Lake Escape - Updated 2024 - Unobstructed Views at our Family-Friendly Retreat!

Everything was good except we had no hot water and no trash pickup..we would stay again know that we know

The house had large rooms and common areas, which was so nice for our big family. Also, there were a lot of great yard games and the kitchen was well stocked.

Relaxing stay. Well-stocked, open concept house with plenty of room for large groups & great views & direct access to the Lake. Lots of activities including PingPong. A great neighborhood for walking & meeting people & their dogs.Only suggestion we had was a deep clean of the Bathroom & Shower tiles - the nature of waterfront property where moisture/humidity tend to settle easily & stick around.

Had a great time at the house. Loved the open floor plan and spacious living areas with a clear view of the lake. Enjoyed the back yard and made s’mores over the fire pit. Looking forward to going back soon!

Great stay. Loved the proximity to poplar pointe, golf, and the beach.

Overall we had a lovely stay. We loved how calm the neighborhood and cove was - perfect for small kids to play in the water together as we didn't have to worry about passing boats. However this also means the water could feel a bit stale at times. We also loved Lake Gaston as a whole and appreciated the proximity to the Shady Shack (by boat). And Faith is an awesome host. She responds quickly and makes sure that you will have a great stay!Some things that took away from an otherwise perfect stay was the stumps that made it difficult for us to navigate parking the rental boat. Some beds probably need to be updated as they were quite squeaky, and there could be a bit more deep cleaning.The house is spacious and there are lots of places to hang out. We loved the fire pit and the deck! And really appreciated all of the water toys and indoor toys that Faith provides. All in all a great stay!

Our stay was most excellent. Home was large and the separate kitchen and living spaces worked so well for our large family vacation. The kids stayed downstairs predominantly while the grownups stayed upstairs. It worked out SO WELL! The kitchen upstairs was so well stocked. The frying pans were worn but we've experienced that in every rental we've stayed at, so it was expected. The views are amazing, and the screened porches upstairs were wonderful for conversations and drinks once the sun set. We enjoyed the gigantic lawn with many games. The pier and kayaks were wonderful. We spent every single day on the lake as we really lucked out with the weather and only had 1 day of rain. We loved the geese on the lawn in the mornings. The amazing selection of games in the game closet was such a bonus! We love Lake Gaston and we loved Lake Escape. The convenience of the lake/boathouse and the house is our favorite thing. No packing everything and everyone up to drag to a beach. We ate at 313 Franklin St Friday evening and it was amazing. We cooked all the other nights in the house. Every meal was a success. The small frig on the pier as described in the property details was nowhere to be found but the close proximity of the house made that a non-issue. Curtains in all the rooms would have been nice as some of the bedrooms have no curtains though there are blinds at every window. Lilly pad belongs to us. In all - we REALLY enjoyed our stay. We'll be back!!

Lake Escape welcomed our group with open arms! The house was perfect for our 4 family group of 15. The double kitchen was just right for us and they were stocked with everything you need. They had all the utensils you can think of including the tools for the Blackstone grill and also a crockpot if you needed it. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and the beach area was delightful for the kids. The kids loved jumping off the backyard dock into the water and the ability to tie off the jet ski there was a plus. The view from the deck was amazing. Faith was a great communicator and answered any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

The house is beautiful and exactly as shown. It was perfect for what we needed. The most well stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen. Communication with Faith was flawless. We would definitely stay here again.

Lake Escape is spacious, cozy and packed with all we needed for making wonderful memories with our ladies group. The well stocked kitchen makes it possible for us to make all our meals without hassle. The decks, screened porches and boat house provide lots of great options for sitting, visiting and enjoying the views. Faith is a great host and always makes sure our needs are more than met.

My Mom, my sisters and all of our families enjoy staying here two years in a row to celebrate the holidays. The house is spacious and has everything we need for my foodie sisters to cook great meals. The property manager Faith is friendly and super responsive but we've only had a glitch with the Internet once. Mainly we talk to Faith because she's great about checking in and making sure everything is great. Highly recommend for groups or family gatherings.

We had 13 women that are a faith-based group. We had so much fun in the house. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Lots of sitting space. The two kitchen was especially helpful.

Comfortable house with a beautiful view. There are lots of mobile homes in the neighborhood. Suitable for a family gathering. The carpet in the first bedroom on your left is filthy, and the bed is falling apart. No support for your back. I do have videos and photos. There is a $250 linen fee. The towels are extremely old and small. The AC never WENT BELOW 73 (it was hot, a heat wave). I texted the host and she alleged remotely she was able to see it was 67. We cleaned the house from top to bottom. We have tons of photos. We stayed four days and three nights. We paid a lot of fees, insurance, linen, cleaning, etc., etc..after the bedroom and AC incidents, we requested a small refund, and she refused. I was expecting better customer service.

We enjoyed staying at this home for the weekend. We loved playing outdoor games and relaxing at the bonfire.

We had a wonderful time this weekend. The house is older and could use a deep cleaning and minor cosmetic repairs but we enjoyed our stay. The queen bed on the main floor could definitely use a new mattress due t o sagging, but other beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We had a fantastic time staying here. The house is huge and comfortable. It accommodated our large group with no problem. Plenty of bathrooms and a large kitchen. The yard was nice and had plenty of amenities such kayaks and a fire pit.

We had an awesome time at our time on Lake Gaston! Once we figured out the shallow cove issues with our boat, all was well. House has lots of space, big kitchen, and one of the best views! An easy boat road to Shady Shack for dinner. And owner was amazing!!

Our family gathered at Lake Escape for my husband's 80th birthday. Everyone had their own space inside with lots to do outside. The view of the lake is amazing and having access to kayaks and inner tubes enhanced the experience for all. Inside we had a ping pong table as well as 2 living rooms and 2 kitchens. We all had a fabulous time.

We had our family reunion trip and spent a week in this property. We loved the lake house and the lot of space for cooking and dining. We did have fun time to enjoy water activities and family gathering. Just few negative things: We found several cockroaches in the house - killed at least 2 inside the capital suite room and 1 in the patio. The mattress quality isn’t that good in general and my family members had to use the air mattresses to sleep on the floor instead.

Is the second time we stayed in this house. The house is beautiful spacious, it has everything we need, the lake is good for fishing, we enjoyed it a lot and we will come back again Mrs. Faith is wonderful
