Lake Superior views from this private Robin's Nest in the northern woods

Property was a presented. Lovely location off the beaten path. Great views. Enjoyed the sun room overlooking the lake. Kitchen adequately supplied with necessary items. Huge thank you for clearing the driving twice after a substantial snow fall. We would diffidently stay hear again when back in the area.

The Robin’s Nest was a wonderful place to stay while I was working. It was beautiful and even decorated with a Christmas tree for the holidays. The home was clean and had everything that you could imagine needing. I also enjoyed seeing the various deer outside and the display of wonderful rocks from the areathat I had to take pictures of. I would definitely return and would highly recommend staying whether you’re on a vacation or working.

We really enjoyed the fact it was so quiet. It may be the time of year, but we are already tentatively planning a spring visit to family and this is top of the list! Also, the fact they even have a couple blankets to the side for pets who sleep on the bed was a nice touch.

We loved our stay! It was beautiful, peaceful, and close to town.

The house and rooms were immaculate and spacious, and the property as a whole was an amazing setting for our family weekend. The directions for entry were straightforward, and the home felt serene and private for our stay. The hosts were very responsive to communication with questions or recommendations for our stay. We loved our experience with the hosts and property, and we plan to stay again in the future.

We loved this property. The views were incredible! Communication and check in went very smooth. The sofa in the entryway was one of our favorite things, just sitting and watching the wildlife. We saw deer and turkeys and hummingbirds during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

We were very comfortable in the house. View was great but it was raining first day so we couldn’t sit out on deck. Communications with host was very fast and easy. Kitchen was equipped with pans and such to prepare a meal. Beds were comfortable. Loved exploring the area and finding out about the copper mining and history of the area. Would rent again.

Absolutely stellar place to stay! It was clean, very well kept property with tons of space and privacy like advertised. Communications with the hosts was top notch! And we really appreciated all the local best spots to go see - rounded out the whole trip. Thank you for a great stay and if we’re ever in the area, we would chose to stay there again!

Beautiful property! Parking was excellent, the master was comfortable, all of the amenities are here including the view! We would definitely come back here!

What a wonderful place that was off the beaten path. Loved the Lake Superior views and the property. Perfect for relaxing and seeing our MTU student. Icing on the cake was two nights of Northern Lights!!

This home exceeded our expectations. The location provides quiet and solitude. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and organized for preparing and serving meals. Beds, chairs and sofas are all very comfortable. There were games for us to play, baby/pet gates if needed. The hosts have provided their guests with everything needed for a relaxed northwoods get away. This property was one of the cleanest and most comfortable I’ve ever stayed in. Communication was excellent. I’m looking forward to staying here again.

This was a perfect location for a relaxing mini vacation as we hosted a dinner party! The kitchen was spacious and functional so dinner was made with ease. We had a fire pit we all enjoyed with a perfect secluded forest backdrop. It was clean and close to lots of hiking and for the beach.

Robin's Nest was absolutely amazing. The views were stunning! The space was cozy and inviting. The organization of supplies was amazing as well, everything was so easy to find! Very kind hosts, even reached out when the possibility of northern lights was in the forecast. The bathtub was fantastic! The mattress in the master was very comfortable. Lately, check in and check out was easy and clear directions! Just amazing hosts and make your entire stay wonderful!

The home was beautiful, in beautiful location. The area was quiet and peaceful, everything was clean and cozy, and we had everything we needed.

This home has everything you could possibly need. It was cozy and comfortable, very roomy, beds were super comfortable and it’s close to great XC ski trails, which is what we came up for. I bet it’s fabulous in the summer! Maybe we’ll have to come back and see!

We had a wonderful stay at Robin’s Nest. The space was perfect for our women’s winter getaway. The hosts communicated clearly and quickly; the photos and descriptions of the spaces were accurate, and check-in and check- out was effortless . The view of Lake Superior from the hilltop over the trees was beautiful. The remote setting, yet within close proximity to Calumet, and Swedetown Trails, fit our needs nicely. After a morning ski at Swedetown, an afternoon visit to the Mt. Bohemia Spa mid-week was thoroughly relaxing and enjoyed by those of us that went! I am already envisioning a future stay at Robin’s Nest - in a different season, perhaps, when the Keweenaw offers a whole host of additional activities to experience! A great place to stay in the Keweenaw.

Wonderful house tucked away in the woods outside Calumet. Host is super responsive and friendly and helpful! Clean, well appointed, comfortable! Great getaway!

The home was even nicer than the pictures. It was very clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and be very comfortable. The view of Lake Superior was lovely. The location was perfect for us and it was very quiet and private. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay again!

The view and location were amazing. The house and grounds were very clean, comfortable and well maintained. Very private setting (great for an active dog) yet very easily accessible. Communication with host was very easy. The view of Lake Superior from the house and property was very impressive. So relaxing and beautiful.

Beautiful view. We also saw the northern lights and shooting stars. Close to the beach for rock picking. Also close to Calumet for grocery.

We had a great stay at the Robin's Nest! The quiet remote location was perfect for star gazing and quiet mornings. The home was spacious and comfortable for our family. We appreciated how clean and organized everything was, from the kitchen, to the bathrooms. The hosts were helpful and quick to respond. We had quick access to the Keweenaw Peninsula and all the fall colors and rocky beaches we wanted to see. We would recommend a stay here and hope to return in the future!

Wonderful location.

Our stay at Robin's Nest was absolutely perfect! It was a memoria trip as it was the one-year anniversary of my father's passing. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The yard was perfect for the two dogs to run and we enjoyed the view of Lake Superior from a distance and enjoyed some nights around the campfire. My Dad loved upper Michigan and we are hoping to make this our yearly memorial trip. It was a short drive to Lake Supeior as well as to Houghton but was very secluded. We cannot thank you enough for hospitality. I would highly recommend this property!

We loved our stay at The Nest. Some of our favorite features include a very roomy home that accommodated our party of 7 easily, nice and private, loved the firepit, close to the beach for rock hunting and we had the opportunity to see some awesome Northern Lights during our stay. The host was great, place was clean and would definitely stay again!

Great place clean and quiet

We enjoyed our stay, the location, and grateful for what kitchen items were provided. My only complaint was the amount of communication from the owners. Seemed like more than necessary, and getting the notification was stressful, Wonder why they might be reaching out in the middle of our stay.

Our family, 3 generations and furry friends throughly enjoyed our stay. The house was nicely furnished and yard had amazing view for star gazing, bonfire and smores. Lots of privacy in secluded woods and wildlife. Jason & Misty were quick to respond. Would stay again if come back to this area to visit. In just a short stay we covered a lot of area, Calumet Waterworks park just a mile down the road for rock hunting and went to Copper harbor drove up the mountain.

Accommodations were just like described. Beautiful location and views. Very spacious home.

Wonderful property in Calumet. Plenty of room and a great set up for family dinners. The backyard was perfect for kids to run around and adults to enjoy the fire pit. Close to town to get any amenities you need. We will absolutely be back!

Check in and out was simple and easy. The home was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with many extras. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to do for the week. Yooper rock hunting was slim pickings, but the waterworks beach sunsets were awesome. The after sunset glow was amazing off the deck at Robin’s Nest. Check out the photo. We found beautiful wild flowers and took in all the sights of the UP. Our favorite (new stop) was going to the NordicSpa a definite must do for everyone!

The views were beautiful and location suitable to travel to see local attractions. People in these nearby small towns were very friendly.

Great getaway place. Well maintained and very clean. Great back yard for dogs to explore. Owners were very responsive. Would definitely come back again. Highly recommended.

This place was absolutely incredible, out in the country, private setting, and the deer come right up to the porch, or you can see them in the forest. Next to you can see the lake from inside and they leave binoculars in there for you to look at the lake . We saw a bug eagle from a many dears.It was awesome .. It's only a few minutes from the lake period very comfy, a lot of room and we will definitely be back

Came up with my son and his two friends who are thinking about attending Michigan Tech. Was a beautiful place to stay and close to the college also went to Mt Bohemia to the Nordic Spa. Highly recommend. Everything we needed to cook and be comfortable during a snowstorm.

It is clean, spacious, comfortable, and beautiful views. From the entry way to the laundry room we had everything we needed to be satisfied and thrilled at Robins Nest. Good communication with the hosts too. Our visit was to ski Mt Bohemia by day and then good dining at a local restaurant in Mohawk. We will gladly return to this property. Thank you.

The house fit our group perfectly we were there to snowmobile so we hardly were at the cabin. The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were basic but very roomy and comfy. They had extra blankets for us. The grill and washing machines were a nice plus also. Over for any outdoor enthusiasts i highly recommend. I will definitely be back.

The Robin’s Nest was everything my husband, dog & I needed for our 3 night NYE getaway. The house was very comfortable and warm after long days hiking and exploring. It was a bonus the interior was decorated for Christmas - with a tree and all! There is plenty of privacy and space inside and out! We enjoyed walking the trails around the house each morning and searching the lake for freighters. The location was perfect allowing us to explore Copper Harbor or Houghton. Misty & Jason were very proactive and responsive hosts. They offered many recommendations of things to do, restaurants, etc. We hope to visit again soon to experience the Keweenaw during the summer or fall seasons.

This charming home in the heart of Michigan's Upper Peninsula is an absolute gem! It offers the perfect blend of modern comfort and peaceful seclusion. The interior is cozy and thoughtfully decorated—the desk near the entrance is especially fun. The backyard has a fire pit that is perfect for a cozy evening under the stars. The hosts were welcoming, gave clear instructions, and were overall fantastic . If you’re seeking a tranquil escape surrounded by the beauty of the U.P., then this cabin is a must-see!

Our little family had an amazing time meeting in the middle from Chicago and St. Paul. Our pups were welcome and comfortable and played together while we cooked and relaxed. The property itself is gorgeous with an incredible view off the back porch and a picturesque loop trail an easy walk away from the home. The home itself was cozy and clean with plenty of space for us to spend time together, a nice little kitchen and plenty of extra blankets and space to relax. We drove down to the lake (less than 5 min) and played on the playground with our niece and walked along the lake shore looking for fun rocks. I would highly recommend this place for your vacation of any kind with any group. We had a 2 year old and two dogs and it was great. The hosts are communicative and friendly but the home is a ways away from the hosts’ home so the stay was very private and created an intimate space for our family to enjoy a weekend together. Beautiful all around, 5 stars with no hesitation! ❤️
