Take in the picturesque views and dive into all of the area's thrilling outdoor activities with your group of up to four at this cozy one-bedroom home at Cascade Head Ranch. A bright and inviting space that's been updated with modern conveniences, the perfect refuge at the end of a day of activity and a tranquil oasis. Tucked into the evergreen woodlands at the mouth of the Salmon River, where it empties into the Pacific Ocean, this home offers parking for up to two vehicles and plenty of nearby opportunities for play in the great outdoors. Admire the panoramic views and breathtaking coastline on a hike up the Cascade Head Trail, take advantage of fishing, crabbing, kayaking, canoeing or other boating activities in the beautiful Salmon River, or take in a scenic short drive south to reach Devils Lake for even more fishing, boating, and stand-up paddleboarding.
Boasting an open floor plan, the inspired interior is filled with contemporary furnishings, ocean-themed decor, and modern conveniences, including stainless steel kitchen appliances. Kick off your shoes to relax in the living area, where you'll find a comfortable sectional couch and gorgeous views of the river and ocean from oversized picture windows. Flip on the flatscreen TV to see whats on, or pull out one of the home's board games and enjoy some group bonding time.
When it's time to eat, savor grilled salmon fillets or other local fare whipped up in the full kitchen. Its updated appliances and ample countertops will assist in all of your cooking endeavors, and its assorted cookware makes the job quick and easy. Enjoy group meals at the nearby wooden table, or take your breakfast, lunch, or dinner onto the outdoor deck by the grill for its panoramic coastline views. There's even a huge Sitka spruce tree that grows through the deck, preserving the woodland aesthetic.
Rise with the morning sunshine over the gorgeous view of the river and ocean and get ready for a new day of adventures. Brew a fresh cup of coffee to shake off any lingering sleep, then take in all that Cascade Head Ranch has to offer, including perhaps a visit to the extremely isolated ocean beach at the mouth of the river that can be seen from the home, but can only be accessed by boat. Or, take an easy day trip into Lincoln City (10 miles south) for its restaurants, boutiques, and even live entertainment. Keep going south to find the charming Nye Beach neighborhood of Newport (34 miles south) with more shopping and dining options along its boardwalk, or head north on Highway 101 for a day in Pacific City (about 19 miles), where you can pick up a fresh microbrew paired with a delicious meal at the Pelican Pub & Brewery. Cascade Head Ranch is extremely well located to either stay close or venture out.

This little home has everything and was clearly built with love. The view is lovely and the home is cozy. Be sure to download the route on your map app as it is difficult to find offline. The only downside is navigating the stairs for middle of the night bathroom trips.
Small and cozy, this is a perfect place for a writer's retreat or curled up with a good book in front of the fire, the views out over the ocean are enchanting and the deck is wonderful.
Our stay here was wonderful. The home was very tidy and clean, and the views cannot be understated. The drive is a little nerve-wracking in spots, but the natural peace and tranquility of the destination are more than worth it. I highly recommend this spot if an immersion in Oregon's natural beauty is what you need!
It was peaceful, quiet, with wonderful views of a beach and rocky cliff. The home has comfortable furniture and bed, all the equipment and extras you need for a relaxing time - I can't say enough good about it. Loved our stay!
Though a bit challenging to find, especially in the dark, this place is well worth the hunt! We loved everything about this home. Note to yourself that there is no coffee, oil, or even salt and pepper provided, unless you got lucky and something was left behind by previous guests.
Super-cozy! The only thing that would have made it cozier would be the addition of a teapot. Small thing. The location was great. We were warm. Lots of walking possible. Some folks would not enjoy this space because the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. The gas fireplace heat added to the cozy factor. Lots of beautiful views. I want to go back. (OH, we were deterred from the correct road because a sign says private road, so it took us a couple tries to find it. Put private road in the directions.)
The house was very nicely updated and fresh looking inside. The one big issue we had was there were no night in the bathroom that worked. When we contacted VACASA about this issue, because they would come and check it out, that never happened.
It was very clean and the views were spectacular. Next time we visit my daughter I hope this place is available.
Private, quiet, beautiful view. Well appointed, clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back!
The view is outstanding, so much in fact you won’t want to leave. Really quiet, solidly clean, in a beautifully natural setting. Grab some seafood and champagne and enjoy the deck!!!!
