Locally Known as The Pyramid House w/5,000 Sq Ft of Living Space 6 BRs & 3 Baths

Mixed feelings. Because of my amazing family, we had a good time. If all went well, we'd make it an annual visit at the Pyramid House. Well-turns out, we won't. First of all-the large house handled 30 of us with enough parking, in/outdoor seating, a large kitchen, 2 cooking areas, plus the location and Clear Lake itself -fantastic! Not surprisingly, there were some minor issues: exposed nails, dirty curtains, no screens, patio door didn't latch, coffee pot didn't work, filthy grill utensils left outside, bathroom lock didn't work. Also- worse issues: bed with no slats so mattress unstable, basement door did not lock, lots of spiders, and mouse droppings. The maintenance was poor: AC not working, furnace filters wrong size/filthy. These things can be fixed with proper maintenance. The biggest problem : we had difficulty with Joe (Jody) -the owner (same person?). Poor communication. He was tired/driving/family issue when I'd ask a ?, did not respond. Online info is not accurate. Bed layout- etc did not match the description online . AC was not working. Joe told me the AC was fixed, but it was not even connected. It took 1.5 days and multiple calls / texts to get AC fixed. Joe told me I could cancel the VRBO reservation due to dissatisfaction, get a refund, and rent the home next door, privately from him in cash/VENMO. In this way, he said he wouldn't have to pay VRBO his contracted $. He said he was trying to help and wanted no bad review. It didn't feel helpful.

Overall the home was a wonderful place to hold our annual celebration of all the holidays in one long weekend. The only suggestion I have for the owner to update the stove on the main level ( it takes forever to boil water) and you need more pans and cookware. It was extremely difficult to cook large meals. The house is very nice and location was great. The parking was great. Most properties don’t realize that you need ample parking for different family members coming from many locations.

This property needs a tremendous amount of work. The perimeter has evidence of water damage. The front door is uninviting. There were mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers. Not much yard to enjoy socializing in. But it was unique to stay in. The kids enjoyed the large TVs. There was plenty of space for everyone. All of us can brag about living in a pyramid.

Bedrooms spaced throughout the three levels-quite adequate. Great location. Kitchens adequate. Great place for our family reunion. Families traveled in from 4 states.

It's unique in its shape! The decor inside is very fun and keeps with the Egyptian theme. The main kitchen is really large and accommodating. The bathrooms are okay--adequate, but arranged a little awkwardly. We had trouble with the AC when we arrived but the owner and onsite manager went out of their way to deliver us from the 90 degree heat. The bananas that were left in the kitchen invited an army of fruit flies :( Staying at the house was a fun experience.

We had a family Christmas gathering at the pyramid house and it was perfect! We had plenty of room for sports on tv, games, presents and dinners.

Very spacious house for my family of 31 . 26 members were present. Space for all. Few structural problems-rain caused roof leak over bunk bed-had to relocate persons sleeping there, door seals not good -many BUGS came inside, ice maker not working, ran out of paper products such as toilet paper ,paper towels ,etc Overall lots of parking space and family space. We had a GREAT WEEKEND!!! Thank you.

The accommodations were huge. Beds all over!!! Due to the fact that we paid a LOTof money for 3 nights for this VRBO we expected more. Many light bulbs were missing, we ran out of paper towels, the area behind the refrigerator upstairs was a mess, The water pressure in he lower bath shower was a dribble. The plates and silverware were clean but we had to wash all bowls and pans before using them.. The beds.were not made. The carpets in the lower level smelled wet and musty.

Property owners were very easy to communicate with, my expectations were exceeded by my stay!

This place is absolutely amazing! The photos do not do it justice. Very spacious and perfect for large groups. The property manager was extremely understanding and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about this property or the people who own it! Book The Pyramid House, you won't regret it!
