This house has a great location – view is amazing and proximity to the rest of the coast is great. We had problems with the complexity of the door code, the television's internet connection and the heat but were willing to overlook that for the setting.
Great views, comfortable beds, clean house. Easy to miss driveway entrance, so recommend going slow when getting close on the map. Some other reviews mention a musty smell, but having stayed in other coastal properties, it’s not much of a surprise in an older coastal home.
We had a nice stay, but the driveway to get out on to the street is Awful and scary. Really need to put up a mirror or cut some trees. And in the house the lower toilet leeks. The TV is a nightmare need better instructions. Also there wasn’t a decent pan to fry an egg. Luckily I brought my own. We did really enjoyed the decks, the docks and the view. Oh one more thing my husband had to fix the kitchen faucet. You might want to take a day for little maintenance. Because it is a really great place to stay
We loved our stay here. The house is adorable, location is wonderful. When we arrived the house was clean and beautifully furnished. There were only two things of note that we noticed. 1. There does appear to be a smell when you walk in - smells musty/something has been damp. It wasn’t so bad though that we didn’t enjoy our time. We just noticed it when we walked in. 2. The TV really should be replaced. It was glitchy and slow. A very old model. It took us a long time to get it to function. While it does work, it was a hassle. We overall really loved the house and wanted to stay longer. Thank you!
Other than the bed breaking it was a great place
This is the last time I use your service. 3 times in a row, the home I rented was not what it appeared to be on the web site. I should not have had to tolerate the odor of this home during my visit. Nobody from your team reached out to remedy or refund.
Two things regarding the Wi-Fi. One, if Vacasa hadn’t texted it, we wouldn’t have known. It’s not easy to find on the wall. Two, our phones and tablets kept getting disconnected. Otherwise, a beautiful place, and one we’d like to visit again. I’m not sure if it’s possible, but kayaks on site would be a great feature.
As other's have commented, this house is an older property, but that's pretty easy to determine by the online photos. Surprisingly the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, great tv with access to streaming services for family movie night, and if you want a full lake front view....you will get it here! Now the downside...the driveway to this house is hard to see from the road, very narrow, and due to the speed people drive on windy country roads it isn't the easiest to get in or out of. Also, if you plan on bringing your boat to enjoy the lake I DO NOT recommend bringing it down the driveway, if it is on the larger side you will not be able to get it turned around. We learned the hard way. Other than that, we had a great stay at this house! : )
This house has been beautifully photographed for the Vacasa and VRBO websites. And we had a lovely time staying there. But still -- some very serious disappointments, especially when renting through VRBO and paying the VRBO markup. (I later looked on the Vacasa site directly, and the price would have felt more reasonable had we done it that way.) The house has a kind of faded glory. So much has not been updated in so long. And that is OK, there was a kind of charm of living in the 1970s, it just wasn't expected from the listing. The bigger issue was cleanliness. Some of that comes about from just over-hasty changeover - sticky residue of what appeared to be orange juice concentrate in the freezer, numerous (but not all) pots, utensils, flatware and crockery with stains or grease or (even worse) baked-on left over food. We had to really give the kitchen our own clean to feel comfortable there. Sad. But after we did that, it was indeed comfortable. But kind of crummy to spend some hours of your paid vacation to clean stuff that shoudl have been cleaned in the first place. Beds, sheets, towels -- all that was fine and nicely presented and nicely clean. BUT THE FLOORS. Oh my goodness, these floors are FILTHY. They have years, decades maybe, of accumulated grime built up on them. If you simply moisten a piece of paper towel and rub anywhere on the floor anywhere in the house, you get dirty grimy results in about two rubs. These floors need to be properly mopped and cleaned perhaps not between every visit, but maybe once a year? And the rugs on the floors are also kind of skeevy. We turned it into a joke so it didn't ruin our vacation, but really? At at that price? Yuck. Perhaps related, the whole house has a kind of not-properly-cleaned-in-too-long mildewy smell and feel. It needs an overhaul. Location, views, and general friendly layout vibe were great. We had a good time. But felt a little ripped-off.
Home was everything we needed for the week. Enjoyed watching the fireworks from the deck and being able to dock my waverunner at the house was a plus.
Our family loved this property. The view from the house is just amazing. The kids loved fishing from the dock and jumping off for a swim. The house, while not new or recently remodeled, was very clean and comfortable. Space wise, it was great for 4 people but would have been cramped for any party larger. Overall, it was a very positive experience and we enjoyed our time at this property.
Great accommodation on the lake! Private dock and house full of all the amenities you could imagine. The layout of the house was spacious and it’s very comfortable. Would stay there again.
Very well kept home and impeccably clean. Fabulous views from every room and decks upon decks upon decks.
