evening, the 14 of us were playing a quiz in the dining room, the only room that could accommodate the size of our full party comfortably. I received a text from the owner to say the noise alarm had been triggered and that she had received a complaint from the neighbour, at 9pm. Our party was a family party made up of children and adults ranging from 10-90 years old who were celebrating my Mums 80th. If your property caters for groups up to 16, you surely must expect some noise?? In our case, laughter. Sadly, this issue cast a cloud over our weekend If you are considering a similar stay for a large party, be wary of Mr Angry next door.

Stayed Apr 8, 2025Really nice house, plenty of rooms, very peaceful, fantastic location. We stayed as a family get together 14 in total excellent space, needs a bit of tlc here and there and maybe turn the conservatory into a sitting room to allow everyone to relax together.

Stayed Dec 24, 2024Nice big house for a family get together. Big kitchen and dining space and hottub is an added bonus. Lots of nice decor and room dressings. Little tired in places i.e. black mould on bathroom roof.

Stayed Sep 22, 2024This was a perfect home base for our large family gathering (10 ppl ranging in age from 3-70). Close to Oban but far enough removed that it’s away from city traffic and is quiet and relaxing. Large, clean space, very comfortable for our large group. Would stay again!

Stayed Aug 17, 2024Myself and 11 friends had a great stay at Taynuilt. The house was perfect for the big group, the outdoor space, hot tub and number of bedrooms and bathrooms in particular. The kitchen was great for cooking and well equipped. The host was very helpful and communicative. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Stayed May 25, 2024The house provided an ideally located base for all our outdoor adventures in Loch Etive, Loch Awe, Glen Coe and the network of quieter roads which can be accessed from Taynuilt. There are some maintenance issues with the property which is why the overall rating is 3 stars. I have made the property owner aware of these issues. For those with younger children also be aware that there is no physical barrier between the property and the main A85. Nor is there a barrier between the garden and the adjacent building site for the Taynuilt Inn.
