Highly highly recommend! Sparkling clean and comfy beds! Kitchen well equipped! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Stayed Jul 17, 2023Set below the snow capped mountains, birds and sheep to watch with a cuppa, the warmth of the straw bale home, this home is a awesome base for a kaikoura stay. Be sure to ask Hamish to cook you a smoked lamb shank dinner and a fish curry…beautiful food. We hiked the headland and the beach with the seals, did a whale watch tour, drove to hamner springs, highly recommend this lovely stay, the double day bed is the best seat in the house. Thank you for sharing your house built with such passion Hamish.

Stayed Jun 9, 2023A gorgeous property that made our holiday so special. It was more than enough room for our 2 families to come together, and enjoy hanging out in the sun drenched comfortable lounge and cool together in the well equipped and laid out kitchen, and dine together. The house is finished in high quality furnishings and so beautifully considered. The beds were a dream! The views from the house up over the mountains felt like a fairy tale. I couldn’t recommend this place more!
