We had a great relaxing time at this place. Property is beautifully located next to Michigan Lake. Unique architecture and comfortable place with enough bedrooms for 5 people and a dog. Most of the near by towns were 5-20 minutes away. Lot of places to eat and explore.

The views and lake access are great. Door County got hit with a blizzard so lots of snow still on the ground and many of the businesses are not open mid week/winter. The house was well stocked and they accommodated our early check in request. This is a pet friendly rental which we were excited to bring our doodle with us. We did not expect to feel like the last pets were also with us. Long Dog hair was everywhere on the furniture, floor and counters. We were all sneezing throughout the stay. Our leggings were clinging to all the hair. The cleaning crew did not do great, dishes, linens and surfaces were dirty. They refunded us do the cleaning fee.

We had a great time staying at the Sandvik house. The home was beautiful, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed besides food and we were impressed that there were sound machines in each room with charging cords for multiple devices. The view into Lake Michigan is one of the best I’ve seen. Our kids played on the beach for hours and the home came with plenty of sand and water toys. We also really appreciated the pack and play and high chair for our 1 year old to use. Our only downside was that the beds all seemed to be a soft memory foam, with the king bed being extremely soft. All four adults struggled to sleep on such soft beds and woke up sore. Other than that, it was a great vacation home and the hosts clearly put a lot of thought into the little touches that make a vacation so much easier.

We had a lovely family gathering of adult siblings and spouses . We rarely left the home . It is beautifully decorated, with many inviting and relaxing spaces for reading, game playing , conversation around the fire, etc. The views of the lake are mesmerizing, even in winter. We cooked and ate most of our meals in and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. Beds were so comfortable and bathrooms spotless. Communication with owners was easy and great. Check in and check out couldn’t have been easier. We really loved this home and would definitely rent again.

Beautiful view from every room. Huge windows and literally on the beach! Perfect for long walks, even in the winter. Unique and functional furnishings! Very well stocked with everything you need. Third floor family room accessible from master suite is beyond amazing! Outdoor fire pit and dry wood to burn! Very memorable weekend! Thanks so much!

The Sandvik house is excellent. I appreciated the attention to details, from dry wood stored in the garage to spices in the kitchen. There is accent lighting in the kitchen and living area, ideal for dark winter mornings and nights. The owners/managers were very attentive to all questions and, even when I left something behind after checkout, they were kind enough to mail it to me immediately. It's a great operation and I highly recommend them.

It was so easy to stay here. There were plenty of thoughtful items like the stocked coffee bar, toilet paper and paper towel (some places make you run out to buy it!), beach towels, and firewood. We didn't cook much, but the flour and sugar and other essentials were nice to see. The view and access to the beach is great. There is a lovely sand beach to play on and a sand bar about 40 feet into the water so there was plenty of clean shallow water to splash in. We would definitely stay again. My kids thought the top floor book nook was the coolest thing ever and a healthy stock of kids books kept them busy. It really felt like a home! All the switches were labeled and there were blackout curtains in the double room so I didn't have to try to hang towels on the wall. This place was well thought out. Thanks for letting us stay!

Love this house! The loft area was especially fun for my kids who were 3 and 8 at the time. We did not have beach towels upon arriving but after reaching out to the owners/property managers, they brought a bunch the next day. Use of the garage was helpful as well. The beach was one of the cleanest stretches of beach along the shoreline! This was a house and an experience we'd definitely do again!
