The wifi didn’t work our whole stay. The host tired to get it back on, but still nothing unfortunately. The house was definitely lacking normal supplies, toilet paper, light bulbs, sinks clogged. The location and setting is beautiful though.

A beautiful, secluded location with a creek running through it. We had no TV but didn’t need it, hot tub and pool table were a plus.We spent most of our time out and about seeing all the sights and activities around us.Kids said it was the best ever!

The house was beautiful! We loved the layout, the back yard area (especially the creek and bridge) and the location. Everything was very clean. The towels by the pool table were very helpful. The only gripe we had was the upstairs bedroom was pretty toasty. We used the air conditioner provided, but there was no where to blow the hot air. Thankfully it was only hot for one day during our stay. The weather cooled off and helped the inside temp. Not a deal breaker though, we’d stay there again!

It was a beautiful cabin on a nice river/ brook. This place needs some help. The decks are dangerous & need repairs. The hot tub does not work properly. The hot tub cover is broken. The kitchen sink faucet wobbles it is so loose. We didn’t have any firewood for the fireplaces or fire ring. Lots of little things wrong with the place. Too many to mention.

We enjoyed the main cabin, however in several rooms lightbulbs were burned out and the exterior deck and branch had broken or missing boards that made it dangerous.

The place was great. Bigger than the pictures suggest. Has all the amenities and comfort you could ask for when traveling. Nice beds and pillows, blankets for the couches, fully stocked kitchen utensils with oils salt pepper etc, detergent and fabric softener for the washer/dryer, beach towels for the creek/hot tub etc. You can tell they try to make you comfortable. Some maintenance issues, mainly the deck and bridge, but that's clearly being worked on. Our only real complaint is the toilet paper which was not much better than what you'd get at a rest stop on the highway. And maybe a better/bigger living room tv. The p;ace is so big it's hard to see the tv unless you're sitting close to it.

The stay was very good and the house was beautiful. The location was great and had wildlife walking through the backyard. The creek was nice to listen to as we relaxed in the hot tub. Overall, it was a good experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Thunderhead Falls Lodge. The home is beautiful inside and out. The creek behind the home is gorgeous and the sound is peaceful. The home is clean and comfortable. We were close to everything both in the Black Hills as well as downtown Rapid City. We highly recommend staying here.

The property has the potential to be beautiful but needs tlc. In addition to the items I listed previously, the outside needs attention. Everything is overgrown and there are broken exterior lights and doors. Overall we had a good time.

My group of 4 adults really enjoyed the peace and quiet of this cabin. We had been traveling for 2 1/2 weeks and were happy to have such a lovely setting to relax in for a few days before heading back home. We all loved the back porch and the daily duck/duckling, goose/gosling parade on the river! We used this cabin as a launching pad for Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and Badlands NP. All were an easy drive. Rapid City is a lovely town. The people we encountered were kind and friendly. The town seems to have a park or green space on almost every corner! We cooked most of our meals but did try Tampico Mexican Restaurant, which is less than a mile from the cabin. It was delicious! The reason for 4/5 stars was there were a few concerns with the cabin which I addressed privately. Nothing severe but just room for a little improvement. I would stay here again. ?
