Lakeside Stone Cottage on 6 acres on Hammond--pet friendly

Lovely little cabin just a few minutes outside of the charming (if tourist oriented) town of Weed, CA. Perfect place to stay if you want something out of the way, with lots of outdoor activities, and just enough nearby convenience to stay relaxed.

The location of this cottage is very scenic and peaceful. The seasonal lake had dried up by the time of our our late September/early October stay, but we enjoyed watching the birds and other wildlife in the resulting meadow. Everything in the kitchen worked well, and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely rent again.

The stay was so great! Check in was a breeze. The house was nice and clean and the kitchen facilities were perfect. Wi-Fi was ok, none of us seemed to have an issue. We hope to get back and stay again. Thank you Sylvia!!

We will definitely return to this charming place. No other houses nearby, and a lake view in the backyard. Saw deer, rabbits and cranes in the backyard in the evenings. Host communication was excellent.

We had a wonderful visit! The small lake was gorgeous, the beds were comfortable, house was clean. We used the fire pit daily, found loads of little frogs by the water, enjoyed peace and tranquility. Was a great stay, highly recommend!!!!

Lovely cottage and property, would stay again

We loved our stay in this quiet little home. Its large windows help you feel like you are in the pines next to the lake without leaving the comfort of the inside. We came in December and we didn't play outside much but it looks heavenly! Fire pit and access to the little lake is right there. This listing says it can stay 7 people however I think 4 is more reasonable. There is a blow up mattress that you can air up in the master and a hide a bed in the ottoman (but it was very dusty and unclean). My boys slept two on the queen and 3 on the floor. Also the heating is a little weird you need to keep all the room doors open if you don't like it cold while you sleep. The kitchen was well stocked with tools (it took us a bit to find the fridge as it's in the drawers). We enjoyed soaking in the tub and having the laundry/dryer was a lifesaver after camping. Overall we really enjoyed this home.

Lovely cottage with all amenities, with a beautiful view of (now dry in November) lake, which looks like a golden meadow. Wonderful kitchen, comfy beds, peaceful location with no observable neighbors and sense of quiet and solitude, but only a few minutes to Mt. Shasta. Perfect for 4 adults.

Really nice house at the lake (reservoir) surrounded by woods. Very peaceful and quiet. The lake was dry in October, but the owners were upfront about it. The view from the bedroom in the morning is beautiful even without the water.

The remotely located stone cottage is private and quiet with lots of wildlife and hiking trails. The interior is luxuriously furnished with every amenity including comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the view from the deck even though the lake is mostly dry this time of year.

The house was so quaint and we had a wonderful, relaxing stay. Our dog also had a great time. Hope to return when the weather is cooler. Thank you so much!

It was a great property. We all enjoyed our stay. A great place for family and dogs. The fishing was great and all of the wildlife. We would definitely come there again.

We loved the idyllic beauty of the property and its surrounds. And we loved how thoughtfully constructed the cottage —how in its tasteful shades and intricate stonework and crafted fir cabinets and granite surfaces— it mirrored the beauty of the natural world. Wonderful!

Cute cabin tucked amongst the trees with loads of outdoor space. Well appointed, comfy beds and spacious enough for our party of four. We enjoyed the canoe and trails during the day, and games, cooking and the Olympics in the evening.

We had a great stay! The place was clean, well stocked and in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed watching the wildlife by the lake each day. Access to hiking and nearby lakes!
