House was beautiful and well located. Great set up inside and out for groups with kids. Property manager was very responsive!
This was one of the most stunning homes I’ve stayed in and just the most well designed and beautiful properties I’ve stayed at in Marfa. It was the perfect stay for a weekend girls trip and had so much space, enough bathrooms and floor length mirrors and tons of seating. I’m a frequenter to Marfa and we definitely will be staying here next time we have a large group!
We rented Dixon House as we were in Marfa for our daughters wedding. The home was just wonderful. Plenty of room for all family members. Kitchen fully stocked with dishes and cookware. Clean bedrooms and roomy bathrooms. Our experience was top notch and would recommend to others with full faith yours will be as well.
We stayed here for Spring Break with a large group (2 families - 4 adults, 7 kids). This house was even better than it looked in pictures! Beds were cozy, bathrooms were updated and stocked with products (shampoo, conditioner, hand wash) and kitchen had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again if I was coming to Marfa with a big group.
We had a great time staying at the Dickson House for a girls trip. The house is roomy and easily accommodated 13 of us. The kitchen was great for the meals we cooked in and the house is an easy walk to the historic downtown part of Marfa. Lovely place to hang out!
We love Marfa and have been taking our kids yearly since they were little. We love the drive out, big stars, and deep breaths. The Dickson House was beautiful, had everything we could possibly want, and provided space and comfort in a nurturing way. We will be back to the Dickson House. Thank you!
Having wanted to visit West Texas for many years now I considered staying at a couple of different places but with 7 of us in the party that didn’t seem reasonable. Then when I looked up the various destinations and realized how close they were to Marfa, I crossed my fingers when checking VRBO for a place big enough to house all of us and found the Dickson House. An old farm house updated with a modern interior it was very roomy and comfortable. We will definitely recommend to others and hope to return ourselves some day!
Christmas break vacation with adult children and family. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The location was perfect for all the adventures we had planned. One day at Big Bend, one day at Chihuahuan Desert Nature and Botanical Gardens, and one day at Fort Davis/McDonald Observatory. Instagrammable moments were also important - we went to the Prada store, shopping downtown Marfa and Alpine, and Marfa Burritos. Everyone had their own space. The big table in the dining room was perfect for games and puzzles. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment to feed the whole group. Heard from kids, This place is awesome! The firepit and barbeque pit were also used on our trip. We loved everything.
This is the second time we've rented this house, it's great for a big group. Plenty of outdoor space to gather.
House had all amenities and supplies you would want and more. Large and comfortable for a large group. Property management was responsive and helpful. Recommended.
Very nice place to stay. Once we got inside everything was great. Kathryn was very helpful and thoughtful agent.
