Welcome to Mullins Cove. Relax on the large back deck or private dock and enjoy the scenic views of your own personal river and mountain getaway. Bring your boat or other water craft or rent one at the nearby marina. If you plan on bringing a boat, please contact us. A boat that has a deep draft may not be accessible to Mullins Cove.

There are 3 bedrooms, each with their own bath. The master has a king bed and is located on the upper level in addition to a living area with a sleeper sofa. The lower level has the kitchen, dining, main living room, game area along with the other two bedrooms, one with a king and one with a queen. Both downstairs bedrooms have on-suite bathrooms. There are two twin air mattresses for additional sleeping. We have satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Some cell service is patchy due to location and surrounding mountains. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, utensils, spices and condiments. We’ve provided plenty to keep you busy: corn hole, dart board, board games, cards, and books. If getting off the grid and relaxing in a beautiful setting is what you are looking for, then Canyon Cove is the place for you. The nearest shopping is 15-20 min away, so come prepared with groceries and supplies.

Canyon Cove is just 20ft from the water’s edge on a gently sloping lot. A wet weather spring flows through the professionally landscaped property into the lake. The house comes with boat dock, gas grill, fire pit (firewood provided), hot tub, and a gas fireplace in the den. Mullins Cove is an excellent location for fishing. The swimming situation is limited. The water level at the end of our dock varies from 3-5 feet and is controlled by the TVA. Unfortunately, everyone located on any Tennessee River waterway downstream of Chattanooga and into Alabama are affected by a non native invasive plant called Eurasian Milfoil. By mid-late July it takes over the shorelines and shallow areas of the Tn river. We spend significant amounts of time and money each year to keep our dock area clear, but by summers end it is sometimes a losing battle.

Mullins Cove is a 200+ acre lake/cove is fed by 11 mountain springs and the fishing is world class. A bait shop is at the interstate exit, so bring your fishing poles. Mullins Cove is in the heart the Tennessee River Gorge, a scenic causeway surrounded by 1,800 ft. mountains and cliffs, highest on the 650 miles of The Tennessee River. The scenic terrain of the Tennessee River Gorge creates a unique diversity of land forms. The bird watching is incredible here, especially water fowl. Other attractions close by are: Prentice Cooper State Park, rock climbing at the T Wall, hang gliding, paddle the Sequatchie River, South Cumberland State Park, Foster Falls, Racoon Mountain Caverns, Ketners Mill.

Load up the family and visit downtown Chattanooga which offers such attractions as the Chattanooga Aquarium, Creative Discovery Museum, Chattanooga Lookouts, Historic Bluff View Art District, an array of restaurants, and many other attractions. Just a little further is where you will find Ruby Falls, Rock City, and the Incline Railway. All of which are just 40 minutes away!

Parking is limited to 3 cars.

The host was great and very responsive to help with issues. House was comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner.

We had such a wonderful stay at this lake house! It was the perfect size for our family of five, with plenty of space and bathrooms to make everything comfortable and convenient. The home itself was cozy, clean, and well-kept, with nearly everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. (The only tiny hiccup was that there were just three coffee filters—and we’re a two-pots-a-day family! )The views of the lake were absolutely stunning, and the hot tub was such a treat—perfect for relaxing and taking it all in. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely love to come back!

Loved the property. The house was perfect for our needs (4 adults, 4 kids) and there was easy access to the dock and cove. Several kayaks available for our use.

The house is better than advertised, but what they don’t tell you is the best part! Early mornings on the back deck with the sun rising and the peaceful sounds of birds chirping, days spent on the dock with the sounds of the lake as the water ripples, and evenings while the sun is setting with the sounds of frogs, geese and other wildlife. But the best part was that it was all shared with family. Brad was exceptionally available for any questions we had. The house was large enough to give all six of us space, but with such comfortable living room furniture for all of us to gather. Comfy beds so we slept well. We cooked all of our meals because we didn’t want to leave our slice of paradise and the kitchen had more than what we needed. We used the kayaks and floating pads and had a blast on the quiet little cove of the lake. We even got to watch a little otter go back and forth. We have found our paradise and hope to go back again in the future!

We really enjoyed our time at the cove! Fishing off the dock, watching spring rains move over the mountains, relaxing on the couch or in the hot tub. The bird watching was an especially great treat! Bald eagles, blue heron, cormorant, geese, osprey, mutiples types of woodpecker, song birds, and blue birds....we saw them all regularly! The muskrat and turtles made several appearances too. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, all appliances worked well, water pressure and hot water were excellent! On the drive home we were already discussing next time we come.

This is a Very Nice home that is just steps away from a beautiful, serene cove, the perfect place for visiting with family as we did! The two boys (ages 10 and 11) spent most of their time either in the water or fishing with Mom closely watching over them, while the two of us (Nana and Papa) mostly watched from the house because it was a bit hotter than we had expected. However, all rooms (except for one bedroom and the bathrooms) took advantage of the lake view, so we could keep an eye on them from virtually anywhere! The only thing I would caution future guests about is that there is a fair stretch of rough road and gravel driveways, so if you have a low-clearance car or one without AWD or 4WD you might check with the owner to make sure you won't have any issues, particularly exiting the driveway. Otherwise, I would recommend this property to anyone!
