Stayed Jun 7, 2025We've rented numerous beach homes over the years, and this house is certainly at the top of our list! The home is spacious, very well maintained and stocked with just about everything you would need to cook for a large group. The separate annex/loft was perfect for my wife and I to sleep and have a relaxing cup of coffee in the morning before stepping into the main house to start the wonderful chaos of our kids and grandkids! We spent many happy hours swimming and playing in the pool...up to 10 adults/kids in the pool and it never felt crowded! The pool gets sun all day, which kept the water temperature perfect. The private access to the beach, as well as the access to the boat dock/fishing pier meant that the ocean and the intracoastal waterway were each just a very short walk away. And I shouldn't forget to mention the beautiful view out over the marshland out to the intracoastal waterway...a perfect way to end the day!Last but not least, the homeowner was simply lovely to work with...professional, and very timely responses to any of our questions both during the rental process as well as when we were at the home.Yes, we WILL be back next year!

Stayed Jun 9, 2023We had 3 families stay for the week at Holden and had a fantastic time. The house and annex were lovely and are in a beautiful neighborhood, with private access to the beach, but the showstopper for us was the huge pool with the amazing view of the marsh and ICW. We spent tons of time outside watching the kids swim during the day and stargazing at night! Ann was a delight to work with and so communicative! We really enjoyed our week at the beach and would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Jun 2, 2023I believe the listing said unparalleled privacy but that is not the case. Enjoying the pool was impossible with construction work on both sides of the house from 7am to 7pm. They paved the neighborhood with no alternative parking suggestions and no notice that this would be going on prior to our stay. Some of our group were not able to get back to the property while others were not able to leave. The paving went on for 2 days. The construction workers were staring at the girls at the pool which made it uncomfortable. We ended up leaving a day early. We should really get a partial refund.

Stayed Sep 30, 2022We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fabulous house. The pool area is beautiful and the view of the marsh breathtaking. Even saw a buck wading through it! Anne was wonderful working with us as Hurricane Ian came through on the day of our scheduled arrival. Would definitely book this house again!

Stayed Sep 4, 2021The house is equipped with everything you need. There were spices, plenty of pans for cooking, a high chair, a booster seat, and a pack and play. Plenty of space for everyone. We loved having the annex as it was an area to hang out without waking up the babies. The view is very relaxing. Very quiet and you don’t even realize your neighbors are there. We hope to come back soon!

Stayed Aug 28, 2021We had a fun & relaxing week at this beautiful, spacious, comfortable home in Holden Beach! I hope to return! The pictures do not do justice to how awesome this place is! Very private location, not far from the beach if you don’t mind a short walk which is offset by all you get. Also, very close private access to intracoastal waterway with large boat dock. Starting with the house, the layout is very conducive to a large group and ease of fluid indoor & outdoor living. Wonderful marsh views. All fixtures, furniture & decor are very nice. Beds were comfortable, kitchen with everything for cooks, ample TVs all with Roku, lots of bathrooms, surprise amenities / kid games / etc, space for people to be together - or apart. All bedrooms require ability to climb stairs. The ‘annex’ where our teenagers stayed was, as they said ‘spectacular’ - downstairs living room, upstairs loft bedroom, also full bath & big ice maker. It does have a separate exterior entrance from the main house but it’s so close it feels like a part of the same house, and I felt comfortable about it as a mother of responsible teenagers. Best screen porch & best outdoor shower I’ve ever seen in a beach house. Only one fridge & dishwasher, but enough for us. Pool was amazing, BIG, lovely stone tile surround, jumping rock at the deep end. Much of the pool is 8 ft deep with a smaller shallow end. Great fun for teenagers & kids to play games, good pool light at night. Outdoor closet included lots of beach & pool toys which were a hit with the kids. Gas grill. Many decks, secure access to pool so little ones can’t get in. Access to the dock on the intracoastal waterway was a draw for a recreational paddleboarder who wanted to try the ICW & people in our party who like to fish. The 17 yr old caught a huge flounder. If you paddle, watch the tide, wind & wake - was not as calm / relaxing on the ICW as Outer Banks on the soundside! Just walking down there even if you don’t fish etc is an adventure worth taking, the 7 yr old said there were ‘crabs infinity’ on a morning walk. Use bug spray down there! We had friends staying oceanfront so we didn’t use the oceanfront gate, but it wasn’t far to reach, I’d bring a beach cart if I walked it or just drive to the end of the road to drop stuff off easily. Good & helpful communication with lovely owner & property manager. Thank you, Ann & Gail! We had a wonderful vacation. I could go on, but back to reality…

Stayed Aug 7, 2021There isn't enough space here to adequately describe this property except to say that it is by far the most amazing place we've ever stayed. The house itself has everything you could need and is beautifully decorated. There is a screened porch, a pool that is amazing, an annexed area perfect for those who may need privacy and owners who are top notch. Perfection.
