The private lakeside lawn, pier, pagoda and boat slips are townhome development common areas available to all the homeowners and their guests. Our registered guests can share these spaces along with other community owner's and guests.

Boat slips/docking space is limited and on first come/first serve basis. Usually space is not an issue, but it can be on major summer holidays. Our guests are usually able to bring or rent one (1) boat, prior approval required.

Centrally located, close to downtown, restaurants, stores and groceries -- many of which are within walking distance.

The Daquiri Diner just a short walk up the hill next to the Subway offers free dinner on Wednesday nights -- to go along with your drink of choice. NOTE: This neighborhood bar attracts an older crowds, pets welcome, but no children because of gambling station.

Walk to fast food (Subway, Taco Bell, Burger King, local drive-in), restaurants, bar and grocery.

2 minute drive to Walmart, and numerous restaurant options.

3 minute drive to downtown New Roads with many eateries, bars, shops, boat launch/public pier, parks and specialty grocer.

Across the street from Pointe Coupee General Hospital and an urgent care.

You can expect and the other townhome owners demand a family-friendly, quiet, peaceful experience at the lake, free of rowdy behavior, loud talk and music, noisy commotion or late-night parties.

You are staying at our townhome in a luxury townhome development, not a camp. Respect the other owners and their guests who are in close proximity. Parties and events are not permitted at Bee Happy False River.

★★★★★ We had the best girls getaway. . . . all the extras are so nice an appreciated. . . . The house and accommodations made us “Bee Happy” for sure!

Bee Happy is situated on the water in south Louisiana. Professional pest control is employed. But bugs, gnats, gekkos, lizards, mosquitos, spiders, birds, alligators, minks, snakes and other native species are part of life on the lake. It is inevitable that spider webs and bird poop will show up in outdoor porches shortly after cleaning. Tips on how to mitigate inconvenience on account of pests is in the Bee Happy Digital Guidebook sent to you after booking.

★★★★★ [Our boys] loved catching toads, turtles and enjoying all the critters Louisiana has to offer. We even spotted a gator nearby. The hosts were amazing to work with.

If problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but no one is living on-site 24/7. New Roads is a small town in a rural area, and it may not be feasible to address certain maintenance issues quickly, especially on weekends and holidays.

The host James was wonderful, leaving us a bottle of wine and some goodies for our stay. The place was very clean and peaceful on the water. At one point the hot water heater went out, but after 15 minutes it came back on. James was quick in responding about it concern, and said this is not common. We never had an issue again with it. We got to enjoy a hike at Clark creek and a day in st. Francisville. It was the perfect getaway during the Mardi Gras holidays.

Where to begin!? James was a pleasure to communicate with before booking, while renting, and after. Instructions were clear and thorough on check-in and how-to’s and whatnot. The property is simply breathtaking. Downstairs is a very cozy chill space with a foosball table and games and books and lots of seating and a half bath; walk right out to the pavilion and fish just a few steps from the back door! The downstairs back patio is perfectly set up. Upstairs has the most beautiful views of False River… For sunrises and sunsets. The balcony is HUGE! There were naps taken, and books read, prayers said up there.The kitchen was functional and we cooked just about every meal there. High-quality dishes and knives and pots and pans. Loved the guest pantry! We used some things and left behind some things. THE LIGHTING…. Something must be said of the lighting in Bee Happy. There are lamps throughout with the perfect lightbulb wattage; you don’t need any over head lights. The lamps and natural lighting create a really special atmosphere; this was one of my favorite things about the place. Everywhere I sat felt special. Relaxing was easy. Just a couple of minutes away from Walmart; you can order Walmart delivery right to your door. 20 out of 10 experience here 3 ( had the best visit to Point Coupee museum! Free admission; rented a boat from Geaux Motorsports and thoroughly enjoyed; docked @ the property and so fun!)

Communication with property owners was great. House was well stocked with towels,sheets and coffee. We were allowed to check in early. There is only one that compares to this house and it was when we went to Bar Harbor Maine

Our stay was amazing overall. The location was amazing, it had a good fishing spot along with a nice dock to relax on. Check in was easy and the host was responsive. The kitchen was beautiful overlooking the lake. It was a great vacation would definitely recommend!

My husband and I had a very enjoyable long weekend at Bee Happy! We enjoyed the two lovely outdoor areas facing the water as the weather was great. It has two floors with access from the garage into a lovely seating area with a library of books 1/2 bath and foosball table. Second floor is bathed in sunlight. Decorated with yellows and grays with bee decor. The kitchen is very large with enough counter space to serve a large family. Lots kitchen basics are stocked as well. Three comfortable bedrooms with lots of closet space and extra blankets and pillows The garage has a closet for washer and dryer and closet with lots of swim toys for kids. It also has a lovely gas grill on the deck. It was just two of us staying but could accommodate a large family easily. I will return as we have family in the area. James was remarkable to work with, the unit is easy to find and perfect especially if you want water access.
