Marfa, Texas
La Casita Azul is the perfect Marfa getaway. Our adobe bungalow is situated in a quiet spot on the West side of town. Sit on the front porch to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the trains go by or hang out in the backyard shade structure reading a book in the hammock. We also have the perfect outdoor spot for making smores and enjoying all the stars in the West Texas sky. We are a short walk to the Water Stop which serves brunch, lunch & dinner 7 days a week and about 20 minutes to walk in town (or a quick drive). Walk up to the cemetery to catch a spectacular sunset or take a jog or stroll along the path next to the train tracks (continues for about 4 miles west of town).
Spacious and comfortable, plus a kitchen with more than just appliances, made it feel like home. Convenient for sightseeing in Marfa, and walking in the neighborhood. Great sunset view just up the road!
We really enjoyed our stay at La Casita Azul. Melissa was a fantastic host - very informative and responsive. The home was described perfectly - very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The train is practically in the front yard, which we thought was fun - but if you are sensitive to noise, earplugs are provided. The backyard is huge, with a great fire pit and large table for outdoor dining. There are sticker burrs everywhere, so the provided indoor slippers were a nice surprise and greatly appreciated. This is a great spot for couples or a girl's weekend.
La Casita Azul was perfect for our weekend in Marfa. Take advantage of the backyard and do some amazing stargazing! We made friends with the doggie next door and had a comforable place to sleep!!
This was an awesome home that felt like Marfa. Great place to use as base for travel through the area.
This place had a full stocked kitchen, all you need is food to whip up a meal. I loved hanging out in one of the hammocks out back. I also enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking coffee on the cool mornings. Very close to the center of town and I chose to walk there a couple of mornings. We enjoyed the trains and walking down the dirt road near the cemetery. The beds were very comfortable. I definitely would stay here again.
It was such a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. Great communication and very clean. I definitely recommend a place for a visit to Marfa and I will be staying there again.
Wonderful little home. The train noise was not as big a problem as you'd think, but the complimentary earplugs area nice touch. Cozy, comfy, convenient!
The process was easy and the home was very comfortable. Could use a iron & ironing board but overall it was great!
Home owner was super helpful and property was great. Perfect amount of space and well supplied. We come out to West Texas at least once a year and fully anticipate staying here again!
The Casita Azul was perfect for a weekend stay for a 50th class reunion! My friend and I each had our own room. Our beds were very comfortable!
The check-in process was a breeze and we absolutely loved the inside living spaces, especially the living room. The kitchen was well-appointed with great supplies for coffee and cooking. Our view of the sunset from the property was top notch. Plus, the property was a wonderful, short distance from everything in town, with a yummy attraction right around the corner. Simply be aware that the city may need to turn off water supply in the property’s area from time to time which may lead to having no water at the property. Also, the cute doggies next door can easily be shooed away - we are not much of dog people- but will likely leave poopy droppings in the backyard. Through it all, the property manager was highly responsive.
