Krabby Patty – Oceanfront Family Fun

Beautiful views! Beautiful home! We enjoyed being right on the beach and watching the tide roll in daily. We walked on the beach in the mornings and evenings, and despite the rain, we were in the ocean everyday at some point!

We enjoyed our stay at The krabby patty. The location and view was amazing. The house us a lot of steps is the only down side. Big house and plenty of room. We would recommend it to others.

There are many, many things in the house that need attention. It COULD be a lovely place to stay. The new deck furniture is lovely(but old broken pieces left there), floors are relatively new. Not three bathrooms as one shower(upstairs bath) was totally inoperable. Most of the newer blinds were good but some installed backward and inoperable, old ones dirty. Pulled a curtain open, and it just came right off the rod. No finial at the end. Weekly housekeeping does their job but the place needs a thorough cleaning. Door edges and frames really dirty. Hand rails on stairs combination of bad paint job and dirt, sticky. Toilet seats were ridiculous, literally worn out. Shower door in laundry bath all puttied up. Hall bath good. Many furniture drawers need new glides installed-drop down when you open them. Ceiling fan in twin bedroom could not be adjusted, it was either off or blow you out of the room. The door could not be closed there unless you moved one bed to the middle of the room. It was scarred up from it being forced, bed spread had holes from being rubbed by door against bed frame. Two operable TV's. Ice maker leaked water down the back of the frig and puddled in the drawer at the bottom soaking your fruit and veggies. Big pantry in the kitchen. Usable pots, pans and dishes. Pillows and blankets usable, no extras if anybody was cold. Most furniture was so-so. Would rather pay more for a clean place. Won't book this place again.

The views from the top deck are spectacular, great property. Easy to get to beach although the new walkway had raised nails that need maintenance to not hurt childrens feet. Outdoor shower was great! HVAC needed maintenance while we were there but the service company was extremely prompt to fix. TV's are dated so gaming systems can't be hooked up with HDMI cables. Appliances including washer and dryer worked great. The couches are tired and worn. An average property, I probably would not rent again unless updated.

We have stayed on Topsail Island in the past, and have had wonderful experiences with the homes we've rented. The Krabby Patty was a real disappointment. The home has significant deferred maintenance. We had to repair blinds that would not close, re-install closet rods that had been pulled out of the wall and unplug the bathtub drain. The railings on the stairs coming up from the driveway were loose and wobbly. The overall cleaning was poor, and the kitchen equipment is in poor condition (the coffee maker leaked all over the counter, the pots and pans are worthless) and many of the dishes and most of the silverware had been put away dirty. We had to re-wash dishes and silverware before we could use them. I am a professional Property Manager, and I understand that the manager can only do what the owner is willing to pay for, but in my opinion, both manager and owner are failing their customers with this property.
