Everything was great! If you bring a boat the closest launch is Joe Bald Park.

It was a very nice property.

This was our second time staying at Carefree Bear Lodge. It is ideal for our large family with older teens and young adult children and dogs. Plenty of space to spread out with many spaces to be all together. Highlights for our kids are the hot tub, canoe/kayak/paddle board for lake time, pool table, ping pong, fusball. Highlights for parents are fire pit to cook out and have smores, huge deck for grilling and eating and letting the dogs play, fully stocked kitchen. Perfect in every way if you are looking to unwind and relax.

Surprising seclusion with plenty of room for your next family get together. We had six adults and a little one, each space was perfect for any particular needs. Enjoyed the waterfront, but watch your step. If you want game night, check, if you want ping pong, check, billiards, check, corn hole, check! Fill the fridge so you don’t need to leave, it has everything. Highly recommended.

The house was great! Within 30 minutes of arriving, my friends all agreed that they wanted to come back next year!The descriptions are accurate. We were very happy that each bedroom had it's own sliding patio/deck doors. The hot tub, grill, fire pit, all as expected. The only ask for improvement is to re-felt the pool table.Communication with the owners was excellent! Check-in and check-out was painless. They checked in with us mid-stay to make sure everything was going well.Thanks for a wonderful time!

Our family stayed here for a week vacation, and it was AMAZING!! The pictures don’t do it justice!! The cabin and property are Beautiful, and have everything you need to just sit back, relax and have Fun!! From the Canoe, and Kayak, ping pong and pool table, we always had something to do! Just sitting down by the water and watching our children play was so peaceful! The Hot Tub was wonderful and so clean and the beds were so comfortable! The place is so clean and immaculate and fully furnished for all you need to get away!! The owners spared nothing on making this the best rental in Missouri! Our family takes a vacation together every year, and we take our children to Silver Dollar City, and this will be the place we come from now on!! It truly was AMAZING!! Thank you for sharing this GEM with other families!! We will be back!!

Beautiful site with plenty of activities to keep our group with young grandchildren entertained. We especially enjoyed evenings around the firepit for Smores and stargazing.

House is in a great location. Used the canoe. Rented a pontoon boat for a few hours from the Kimberling Marina, which isn't too far away. Branson is a short drive and we took in a show and some casual dining. Late September/early October is kind of slow tourist wise in Branson. So, light crowds, but not as many choices for shows. Loved the fire pit, and used it almost every night. Saw several deer on the ridge to the south almost every evening - pretty cool. We had great weather, too. I recommend this property for a family or small group. There were 4 of us, and we all had plenty of room. Owners responded quickly when we needed propane tank replacement for the grill.

We had a wonderful stay at this property and thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit. Unfortunately there were some parts of the house that were in disrepair like the dishwasher, dripping kitchen faucet, downstairs TV that wouldn't shut off, deck ceiling fans that didn't work (I think the battery was dead in the remote). These were minor technical difficulties that can be fixed so we would still recommend staying here.

We had a great time in this home away from home. We had everything we needed and felt at home the minute we arrived.

Couldn’t have asked for better and more private lake access. We thoroughly enjoyed paddle board and kayak. Lots of room for large group. We didn’t go into town because enjoyed the lake trip. Loved yard and bear accents.

We met our immediate/extended family (nine total) here in Branson to checkout it’s many family friendly shows & chose Carefree Bear Lodge for our accommodations because of all the amenities it had to offer! It checked off all my boxes. A lovely homey space that provided my son, his wife and four children the entire basement for a more private space for them, our daughter & our bedrooms upstairs both having separate bathrooms ( so important when everyone getting ready to take off for day of taking in the sights and sounds of the area). Yet we were all able to enjoy a morning breakfast together and hungout watching a movie a few nights too in the open kitchen living area. Kids and adults enjoyed all the lake activities (canoeing, kayaking, fishing,etc) as well the pooltable in basement was a hit. Cornhole on back deck played daily & pingpong challenges in garage! Great place to stay! It is a bit of a descent down to lake but there is also a nice patio area with fire pit which we did not use due to the 90 degree temps the week of our stay. Loved that the central A/C worked well! We would definitely recommend. Only 15 min drive from the busier streets of Branson, but we found Kimberling city and Indian Point too, offer great places to eat at a more leisurely pace.

We had a great family vacation at Carefree Bear Lodge! It was a nice relaxing spot to enjoy the stillness of nature and get to spend time as a family.

Great house for large families! We had a great time!

The property was peaceful, very relaxing. With multiple things to do attached to the property. My family enjoyed playing ping-pong and lounging out on the deck. Lake levels were high, sad about not getting much water time. But,that has nothing to do with how amazing the place was.

This house was so nice as it was private and not a chain of cabins. There was so much for young adults to do. We cooked all our meals with plenty of kitchen necessities available. Lots of sleeping space and access to the lake was amazing! Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property stunning views very private

The house itself, set-up, and location is great but there was a strong feces smell from what I am guessing was a dog accident in the main bedroom. We tried to sleep in the room the first night and as the house warmed up the smell was unbearable. I did talk to the owners and they said they would try to get a cleaning company out but nothing was done while we were there. We ended up having kids share a room so we didn’t have to use the room. We had to cut the trip short due to a family emergency so they may have planned to show up the day after we left to address the issue. I did ask them to compensate something as it seemed odd to have to pay full price and full cleaning fees when the main bedroom can’t be used - they declined which was disappointing but I get. So overall, not the best experience.

We had a great time. Loved the hot tub for this time of year. Kayak was taken down to the lake for a short paddle. Plenty of parking a huge plus as we had three vehicles. Property had plenty of space to explore. Was a quick 20 min to Silver Dollar City, and 30 min from the strip.

We stayed at this property September 2024 with our 2 adult sons and granddaughter. The house was perfectly set up for us to spend time together in multiple areas of the house and to retreat to separate areas at the end of the day. We mostly used the outdoor amenities, fire pit, deck and lake on this trip. We hope to return to this property in April 2025. The weather is likely to be much cooler so we anticipate using the indoor amenities more. The house was very well stocked. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend this property!
