Staying at La Licina is like staying in an ancient Umbrian hamlet, with two separate and independent buildings divided by an alleyway with views towards the surrounding countryside. In the oldest of the two buildings, where the owners live, there is a small private chapel dating back to 1699.
The property is surrounded by four hectares of olive groves, as well as oak and hazel trees under which truffles grow.

Only two kilometers from La Licina is the city of Spoleto. Its very ancient history and the importance of its monuments, from both the early Middle Ages and the Renaissance, make it one of the main Umbrian touristic attractions.

There are two houses to rent.

La Ginestra has its own entrance from a secondary access road to the property. The main living space opens up to the terrace/garden and includes both seating and eating area with a kitchen created beneath an ample arch of bricks.
The two bedrooms, a twin and a double, are off a corridor have lovely views towards the Martani Mountains. One bathroom is fully equipped and includes a bathtub, the second bathroom with shower is en suite.
The apartment has central heating, free Wi-Fi and use of a laundry room.
The pool is surrounded by four hectares of olive groves and is located 150 meters from the houses.

just outside Spoleto, quiet and somewhat higher located apartment with many opportunities for walking and visiting interesting villages next to the famous hot spots. Very friendly owners who ensure a good welcome. A generous cool home with a lot of history. Also enough privacy

After a lot of thinking, we picked the Spoleto area as a base for a 6 days vacation in Umbria with our two children. It was a perfect selection. From that base we visited all the areas of Umbria easily. The second decision we had to take was to choose our private hub for those six nights, hotel or a house, in the country or in town. Since it's a lovely area, we desired to go for the country and didn't regret it. We had the privilege to meet Ludoviko and Francesca, a wonderful couple, who owns the place. Ludoviko welcomed us warmly on our arrival and showed us the lovely mansion and their own house. After an our or so, Francesca came back from Rome, where she works as a guide, and invited us for a drink before we a planned dinner at the nearby hotel La Macchia. We set at the lovely terrace, watching the sunset over the Umbrian hills, drinking wine and tasting mozzarella buffalo and home made olives. When we had to go to the restaurant, Ludovico recommended, he took us through the field, where his donkey lives. During our whole stay, whenever we saw them, they asked if we need anything or need any assistance. At the same time we enjoyed a full private with our own private yard. The house has two rooms, one with two singles and one with a king size bed. The master room had an ensuite bathroom and a second bathroom is located in the corridor. It has a small living room with a dinning table and a kitchen. We cooked our dinner for times, buying the groceries from an excellent, nearby, Conad supermarket. The house was spotlessly clean and not like other places we had in the past, it didn't have those uncomfortable smell. Our bed was very comfortable with a duvet and a clean, good smelling, duvet cover. It is a perfect place to stay and very convenient base to visit all of Umbria's attractions. Together with lovely landlords, it makes a perfect vacation. Thank you Ludovico and Francesca for having us.
