Our family recently stayed at this property and, while we enjoyed several aspects of the home, our experience was mixed due to a number of challenges that future guests should be aware of. The house itself is spacious, comfortable, and well‑located. The beds were comfortable, the large common areas allowed our family to gather easily, and the enclosed porch was a daily favorite. We also appreciated the proximity to shops, gas stations, and local activities. However, we encountered several issues that affected the quality of our stay: *Kitchen supplies were limited. *The grill and kayaks were not clean. *The ping pong paddles were unusable; we went to buy our own. *The guest bathroom had visible mold. *The TV systems were difficult to navigate. *The pathway to the water is extremely steep, which made it inaccessible for the seniors in our group. This significantly limited our ability to enjoy the dock area as a family. The driveway is also very steep, which created challenges for our older family members, including one who uses a walker. The most significant issue was the extremely low water level, which made the dock unusable for boating or fishing—two of the main reasons we booked this property. It was impossible to dock a boat or fish from the dock. The listing highlights, Bring the boat!, good thing we didn't. We request a small refund to reflect the discrepancies in the listing, but our request was refused, which was disappointing.

I can not praise this property enough. It was beautiful, lots of room, clean, and in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved everything about it and will be booking again soon.

Fun place. Good communication with host.

Tom is an excellent communicator! He answered almost every question within minutes. The area is beautiful! The property is right on the lake with a large dock access and the house includes some kayaks, a fire pit area, and a hot tub. This was great for our family! We came in the colder time of year and it was great to unplug an look out at the view while playing cards as a big group. The house has ample space! It is larger in person than in the pictures and the view is really nice. Super quiet neighborhood.Thanks for the great stay Tom! Our family really enjoyed it!

Great stay! We had two families that stayed for a Clemson football game. House was stocked with kitchen supplies and everything else we needed. We ended up renting a pontoon boat from the neighbor (sign on the fridge) which worked out amazingly! Definitely would rent again.

This house is amazing! Just as described. Beautiful outdoor spaces, lots of fun activities both inside and out. The owner is VERY responsive to questions. The house is clean and just beautiful. Loved our stay!

Amazing house on the water. The back patio is the perfect place to hangout especially if you like to grill. The owner was super easy to communicate with and made it super stress free!

We are a group of women who travel to the fifty states and we stayed here for our South Carolina stay. The home was everything they said. The kitchen had all that we needed and more, which was really appreciated! (I am talking dishes, flatware, glasses, cups, pans, pots, sm appliances, EVERYTHING!). The house was clean with the exception of a few corners that had been overlooked, and a shower curtain that needed to be washed or replaced. The kayaks and canoes they allow you to use are so fun! I kayaked for the first time at 70 years old! The beds were comfortable, and the furniture layout worked well for us. We loved the closed in porch and the second porch in the back that overlooked the lake…All in all a most delightful time was had by all! Thank you for being great hosts.

Fantastic stay on Lake Hartwell; the house is equipped with everything you would need and the location is very convenient to Shopping and the interstate. The dock is the place to be sunrise to sunset. Beautiful, walkable neighborhood. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic trip here! The hosts were very nice and responsive. The house was well stocked and had a long driveway which was great for the number of guests we had. It easily fit 8 cars. The rooms and bathrooms were great. Nice to have the extra fridge downstairs and the game room! The kayaks and canoes were awesome to have to. Right next to a boat ramp so easy access If you have a boat, which we did!Highly recommend!

house is a great fit for our family. teens and adults not on top of one another, yet still close. hill pretty steep though. would like to come back next year. group deciding on dates. kind of pricey, vrbo fees double the cost. another consideration

House is beautiful and wonderfully equipped! We vacationed with 2 other families and we loved the close access to open water, swimming off the dock, and the amenities of the house! The host was great to communicate with and responded very timely! Thank you and we will be back!

Great house, Great location, Great dock, Great view, Great time! ALL beds comfy, towels plentiful, seating arrangements perfect, kitchen area big enough for big family! Sunset every night, fishing and swimming off the dock everyday, lake is stunning…We loved our visit and so happy we chose this house! Tom is a wonderful host with great communication.

This property was as advertised. House was clean and fully functional. We kept two boats at the dock which had electricity on the dock. Great access to some of the best fishing and recreational areas on the lake. I would stay there again.

This house was perfect for hosting family for our daughter’s Clemson graduation! Plenty of space and the deck was a great place to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. The host was very helpful and communicative, which made our stay so relaxing. Would stay here again!

We had an amazing weekend. Tom was very attentive and easy to work with and very gracious with the check in and out. The house has everything you could possibly need for a fun lake weekend. We had lots of space with an upper and lower living area. The dock was nice and tucked in a cove so there were no boat waves or traffic. The neighborhood boat launch next door was a huge perk. The house is very nicely updated and stocked. Our 5 and 8 year old really enjoyed the downstairs area and we all enjoyed the nice hot tub. The covered dock is great and the location is very close to Green Pond Landing which was great for putting our boat in and fishing a bass tournament while we were there; also plenty of driveway length for parking a truck with a trailer. It is a bit of a steep walk between the house and the dock but that looks to be pretty common in this area of the lake. The kid sized kayaks were nice to have and the pocket is nice and calm off of the main lake. Tom communicated very well and was extremely responsive. There was plenty of room for us, our kids, and grandparents and plenty of plates, cups, utensils, etc. It's also very conveniently located to grocery stores, tackle shops, and more. Thank you for the nice spring break stay!

This house was great for our large family. There are so many comfy chairs and nooks that we were not on top of each other. There were lots of towels , blankets and pillows. This is rare for a rental home. The hot tub was so relaxing. We will be back!

Great time and location

The house was clean, which we appreciated very much. The screened-in porch was awesome; we spent all evenings there, and the views are very nice—it feels like you are in a treehouse. The listing said there were hairdryers, but I couldn't find one in any of the bathrooms. Overall, it was a great stay!

We had two families for a football game weekend and the house was truly delightful! Incredibly clean from top to bottom, new appliances, great bathrooms, plenty of sleeping spaces and so much room for everyone to eat and gather. Even with 11 people in the house, teens and adults, the house felt peaceful from room to room and we could hardly hear the teens downstairs. The outdoor decks are large with a new grill, and we enjoyed the beautiful lake views and evening sunsets. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Lots of thought has gone into supplying plenty of glasses, plates, silverware, towels, etc. Tom was a pleasure to communicate with and we all had a wonderful time!! Thank you for a great weekend!

The house is very well maintained and spacious. There are many activities on offer, water sports, games, puzzles, ping pong etc. The host is very responsive and helpful.

We found the home to be exactly like the pictures in the listing. There were plenty of water toys available and the dock was a great place to hang out and swim from. We especially liked the fire pit. We are already talking about renting the same place next August.

Beautiful property and home. It did need a little more care inside. It had everything we needed. Everyone had a great time.

The house was really clean and very large. Our family of 9 never got into each other’s way. The host was very responsive with the small problems we had. We will definitely come back!

This is our third time staying at the property and it is always well kept and owner is nice and responsive of any needs we may have. Definitely recommend staying here and we look forward to staying again.
