Stayed Mar 30, 2026We really enjoyed our stay at the ranch. Rhonda was very friendly and accommodating for our group of mixed adults and young adults. The chickens, horses, and goats were amazing, and we even got to see some chicks being raised, which was a special experience. We would definitely rebook in the future. There’s so much to do in Southern Utah that we’ll have to come back soon to experience everything we missed!

Stayed Jul 7, 2024We were so blessed to find this property for 5 adults and our 3 grandbabies. Rhonda was an amazing host!! she made us feel very welcome and made our stay very special with taking beautiful pictures of our little ones enjoying the farm animals and feeding them too. We enjoyed our spacious home, barbecued on the grill and did smores around the fire pit. We found out near the end of our stay we were just steps away from Kolob Canyons. It was such a beautiful location with little farm friends that we all loved and miss. Thanks for having us Rhonda! You were amazing ! ❤️❤️

Stayed Apr 27, 2026The Ranch was an excellent option. Rhonda, the manager was extremely helpful with different points of interest in the area; waterfalls, Zion and Bryce National parks. The home provided every thing you needed plus numerous activities for entertainment. Additionally, my grandchildren didn’t want to leave because they loved feeding and petting the horses and goats. Plus, it was the first time my grandson rode a horse.

Stayed Mar 25, 2026Such a perfect spot for families with kids! Between the game room and the animals and the swingset our kids were never bored. This location also always seemed to be quite a bit less hot than Springdale (assuming due to elevation) which was a plus. The beds were comfy and the shower had great water pressure. We did a day in Zion and several stops at Kolob Canyon which is SO close by (also less crowded and just as gorgeous as the main Zion area). Ask Rhonda for directions to her nearby secret hike, it was epic!! Overall our stay was perfect for the price!

Stayed Nov 6, 2025We stayed at Life Is Good on the Farm for my son's requested birthday trip to Zion. The apartment was conveniently located near Kolob Canyon which eas a fantastic hike. Rhonda was a gracious host who checked on us intermittently to ensure we had everything we needed. The space felt cozy and was a great place to relax after long days hiking. It was stocked with all the basics we needed for a week stay

Stayed Oct 12, 2025This is a true gem. Rhonda was so nice and accommodating, from providing fresh eggs and letting our daughter collect eggs from the chickens and pick raspberries and a cantaloupe from the garden for her breakfast, to feeding the animals and sharing local advice for hikes in the area. The space is large and very comfortable, and my daughter loved the extra games available to play as well! This was a truly wonderful stay and so glad that we found it!

Stayed May 4, 2025This has become one of our favorite spots! The setting is beautiful - literally across the road from the Canyon access. :) My children loved visiting the animals every 30 min. we were there, and the rooms were as comfortable as our own home. Rhonda and Bart were very gracious and welcoming, offering tips for the best hikes with kids and making sure we had extra eggs and towels for our large crew. :) We can't wait to come back!

Convienent location to the kolobs and an easy drive to Cedar city or St George or Zion area. Our favorite part was visiting the chickens, goats, and horses. We can’t wait to come again.

Stayed Apr 12, 2025Loved our stay in this quiet little valley near Zion. Even better than the pictures. Great kitchen and living area and even though the game room is under construction, and the kids still loved it! Also, they loved feeding carrots to the goats and the horses! The biggest downside was the distance to Zion, but if you don’t mind the drive, it was a fantastic place to stay.

Stayed Mar 15, 2025This spot is so big, cozy, and adorable! It has such a comfy bed, nice shower, and large living space! The animals are all super friendly and were really fun to be around. The host was so friendly and accommodating, greeting us when we arrived and showing us around the place. I would have been perfectly comfortable with asking her for help/additional supplies if we had needed it. Highly recommend, and would stay here again! It was also so nice to be right by the Kolob Canyons entrance; this was a beautiful scenic drive!

Stayed Dec 26, 2024The property was definelty as expected. What a wonderful way to see horses and chickens. The property is underneath the owner who works from home. We had a dog did not realize when we went out to Zion, that she was barking at the free range chickens. We got a texted from the host informing us that we would have to take our dog out during the day because the owner works from home and could not work with the barking. I get it. But we did have to change our trip around to accommodate the owners wishes. We end up having to leave one family member behind each day to watch our dog. Most of the trails around the area do not allow dogs including most of Zion park. So, if you are traveling with a pet, please consider how your dog may respond to free rooming chickens. If you think they may tend to bark and you were not planning on taking them with you for the whole day, you ,may want to recosider staying here. It would have been a perfect place if we had no dog. It was in a perfect location, clean and definelty a range feel. I would have reconsidered if I would have known the expectation was that the dog would have to be with us during the day.

Stayed Oct 23, 2024We loved our stay. We loved waking up to the horses and feeding them. We got to hold some baby chickens, which is not an ordinary thing for us. The place was adorable and the atmosphere was so peaceful. It made it worth the fact that it was a drive into Zion. Rhonda was the nicest most gracious host. She fit in very well with our crazy group.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024My mother and I stayed for 2 nights while visiting Zion. It was fun to see the horses, chickens and especially the cats who were super friendly! The space was clean and comfortable with lots of blankets to cuddle up with. Rhonda was very responsive and friendly. To enter the home, you have to manually open a garage door and enter the space through a door in the garage. The door that we entered through did not have a deadbolt or any other sort of lock from the inside. Also, when we were first exploring the house, we opened a door inside thinking it was a room and realized it was a staircase up to the owner’s home, which was not able to be locked and secured from our side. The listing was accurate in that it is a basement apartment below the main house. Even though our privacy was respected, I personally prefer a little more feelings of security when I stay somewhere. Other than that, we enjoyed our time. It is very close to Kolob Canyon. I would definitely recommend visiting there! One of our favorite hikes from our trip ended up being an unmarked trail we found at Kolob Canyon. MUCH less crowded than Zion. The home is also close to the highway with easy access to a fairly large town with lots of restaurant options. Although the hens weren’t laying eggs much because of the cold, Rhonda did manage to get 3 for us, which was very nice!
