Live the Beach Life in a Quaint Shell Cottage

Comfortable, and very pleasant setting to stay. The beach was much closer than we thought, and the neighborhood was quiet.

This home is located in a nice neighborhood very close to the beach in Del Mar. Everything seemed brand new, which you don't always find in vacation rentals! No tired or dated furniture here, and all was in good repair. It had small touches I appreciated, ranging from extra ziploc bags to sand toys for kids. All in all, it's a lovely home and a good value considering the location. The only thing to know is that it is a small space - a larger home that has been divided into two units, so the bathroom and bedrooms are quite small and the dining table is right in the little kitchen so you may bang your knees here and there. It worked well for my husband and me plus our 5 yr old for a few days though.

My husband and I and our two mini schnauzers had a very nice stay. The location was great (walkable to the beach and dog beach). Shops and restaurants were a short drive. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. The small cottage is newly renovated and nicely appointed. Where there was room for improvement....The quality of the linens (towels and sheets) was lacking a bit and the mattress and pillows were very firm. Needed more pillows and a non down/feather option.

We absolutely loved our time at Shell Cottage. It is cozy, clean and so close to the beach. Beyond that, the owners/management were responsive and generous. Highly recommend - we've already rebooked for next summer!

We loved being close enough to the beach that we could go back and forth. House was perfect for me and my family! We cooked dinner one night on the bbq and were pleasantly pleased that we had EVERYTHING we needed up to the charcoal. I would definitely stay here again!

The shell cottage was perfect for our family! You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into this property - the house is updated and was squeaky clean, and they even had a little activity pack and prize for our kiddos when we checked in. Would love to stay again!

This adorable 2 bedroom cottage is the perfect get away. Location is everything and the beach is a 2 block stroll across the street. Flawless yard with front porch chairs and swing, outdoor shower, and a back patio with table, chairs and laundry in garage. The place is impeccably decorated and spotless. Walk a mile or less to coffee shops and restaurants. Designated parking makes things easy and grocery and all you could want is within a mile or two.I definitely hope to stay here again.

The perfect little place for the two of us and our puppy in Del Mar. Close to the beach, Dog Beach, the trail inland, restaurants, surfing and more.
