This beautiful house is one of the premier properties in 29 Palms, alone on a hill surrounded by 10 boulder-strewn acres. A flowing villa with a chef's kitchen, king and queen comfy beds, oversized rain shower, full coffee station (coffee provided), lots of great spaces to relax inside and out, pond and waterfall, abundant wildlife and monumental views in every direction. A five-person hot tub with an infinity view is a great way to watch the sunset or sunrise or the stars at night.

Five minutes to groceries and restaurants, ten minutes to Joshua Tree National Park. Easy self check-in, excellent WiFi from Starlink, Level One car charging.

The house has a wide-open plan, with saltillo tiles throughout, high ceilings, and lots of windows, giving the house a very airy feeling and a connection to the outside. Great views from every room. Two large private bedrooms. Spacious custom-tiled rain shower. There are two living rooms, which can be separated by a large barn door, allowing the one with two sofas to be used as a private bedroom. The patio has comfortable outdoor furniture and great views. The oasis on the other side of the house surrounds a On the other side of the house is an oasis with a pond with a waterfall that attracts many birds and animals.

The entire house and patio is yours. The ten acres of grounds and its trails are yours to wander freely. You have a private driveway. Across our road are 40+ acres of unfenced high ground for stargazing and sunsets.

There is a guesthouse on the property that we rent out to guests, but you are unlikely to see them. Also, be aware that the washer and dryer on the patio may be used by our cleaning crew; they are discreet but you may see them.

If you need anything -- advice, help, etc. -- I'm here to help. Otherwise my plan is to stay out of your hair and let you enjoy your time undisturbed.

The house sits alone atop a hill on 10 private acres, with an additional 50 acres of undeveloped land around it, overlooking 29 Palms and the valleys and mountains around it. At the bottom of the hill is a grocery store; less than five minutes away is downtown and its many restaurants and bars. About ten minutes away is the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park (the good entrance, not the clogged one in Joshua Tree village). Star gazing is stunning here, and there's lots of wildlife that gathers around the waterfall and pond.

There is public transportation, but it is inconvenient and probably impossible in hot weather. Realistically, you need a car.

We love pets, and you're welcome to bring them along, but that comes with a few caveats. Please don't let them on the beds, it makes cleaning the linens so much harder. And please please clean up after them. Thanks.

Impeccable stay!! We had such a wonderful time. Antony’s instruction manual was a delight to read and full of helpful info. The hot tub was fantastic; the beds were incredibly comfortable; and the views were untouchable. Truly cannot say enough good things about the home or Antony as a host. Highly recommend!

Antony's home was great! It had everything we needed for our short stay. A friend flew in from the East Coast, never having been to Joshua Tree and seeing sunrise relaxing in the hot tub with a view of the Twenty-Nine Palms Valley with the mountains in the background was stunning. Inside, the house made you feel right at home. Beautiful kitchen and dining area, very comfortable bed in the master and the best coffee bar I've seen at any rental. If you're looking to do some serious stargazing, I would recommend taking the short drive into the park where there is less ambient light. Antony has a great visitors giude book in the den that is very thorough and helpful. Thanks for making our stay memorable!

It's actually hard to encapsulate all of the positive aspects of this house and stay in 29 Palms. The house itself was perfect for me as it had everything I needed; kitchen supplies, working tvs, plenty of seating outside both on the patio as well as the front yard. It's location is close to town yet you quietly sit on the top of hill and have plenty of private space. There was a couple staying in the guest house while I was there, but I literally only saw them pull into the driveway in the evenings. For me, the bonus was the proximity to Joshua Tree National Park and the owls that came to visit the small pond in the front yard each morning and evening. The bed was super comfortable and I got great nights of sleep and I just had so much space within the house. I give this house and the host the highest recommendation possible. Everything was such a positive experience from booking to check out.

Lots of room to hang out and a nice kitchen and bathroom. You will need to offroad up an incline to get to the driveway, so just be careful on the last part of the road.

House was as described - spacious, comfortable, private, and well-equipped. The location was great -- not far from town/JT entrance and on a hill with great views. Check in was easy and Anthony was quick to communicate. The backyard walking trails were a nice touch. We used the hot tub both nights -- on the first night it worked well and on the second night we had trouble getting the temperature to go up (not sure what we were doing wrong). Overall we recommend the place for groups.

Health & safety: After showering, there was a strong odor of natural gas around the water heater and lingering in one bedroom. The water heater is in the center of the house. I called Antonin with our concerns and he said that he’s had the water heater checked several times, and there was no reason for concern. If one chooses to live with the odor of natural gas inside their home, so be it, but I don’t want to rent a house with that smell and the unknown risk that comes with it.Noise: High winds are a fact of life in the desert, and the wind was constant while we were there. When the wind exceeded about 20 mph the HVAC ducting transmitted a clanging (something was apparently loose) that was loudest in the kitchen and the master BR. We were unable to use the master BR because of the incessant noise from the ductwork. Cleanliness: Our standards for cleanliness are relaxed when we rent a dog-friendly house. Nevertheless, this place needs a deep cleaning, and the exterior of the house was littered with junk. Most offensive was the smell of the kitchen. We couldn’t pinpoint the source (the butcher block counter tops?), but the main kitchen/dining area was foul smelling, like an unclean deli. This was the first time we left a VRBO early. We were booked for three nights, and we left after two.

This property is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views and unbeatable access to Joshua Tree National Park. The location is perfect—not only for exploring the park but also for enjoying the great restaurants in the surrounding area. Everything about our stay was fantastic, and we’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and convenient getaway. Our only regret is that we didn’t have time to hop in the Jacuzzi! But it looked clean and warm.

We stayed at Antony's property for four nights and loved everything about it. It's up on a hill away from other people while close to everything we wanted to do. Close to Joshua Tree Nat'l Park, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked. It's really beautiful inside and the views outside are awesome. The hot tub was installed while we were there but we didn't have a chance to try it though I can envision sitting it in, sipping on a glass of wine and looking at the stars and the valley below. Antony is definitely a super host. So responsive and easy to work with. If we are ever in that area again, there's no need for us to search for a property to stay at. We will definitely stay here again!
