Lopez Island, Washington
*** This home is people friendly, and not pet friendly. ***
Shed the pace of the city, kick off your shoes, wind down, and happily absorb the atmosphere of an Island summer day in this gorgeous waterfront vacation home on the shore of Fisherman Bay.
The first thing you’ll notice upon entering this home is the clean, spacious, and well-designed layout of the living and dining rooms. There is plenty of room for family members of all ages to enjoy a comfortable and relaxed time. The rooms are sunny and bright with large windows that bring the views eastward across the blue waters of the Bay into the home. Turn the corner to the kitchen and you will find all the amenities (including new AC and a backup generator) needed to create a wonderful island meal along with plenty of space for conversation with friends. Windows abound here too and keep that blue water always present in your mind.
As afternoon heads to evening and you begin to think about resting your head on a pillow, follow the hallway from the kitchen/living room and you will find the bedrooms of which there are three. For the captain of this excursion you will find a waterside master bedroom equipped with a queen bed with adjoining bathroom with shower. Down the hall further you'll find the second and third bedrooms, each with cozy queen beds. These two bedrooms share a second bathroom with shower. Because of an extensive interior makeover, this home and each of its rooms shows as nearly new. Even the water system has been upgraded for this year's start of the summer rental season.
As you return to the living room, head past the furniture and you’ll be greeted by a wonderful deck which extends the full length of the house and is the true definition of “outdoor living” done right. Whether BBQing an evening meal, enjoying morning coffee, or simply lounging, you will undoubtedly spend a lot of time outdoors here, or playing games with the kids on the waterside lawn that spreads out in front of you.
Once you’ve had a chance to settle in to the home, conversation will inevitably turn to what there is to do and you’ll be amazed by the many activities you’ll find right at your doorstep. Long beaches & parklands are located nearby on the west side of the peninsula where this home sits. Across the small bay you’ll find Lopez Kayak where you can rent a kayak and paddle all around Fisherman Bay, returning to your home when it’s time for an afternoon nap or a turn at the blender with friends. Lopez Islander Resort is on the other side of the Bay and easily accessible by kayak or car, and Lopez Village, with its cute boutiques and shops is near as well.
Fisherman Bay Retreat is a vacation home that your friends and family will thoroughly enjoy. We hope you decide to stay with us! This home is people friendly, and not pet friendly.
Please note this home has 3 steps on a gravel path leading to the entrance of the home.

Beautiful location. Home is in excellent condition.
Beautiful spot - wonderful light, super clean home, quiet and beautiful. great views. wonderfully situated property.
Home was very clean, comfortable and quiet location with beautiful views. I would definitely come back. The owners were really good too about providing essentials. Lots of fun things to do in Lopez Island!!
We loved your home and would absolutely come to stay again. Your space was perfect for a family with 2+ kids. Our kids loved having the water just out the back deck, and there toys and books and games for everyone to enjoy. The quick and easy access to Lopez Village and the Islander made it even more convenient for our stay. We will be back!
Wonderful home for a rainy Thanksgiving weekend. The kitchen was really well stocked with cooking gear, so we were able to cook our feast without incident. The tides were very high all weekend and we enjoyed watching the water move. I'd love to be there on a very-low-tides weekend to see the contrast. The only negative was that the water came and went according to no particular pattern. Luckily it would slow before it stopped, so none of us got stuck in the shower covered in soap. But it was annoying. We filled some containers when it was on, and bought some gallons at the market, but obviously, it would have been better for it to just stay on all weekend.
Hooray
Easy bike access and safe roads to Flat Pt Park. Odlin Park, Spencer Spit Park. Shark Reef Park.
Spacious with three bedrooms and an awesome deck. I only wish there was a beach to walk on... but can't complain! Would stay here again! My family enjoyed it and not too far away from town.
Beautiful view, clean. Very well stocked and extremely comfortable beds. Well done!
Once a year the girls and I get away to a VRBO property. This one checked all of our boxes. Water view, nice dining table for playing cards, comfortable beds Cozy living room. In this case, this small rambler was perfect. We had netflix for a few movies and Pandora on the tv for background music, The WIFI was solid. I had no reception on my Verizon phone on this island, but my friends with Tmobile had no problem. I was able to connect to the house Wifi with no problem. This home is straight across Fishermans Bay from the Islander Lopez. They leave their lights on at night which reflect in the water, and look like the Titanic in the movie right before it sank. But that could have been the cocktails. The beds and pillows were so comfortable! This home had everything we needed. There was no recycle container available though, so I brought it home with me. Not a big deal, I just hope that others do the same and not put it in the garbage. The owner who lives at the end of the beach came by and got the lawn chairs out of the garage for us because it was sunny in March. There is a guy who walks his goats on the beach at the spit, and everyone waves on this island.
