Considering Mountains Lake Why choose ! Lake Chatuge has it ALL!

Come relax and unwind and take in some of the most stunning and peaceful views in the entire area. Lakefront Haven is a beautiful ranch with a basement, with gorgeous double level rocking chair lake and mountain views w/private dock and great fishing on Lake Chatuge! Known for striped bass!

Close to Hayesville, NC, Hiawassee, GA, Murphy, NC and the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds!

21-mile view to BrasstownBald (highest point in GA) on wraparound rocking chair screen porch and patio below. Lakefront Haven has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms w/ 2 levels of entertaining space, wet bar, 2 wine frigs, fire pit & pool table and grills. Telecommuters welcome - we have HIGH SPEED INTERNET! Gas fireplace in living room w/streaming SMART TV and our digital collection of 200+ movies and various streaming services. Two luxurious adjustable king bedrooms on the main floor each with smart TV and a desk. Third bedroom downstairs has a double bed, and two twin beds and a twin trundle. There is a full bathroom downstairs as well.

Swim/boat/fish on Lake Chatuge, then BBQ and watch the sunset by the fire pit. Compare s'mores recipes. 2 kayaks & 2 stand up paddleboards for year-round fun!

There’s grass under this area of the lake, so it’s great for fishing because they like to hide in there (striped bass.) Lots of fishermen frequent in this cove when it is tournament time. When the lake is low, the view is still stunning, all nice and green and the dock is on a tributary that feeds right into the lake, so there is some moving water year round. From fish to geese and deer, rain and snow there is always something to see. We are literally nestled in the mountains on the lake.

From April - August bring your boat! From September-April water is too low for boat at dock. To access the lake, use the double boat ramps at Ledford Chapel, Jackrabbit Mountain Recreation Area or Chatuge Dam. There are many easy nearby lake entry points. 2 Kayaks, 2 SUPs are included with the house and they are great year round! We have life jackets in a variety of sizes. We also have some fishing gear so you can try to get some of those striped bass.

We send you a personal code so you can check in on your own. We leave you alone to enjoy and make those memories. We’re always available by phone, text or messaging.

Our dock is SECOND one down from the house. It has a wooden pier and an aluminum arch to a square dock. Please raise the dock ladder before you leave the dock each day.

We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. The north side of the lake has stunning long range mountain views. This home is convenient to many things yet surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest and the Tusquittee valley. So much to do and see right in town.

Downtown Hayesville is simply charming with walkability to several shops and dining establishments. Explore the square, take a yoga class, try a new microbrew at Nocturnal Brewery, have a five star meal at the Copper Door, get a gourmet cookie from the bakery, shop at Tiger's general store or get ice cream at Chinquapins. Pick up tickets at a show at the Peacock. This town is simply lovely.

Hiawassee, Ga. and Murphy, NC are both right around the corner and there are weekly free concerts at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC in the summers.

We have a handy Welcome Guidebook in the house FULL of dining options, things to do - shopping, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking and waterfall trails, dog friendly wineries with live music events and tastings. Fantastic spa close by. And a short 25 min drive to Helen for tubing or zip lining, wine and craft brew tastings, local stables, or Murphy, NC for Harrah's casino.

If you don't have a boat, there are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters... They will set you up, rent by the day or week! They have all kinds of water toys too like jet skis - park the boat at our private dock during your stay when the lake is up (May - August.)

Hike or drive to the apex of Bell Mountain, which overlooks the lake below and provides picturesque mountain views. Go out the main road to the right and you will find the Shooting Creek Overlook which is breathtaking. Visit Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. Jackrabbit Mountain, Chatuge Dam, Clay County park and beach, Trailheads of the Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine, are less than 10 miles from this home.

You get to enjoy the whole property.

Upstairs has a master king size adjustable twin/twin bed so each side can be set to your personal preference. The master has an ensuite bathroom with standing shower. The second upstairs bedroom is an adjustable King Serta. Second upstairs bath has a luxurious deep soaking tub. Downstairs has 3rd bedroom with 3 twins (one is a trundle) and a double bed. We loved it here!! Beautiful rental! Beautiful View! Scriptures and God winks all throughout the house was such a neat thing! While staying in this home we did so many things close by. We zip lined an hour away! My step-Father, husband, 6 year old son, and myself enjoyed that sooo much! We fished on the lake and caught some nice ones! We took our 6 year old son to ride his electric bike at a track up the road with beautiful Mountain Views. We did pottery in town! We went for a day in Helen and got yummy treats from a bakery and blown glass trinkets to bring home! It was fun for everyone! Great restaurants all around! We give it 5 stars!! The house was a perfect spot for all of our adventures and a cozy home to spend with your family!

The house was perfect! The location and accommodations were ideal. We cooked most meals. We are not used to charcoal grill, prefer gas grill. The house had more lake toys than expected. There were 6 adults and 3 children, ages 1, 2 and 3!! We had plenty of room.We definitely will be back! The place is a gem!

The cottage was exactly as described. Great location. Clean. Well stocked. Everything you could need in the kitchen is provided. If you have a favorite pan or knife bring it along. Morning coffee on the screened porch. Afternoons on the lake or nearby golf courses. Evenings playing games, or pool, enjoying movies and the fire pit. The cottage layout was great for our group of 5 adults. Kids would definitely enjoy the basement. Remote work was a breeze. Wish we had time for the kayaks and paddle boards. We will definitely be returning.

Nice, clean, well equipped lakeside vacation rental. We enjoyed the property and the ability to have our boat on the boat dock across the street from the house. Strongly recommend this VRBO.

We have stayed in a lot of VRBO's and this would be at the top of the list. Our group consisted of 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 fifteen year old boys. We all enjoyed ourselves and I think the boys and the Daddy had the most fun. Kayaks and paddle boards were a big hit. We rented a pontoon for a day and pulled them on a giant tube. They loved it. When in the house they played lots of card games well into the night. The sleeping accomodations were great. Fun was had by all and we hope to come back again. Nana and Mom really enjoyed floating in the water and soaking up the sun. Papa and Dad also went fishing and took the boys too. We had a glorious sunny week after weeks of rain and cool. We welcomed summer on the lake.

We had everything we needed to enjoy a week long vacation on Lake Chatuge. The house was just perfect for our Teen boys to hangout, play pool, fish off the dock, kayak, paddle board, we did everything!! We even enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night. We used our boat club membership from Florida to get a boat and we had a boat. The dock was perfect for us to load and unload the boat. The grocery store is just a short distance away. The beds were super super comfortable!!! The host provides everything and anything that you could possibly wish for in a home while you are away from home!! Plenty of charging stations! Something, the kids always forget to bring. Just awesome can’t wait to go back!!
