Stayed Jul 3, 2024This place was so nice and relaxing! No neighbors. Gorgeous views! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! It was a decent farm house that accommodated our family nicely! We didnt even explore the whole property, and will definitely be back! We miss it already!!

Stayed Apr 20, 2023My husband and I rented this property for our family of 3 children, 3 dogs and adult daughter and son in law for our 15 year anniversary on 4/20/23. We wanted a quiet place where we can take our kids to be outside along with our puppies. The property met all our needs. Beautiful, peaceful, secluded. The view from all windows in the house are breathtaking. We spent all day from sunrise to sunset out side relaxing or exploring. My kids were so excited to see the horses. And with permission from Tim, they were able to even feed them. Our 4 year old loved throwing pebbles in the little pond. The house had all the amenities you need. We barbecued, cooked, watch the sunrise and sunset. My husband and I were able to go into town 5 minutes away for anything we needed. After loosing my Dad in December, it has been a rough past couple of months. So this peaceful getaway was exactly what we needed. Sitting on the hammock in the early morning drinking coffee listening to the stream in the little pond was the perfect way to start my morning. We will most definitely make this a 1-2 times a year family getaway destination! Thank you Bill for your hospitality ?

Stayed Nov 22, 2025Property was beautiful. Lower pond was too hard to fish, as it was surrounded by cattails. Upper pond was very easy to fish. Views were incredible. We were very fortunate that all 3 nights no clouds or moon and we sat out and looked at the stars. Best part is we saw the Milky Way every night. Wildlife we saw deer, Skunk and fox. We will be back probably in warmer weather. : )

Stayed Oct 12, 2025This is the perfect place for a large family group that want to be totally removed from the lights and noise of the city. It's an older farmhouse that's been updated with some very nice appointments. Our favorite, and most unexpected thing was the herd of cows grazing behind the house. They were part of a fantastic view of the mountain from the kitchen window where we tended to gather. We all loved it,

Stayed Jul 20, 2025What a magical week we had at Broadhead Trout Ranch. From the privacy of having the entire 500 acres to yourself, to the bubbling brook surrounded by wildflowers and fresh mint, you will feel like you have stepped into a different world. If your soul needs peace, this is the place to be. Enjoy qu

Stayed Jul 14, 2025We LOVED this property, the ranch house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Our host Bill was great, he had great suggestions for activities and sight seeing. We enjoyed watching the 2 horses and the cattle meandering in the meadows just outside the ranch house. My wife and I with our 2 beagles spent 5 great days here, much of our time was spent on the ranch hiking and exploring the meadows, creeks, ponds and forests FANTASTIC VIEWS in every direction. There is so much to do in the area near the ranch, we made 2 trips to the end of the road up Mt Shasta (Old Ski Bowl trailhead). Castle lake was lovely and the McCloud River falls area is very beautiful, GREAT waterfalls, magical. We're planning our next stay now.Keith & Karla L

Stayed Jul 7, 2025The entry gate area was bleak, having been decimated by a fire a year prior, but once you got down the road the scene changed dramatically, with a lovely secluded ranch sitting above acres of meadows, some w cattle, some w hoses, and several ponds, there are beautiful views of the mountains to the west, and Mt Shasta to the south. I used it as a convenient access for day trips into the mountains, some still w snow, and scenic lakes with wildfl.

Stayed May 28, 2025It’s a very special place, especially for those who want solitude and natural beauty. The house is a rustic farmhouse. The kitchen is new and very nice. The bedrooms are a mix of queen beds, bunk beds, and a small room with a full size (tight fit). The house is bigger than the two of us need, but the property is so beautiful it’s worth it to us. We do day excursions to surrounding sights, but mostly we hang out on the lawn by the small pond and creek and read, plus stare at the expansive view!

Stayed Oct 1, 2024Beautiful property and a working cattle ranch. Took the family and 2 grandkids. Fishing was a bit difficult, but lots of other fishing spots close by. We liked feeding the horses carrots. Cows were great to see all around. Ranch manager Tim was really helpful with tips. Nice ranch to hike all over.

Stayed Jul 23, 2024This property gave me the privacy and seclusion on 500 acres to really get in touch with nature, while enjoying amazing views of rolling hills and mountains. The home is spacious and has a quaint country ranch feel to it. I watched horses and cows grazing in the back, while sipping my coffee in the morning next to a beautiful pond by the house out front. This land is truly magical, and I enjoyed every moment of my stay here. The owner was also a pleasure to work with and was always available to answer any questions that I had. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Stayed Jun 19, 2024Part of me wants to keep what am AMAZING place this was to myself to preserve the awesomeness of this spot. The information from the property manager prior to getting there was outstanding. It was chalk full of ideas and had all the information you could want and more. The location was a mile down a dirt road (bumpy and rocky) on a ranch (bring good footwear to walk around the property). There were beautiful views outside each of the windows in the home. The house was clean and cozy, with all the amenities you could want at a home away from home, with plenty of kitchen utensils pans, and even some extra spices. The beds were very cozy! Oh there is basically one bathroom, with an extra toilet in the laundry room with only a wall for privacy around it. This wasn't a problem, and I'm glad there was an extra facility to use (handy of there's a small group). There's a lovely wood stove (not necessary during summer) and the temp in the home was perfect... Bring charcoal briquettes if you want to BBQ for the outside grill. Wildflowers and water features around make for a soothing atmosphere - and we would go out on the front lawn in the morning to meditate- where we were visited by a jackrabbit in the morning, with cows and horses roaming around. I can't think of one critique or downside to our stay here.(Actually you may want to bring big spray during summer). I'm so grateful this property is available for others to use and can't wait for the opportunity to return!
