The vacation home of Arnauld was very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had a gas / electric stove. We did not miss anything for cooking. The outdoor area is equipped very well with comfortable armchairs and loungers. We could perfectly relax and enjoyed very much our vacation time on the Île d'Oléron. Ulrike & Frank

We found the house as it is described on the website. The local representative is very helpful. There is lots of room you can embroaden yourself, even the terasse is spacy! The equipment leaves no request -- especially the kitchen and the dishes are more you can use during your stay. The location is near to a not-crowed beach. As we had a car we could come around the whole island easily. But the opportunity of bicycle rent and the good cyclable paths and the bus system which covers also the other beaches give you good access to every spot. We bought our breakfast bread in the nearby boulangerie, but the other stuff in St. Pierre with its big grocery stores. The walks in the pine woods have been marvelous. All in all - a pretty place to stay!

This is definitely one of the best holiday homes we have rented in France - possibly the best! We'd visited the Ile d'Oleron before, while in the adjacent mainland area and knew it would be great for a trip in itself - and it was. The house is extremely well equipped and well looked-after. A brilliant range of kitchen equipment means you can easily cook a proper meal if you choose. The choice of seating and dining areas according to the weather, time of day and the light conditions was an exceptional and very welcome feature. We slept well, it was a lovely quiet place. The outside space, seating and BBQ we found to be great. Walking down to and along the beach was really lovely and we were lucky with the weather for September, lots of warm sunshine. We ate great seafood just a short walk away down near the beach. Many other beaches are within an easy cycle. The house is in a great position for cycling across and up and down almost all of the island. Being further along the island, this house in Chaucre was a great spot for reaching La Bree, St Denis, Boyardville and the interesting coastal areas on both sides of the island on our bikes as the cycle paths and back roads are absolutely brilliant. Using the back roads you can drive about making only minimal contact with the main road to reach the busier spots nearer the mainland such as La Grande Plage and St Trojan. You can stock up at the supermarkets in Saint Pierre quickly and easily. There is a local baker about half a km away, a branch of the one in Domino. We found the produce at the bakery in nearby Cheray to be excellent. We found this house to be exactly as described and shown on the photos: it's surprisingly rare to find a holiday rental so clearly described - what are some of the others wanting to hide, one asks oneself? For this house, everything is there for you to see and so you can make an informed choice to go La P'tite Cigale! We had a brilliant time and would not hesitate to return.
