Lake Superior Home with semi Private Beach, Amazing Views

We always really enjoy our stay at Grey Haven and can't wait to go back!!

The home is beautifully situated and beautifully furnished. We loved the artworks and the shelves of books, and the views are amazing! The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed the beach every day. We did not make much use of the firepit as it is a ways from the house on a somewhat steep path that is tricky to navigate in the dark. I would also mention that this house may be more appropriate for short term stays as there is no access to laundry and there are certain restrictions on water usage. But for a long weekend on the North Shore it is a beautiful spot!

A beautiful lake home with great views and the sound of waves crashing as you fall asleep! The only thing we would let people know is that while the beach (also quite beautiful) is listed as private in the property description, it is not exclusive — the beach is shared with two other adjacent lake homes. We were not aware there was a distinction, and depending on who was at the other properties, it could make a significant difference in your experience. If that fits with your expectations, you will have a wonderful stay!

Location to restaurants and day trips was ideal for us. House was clean and spacious.

Games, movies, amenities, room/space for relaxation, stocked kitchen-- this place has everything you need for a relaxing and restorative stay. Property was spacious, clean, great amenities and views, also had great areas for kids to explore, (loft areas)”. Lake shore was fantastic, however it should be noted that it’s a little bit of a hike downhill, which was hard for our older friends. My wife and I most definitely would recommend and plan on going again.

This is an extraordinary home! It has beautiful views of the lake and wonderful spaces for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful setting. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. We loved the location - convenient to Lutsen/Tofte and Grand Marais - not to mention the direct access to Lake Superior! We would love to stay here again!

Lovely tree house feel, loved all the windows, ceiling fans helped a lot, always enjoy hearing the sound of Lake Superior waves all night. Feels like the ocean.

Check-in was easy. Excited by the great location, sumptuous furnishings and wonderful views. Kitchen is top notch. Good Wi-Fi access. Would stay again.

This home was perfect! It was the cleanest home we’ve ever rented, I mean….spotless. The lighting is beautiful, rustic elegance, and the bedroom set up is amazing. Each bedroom has their own bathroom and the master bedroom is separated from the other two bedrooms which worked out absolutely perfectly with our snorer in the group. The “perch” on the top level has two sofa-like chairs which were incredibly comfortable with a blanket on each of them. Gazing at the night sky and the lake…..it’s overwhelming. We would definitely stay here unreservedly again. We had the most special time.

An absolute gem, from the beginning of our stay until the end. Very clean, fun winding staircase up to the 3rd floor cupola where we had great family discussions. Had a camp fire, swam off of the private beach, skipped rocks, played games, hiked, and enjoyed visiting Grand Marais.

The views from the house are amazing. The cabin feels cozy. The owners have exquisite taste and every bit of the house is beautiful. The check in process was easy. It’s in the woods, and yet only minutes away from stores.

Property is very beautiful and conveniently located near Lutsen Skiing. House had all the kitchenware we hoped for and was super clean.

This property is in a beautiful location with access to Lake superior. It is quite rustic with limited hot water and we did run out despite our careful and coordinated planning. Unfort the owner didn’t want to be bothered with our hot water issue, as after waiting 12 hours for a response the answer was that it was ‘our’ responsibility to call someone else :(. The views were partially blocked due to dirt and cob webs, as well as outside condensation on the upstairs tower windows. First VRBO where coffee or tea was not included or available so byoc.

What a beautiful home to spend our annual weekend at the North Shore. It was so warm that we actually took a swim in Lake Superior!

This has been our go to location for the past several years when we make our annual fall trip to the North Shore. We love the location, being right on the lake and it works perfectly for three couples that each have a bedroom and more importantly, their own bathroom. The lookout at the top of the home is my favorite spot to read, nap or just enjoy a cup of coffee with the view. Easy check in and check out adds to the ease of mind. We'll be back again!

Loved the home and the fact that the bedrooms were all on the main level. Had everything we needed. Very much enjoyed relaxing on the deck and listening to the surf. It was close to the golf course. The only possible negative is that the one bedroom had twin beds.

This is the 2nd year my family has enjoyed this wonderful cabin. Before we even started our weekend the grandchildren were asking if we could do it again next year. The cabin is perfect for families, incredibly private, great views and as cozy as it could be. And…it looks like we will be booking again for next year.
