Lake Gaston Retreat!

Home was clean and had everything you need.

It was a beautiful stay. Highly recommend! The owner is very responsive and the area is lovely.

Location was great, there was plenty of fun things in the house and immediate area. The host was also very responsive to questions/concerns even on the holiday.

The home was basic and seemed more geared to teens than littles. We spent quality time with extended family. Wifi was weak at best and affected tv service in the basement.

We enjoyed our stay here. The layout was perfect for 4 adults and 4 younger adults (our grown kids). The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and serving. The check in was easy and the host was very quick to respond.Check out was also easy. All in all a very comfortable stay for our weekend at the lake.

Great place with all the amenities! Easy check in, questions answered quickly. We had paddle boards so it was easy to get to the deeper parts of the lake to swim. If you are wanting to jump off the dock to go swimming, this is not the place. It is shallow right off the dock with growth and mud. They do supply a paddle boat so you can get to the deeper parts! Overall a fantastic place!

I met up with an old friend who I hadn’t seen in decades. We had a very nice time relaxing golfing and playing some music together. The place was exactly what was advertised. I would definitely return and recommend to anyone

Perfect property to relax and have a quality stay. My girlfriends and I never left the property-we had a wonderful friends’ reunion. We picked a spot half way from Charlotte and Arlington-we could not have picked a better spot. Very clean, and phenomenal communication with the owner.

Seven of us used this property for a ladies' retreat. The house is very nice. The cleaning crew did a great job. The kitchen was well stocked with tools, towels, dishes, cups, glasses, crock pots, toaster, coffee pot, and even spices. The beds are comfortable, the futons seemed more suited for children than adults; but we just rearranged a little and all slept well. Communicating with the property manager (Dustin) was exceptional. I was probably a bit of a pest as I kept coming up with questions; but he was patient and always answered quickly. We would all recommend this property. Alot is offered for the price.

We had a great trip to the lake. Got some fishing and boating in. Home is located close to Holly Grove Marina very convenient if you need something quickly also not too far from South Hill if you needed extra supplies or wanted to grab dinner out. Properties suited us very well everything was as advertised highly likely that will stay there again!

Plenty of room for us, very quiet location and no issues getting our 18’ boat in and out and docked. Enjoyed the screened in porch and the home has pretty much anything that you would need for your stay. Thanks!

House was very very clean. Well equipped. Nice view. Basement has a nice play area. We enjoy very much our stay at Dustin's house. Communication with Dustin was excellent. We love it.!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Smith house. I brought lots of things I didn't need , every item used in kitchen and bathrooms was provided. Im not used to this level of homeyness. The bedrooms were large the beds were comfy, and bathrooms too, and the house was clean as a whistle and smelled divine. Enjoyed the ping pong and the boathouse. The VRBO app wasn't working properly but the owner communicated everything necessary. It was so quiet at night and stargazing was perfect.

Overall, this lake house exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to come back!
