Legrand Dunes is the ultimate family destination located in the community of Barrier Dunes and on North Cape San Blas just steps from the beach and features amazing gulf views, and two balconies! This 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home boasts an open concept floor plan, with each bedroom featuring a private bathroom. The boardwalk to the beach is located right outside of the balcony making it easy access to the beach. Nestled next to the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, this gated community is perfect for couples or families who are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation while enjoying all the amenities the community has to offer. Pet-friendly, sleeps 8.

Community features: Gated community, two community pools, tennis courts, playground, and three ponds. The main pool is heated in October, November, March and April.

Area information:
Less than 100 feet away from this coastal home, you'll find yourself at the pristine blue water of the Gulf of Mexico with miles and miles of sugar white sand. Whether you enjoy combing the beach for shells, snorkeling, kayaking, sun-bathing, surfing waves, fishing, or taking a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, you'll spend hours of fun while soaking up the sun. When the sun goes down, gather around a beach bonfire and enjoy making s'mores!

When you are ready to venture out, visit nearby Port St. Joe for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Downtown offers cute shops along Reid Avenue, along with many restaurants and grocery stores. Don't forget to check out the historical Lighthouse and Sea Turtle Museum. We love our sea turtles! About 25 miles away is the historical fishing community of Apalachicola. It's perfect for a day trip to do a little shopping, stroll along the Apalachicola River or grab some of the best seafood around!

Parking: 2 vehicles maximum, NO BOAT PARKING ALLOWED

Pet policy: This home is pet-friendly, and allows up to 2 dogs. If you choose to bring a pet, a charge of $140 will be added to your reservation after you book.

Golf cart: No

Linens and supplies: This home comes with everything you need! All bed and bath linens are supplied as well as all cookware/dinnerware/glassware in the kitchen. A few essential items are provided upon arrival: Dawn dishwashing soap, one sponge, two dishwasher pods, one garbage bag, one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet tissue per bathroom, two individual/small bars of soap per bathroom, one laundry powder and one fabric softener.

Age requirement: Minimum age limit to rent this home is 25 years old.

Credit card fee: All payments are subject to a 3.25% credit card processing fee. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.

Rental agreement: A signed rental agreement is required upon booking.

Monthly rentals: SNOWBIRDS WELCOME! Monthly rental rates are available during the winter season, November through early March. Please contact Sunshine Vacation Rentals if you are interested.

Cancellation policy: We strongly encourage our guests to purchase the optional travel insurance to protect your vacation investment. All reservations include an administrative fee of $35 (plus taxes) upon booking which is non-refundable in the event of a reservation cancellation. Credit cards processing fees will be charged upon cancellation which is equal to 3.25% of all payments made.

Reservations canceled at least 60 days before check-in date will receive a 100% refund, minus cancellation fees. Reservations canceled between 30 to 60 days before check-in date will receive a 50% refund, minus cancellation fees. Reservations canceled less than 30 days before check-in date will result in forfeiture of the full advance rental payments and any other payments.

    Great location! This house needs updating big time though. Dryer would say 00 minutes left and would still be running. Dishwasher had error code and was still trying to do something 5 hrs after it was turned on. Rust spots all over front of refrigerator which look terrible. Shower rod in king bed bedroom needs to be moved out or curved rod put in so you don’t have to touch the curtain. TV remote in living room went dead after a couple of hours of being there. Light didn’t work on back porch. Ceiling fan in king bed bedroom had super clicking going on. Sliding door glass in back bedroom was all cracked up. The grout in the living room was cracked up. Most all rentals have at least one trash bag under the original one but not this one. We’ve stayed at several vacation rentals and this one could definitely benefit from some changes/updates.

    We had a great stay at this townhouse! The location is perfect—just steps from the beach, which made it easy to come and go throughout the day. The community is quiet and well-kept, and the space worked really well for our family of six. The bunk beds were a smart use of space and the layout gave everyone room to spread out.The beach chairs provided were decent and definitely came in handy. A couple of things to note: the beds were a bit too soft for our liking, and the kitchen could use more storage containers for leftovers and food prep. But overall, this was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay, and we’d definitely consider coming back!

    Wonderful location! Pots, pans, plates ect. were a little understocked for a family that cooks every meal because of food allergies but more than adequate if you are not planning on eating in every meal.

    We loved the location of the property. The checking process was very easy and when needed to reach the owner they responded quickly. The pictures were a little different the bathroom was not a walk in tub with glass door and the deck doesn’t have the couch. However it does have a bigger table and umbrella which was a plus for our big family. They loved having lunch on the deck after swimming. The upper sliding glass door is broken but doesn’t affect it in any way. The cookware could use an update. We could not find the playpen that was listed. My kids loved the beach gear that was left in the closet and the beach chairs were a plus. The upstairs rooms tvs cable doesn’t work or we couldn’t figure it out. We had a really great week and would definitely stay at this property again. Love stump hole it was great for pictures.

    Beautiful ocean views from bedroom porch. Plenty of comfortable furniture in the home to accommodate our family of 5. Close to boardwalk. Easy check in/check out. Didn't cook but plenty of bowls & silverware for cereal. and snacks.

    We loved the property and will stay here again but we won’t stay at this unit. It was very outdated, the beds were awful and the kitchen was very poorly stocked. The burners on the oven were in need of replacing. Again nice complex but not a great unit.

    The condo was just as described. It’s dated but the location is awesome. Plus we could have our dog. Cape San Blas is a great vacation destination, especially if you want some downtime. The king sized mattress was extremely noisy and not comfortable. The bathrooms were small and the AC did not cool the upstairs in the extreme heat. With that being said- the location surpassed our expectations.
