The entire stay was fabulous!!!

Clean, spacious, and perfectly located! Quick trip to the river chute and downtown shopping and eats! Backyard view of the river was stunning and we loved spending time in the kitchen! Heads-up for soft bed lovers…the main bedroom mattress was very firm. Still a great time and house!

Before arriving, I had some questions and the management company (New Braunfels Escapes) was very quick to respond and very nice, helpful. The house has a perfect layout for large groups (We had 10 people). There's plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. It's a really pretty house in a great location. We floated the Comal River twice and went to Schlitterbaun - each about a 10 minute drive. It was great being right on the water so the kids could fish and swim.

Good communication. Easy check in through text. The house was so lovely and clean, beautiful backyard deck to sit and look at the sparkling lake. We had a great time! We checked in around 4pm Friday. Hung out on the lake for a bit, we tied floats to the dock. We didn’t feel like cooking so had pizza delivered. Saturday we went to the farmers market in San Marcos then ate lunch at Ivar’s river pub which had a great view of the river and the food was yummy. Then we spent the rest of the day hanging out on the lake behind the house and made fajitas on the grill for dinner. Sunday we floated the river then came back and made s’mores. We had no issues during our stay. Truly had a wonderful time with friends!

The location was fantastic- close to town but also the perfect distance away for some R&R. We enjoyed sitting by the lake and using the lily pad in shed to cool off during the heat of the day. The neighborhood was extremely friendly - we even made a friends or two during our stay!The house was beautiful- very clean- plenty of items provided.Check in / out was a breeze. We would recommend this house for a relaxing family getaway 😀

I love staying at this house. It had plenty of room for our large family. The house was very clean. The property was very well manicured. Enjoyed having the water right outside the house. We stayed here for a Christmas holiday and they even decorated the house for us. Would stay here again.

One of the best homes we have vacation in

Overall the property offerings were great for our family. We enjoyed access to the river for swimming and canoeing, close driving distance to attractions like the natural bridge caverns, and enough space for our family of 9. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the property. We found that our bed sheets were not clean (hair, grass, dead bugs, and other particles covered the sheets, most surfaces where coved in dust and many spiderwebs, and the hall leading to the upstairs balcony had leaves and dirt on the floor and doormat. In the kitchen a number of the cups and dishes had a greasy film on them. The management company did offer to have someone come out to change the sheets but we had already unpacked and did not feel comfortable with someone going into the property while we were away. We would recommend this property but encourage the property managers to ensure the property is properly cleaned before guests arrive.

Everything was as described/expected and I’m glad I picked this house. It’s close to everything and the kids enjoyed the water, although they could not reach the bottom, the shed has a huge lillypad they played on every day. The water was a little merky and there was constant boat traffic that made big waves. I enjoyed fishing off the dock. The only bad thing, and this is not a reflection of the owners, but someone left a large dead fish on a stringer to rot. It smelled awful but my husband got rid of it, and the smell quickly left. Other than that, our stay was perfect and I highly recommend this property.

The house was very nice and had most everything you would need to cook. There was lots of stuff to use in the river like a canoe and and river floats. The only thing I wasn't expecting was how much boat traffic there would be. Most of them were courteous when we were in the water. Great place to stay, highly recommend!
