Lake Superior Ice/Sea Caves Bay Lodging. Near Apostle Islands & Bayfield

Bedrooms and kitchen were great. Furniture, floors, wall paneling were warm, attractive wood. We didn't use the living area much because it was less amenable to the work and conversations we were having. Given the cold and rainy weather of late October, it would have been nice to have a gas fireplace as a focal point in the living room but I understand that cost and safety issues may preclude this. Nice property and beautiful lake views. The owner, Hans, responded quickly and clearly to our questions. Would stay there again.

The house was extremely clean, which is very much appreciated. It was comfy and cozy. Location of course is amazing. Sound of the waves while falling asleep was a treat. Plan on bringing all your own toiletries. And a corkscrew :)

The cabin was clean, comfortable and private for our family vacation. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and the big DR table was the perfect size for playing games in the evening. The couches had built-in recliners that were very comfortable. We were only sad that the fireplace wasn't usable. But the view of the beach was beautiful at all times of the day. We spent most of the time on the beach or site seeing, there was plenty to do for all. We didn't need to contact the host for anything during our stay, but all contact we did have before our stay was very pleasant and timely. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful location, comfortable beds and ample space for a large group. Amazing views and a lovely sand beach. Can’t wait to return!

The stay was fantastic !! The cabin had EVERYTHING we needed and it was in close proximity to hiking trails, Bayfield, etc. In addition, it was secluded enough to provide personal quiet time to relax, unwind, read books etc. The wifi was a little slow but it may have been because we had several family members using it at once. We also like wood-burning fireplacees and the cabin didn't have one that was operational However, we did enjoy campfires directly on the beach which made up for it. We would definitely recommend !!!! 100% satisfied !!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! The cabin was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing family getaway. We loved that the property was private and secluded, and we had the beach all to ourselves — such a treat. The host was friendly, responsive, and easy to get in touch with whenever we had a question. Overall, it was the perfect mix of peace, comfort, and natural beauty. We’d love to come back!

This is a beautiful property. The views from the house are amazing. We enjoyed watching ships, and were lucky to see the northern lights. The beach is wonderful. The home is well laid out and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would be happy to visit again.

We loved the property and peacefulness of it. It was our annual girl's weekend of 6 friends, and we all had enough room to stay comfortably. It was clean and had everything we needed to have a great weekend. The only complaint we had was the mouse that visited us on the last night. We were there in the fall so it's not uncommon to have mice looking for a place to winter...but we are not fans of having them share our space. lol Host was very responsive to our needs. We would not hesitate to return to this property.

That was the word we kept coming up with while we staying here. The beautiful cabin with gorgeous wood paneling and floors, the sound of the waves at night, the beautiful beach and water. Our whole family for ages 6 to 76 thought it was wonderful. Some took kayaks and paddled up the little creek to find a heron, a muskrat and a beaver dam. Some went into Bayfield, just a half hour away and looked in the shops which had wonderul artisan pieces. Some went on the ferry to Madeleine Island for the afternoon, exploring the beaches and scenery and having lunch at the Beach Club which was great. (whitefish tacos). I myself swam and played in Lake Superior, pleasant after that first dip. The water is shallow pretty far out so children are safe to play there with just a little supervision. Loved the Driftwood Boat!! And the swings!!

We have a large family of 8, we enjoyed our stay, everything was perfect from the location, the view, the beach, beds, etc. we will be back and can’t wait! Our only regret is not staying longer! Thank you for a great experience!

Stayed with several family members for a few days in late June. Beautiful view of Lake Superior, but the weather during our stay was cold and rainy so we did not get to enjoy the beach or outdoor deck. The house is very nice and well kept. Everything was as advertised except WiFi (there wasn't any). The owners were very helpful and answered questions promptly. Overall, we had a nice stay.

The cabin was great! The location was fabulous! We loved the private beach! We couldn’t have enjoyed it any more than we did!!!

We had such a great time! The location is convenient to Bayfield and the surrounding area, and the walk down the shore to Meyers beach and the sea caves was beautiful. This location was private and peaceful. There were mosquitos out, but that's to be expected in summer with woods, streams, and wetland all around!
