Stayed Apr 28, 2022The land and this home and the way it is curated is such a gift! It was perfect for our small holistic retreat. Everyone felt free and at ease to really open up and enjoy every aspect of the retreat. The Only lack of accommodations were the locked closets (except for one). No one could really unpack their bags fully. Apart from that the home is such a haven for presence and connection. Grateful!!

Stayed Mar 20, 2022It was a great stay and I appreciated very much the fast communication and organization with Caroline. I find the choosing of the dates very confusing. I wanted and thought I clicked 17-21 but ended up with completely other dates and so I saw that too late. Also the insurance of property damage that comes extra should be already in the price. It’s enough expensive as it is. A hot tub outside would have crowned the stay. Overall we enjoyed it very much- thank you!

Stayed Dec 31, 2019One of the main reasons why we got this house was for its fire pit. So we get there i texted caroline we were there and she welcomes us and tells me she left some fresh fruits for us. Then once we go outside i look for the fire pit i couldnt find it. I texted her even thow it showed she had read the text she didnt reply i waited half hour then once i called her she said she was driving she couldnt text then i asked her where the fire pit was. She said she hasnt been to the house for 3 weeks so she doesnt know what happens to it even those an hour ago she was telling me she left us fruits. The property was very dirty and spider web all over the house. For 2 minutes i walked around the house without shoes and under my white socks was black. No blankets no towels. Last day of stay texted her for late check out and she said i cant since the cleaners will show up at 11:00 to clean the house because the house was booked and guests were suppose to come. I checked the house calander the house was available and not booked. We were about to leave someone told showed up i asked her if she was caroline she said no she was with the cleaning team and she came to clean the house which was a lie she was caroline because i had talked to her on the phone and she sounded like the same person i talked on the phone with plus she kept asking questions how many guesnts we were and this and that and i dont think the cleaner would ask or care about stuff like that. Overall dirty and we had the worst experince.

Stayed Dec 26, 2019We had a great post Christmas stay at Desert.Om! Caroline is lovely and very easy to communicate with. The house was very spacious for our family of 6 with 4 being young adults! The location is great, walking to downtown Joshua Tree and just a short drive into the park. We didn't really access the outdoor area as we had a full covering of snow and the weather was much colder than usual in JT. The heat in the house worked great. It would have been nice to have a few comfy throw blankets in the living area and to be able to use the fireplace during our stay. We couldn't figure out how to operate the TV which we didn't really need, except for the Seahawks game and we were able to connect our laptop to it just to watch the game. There were very few bath towels provided for 6 of us (no hand towels or facecloths and only one kitchen towel). Having a few extras would be a nice addition. Also a few more flat kitchen spatulas for flipping pancakes and eggs would be great! We would love to come back again when the weather is warmer and there is full access to all of the trails in the park and more opportunity for climbing the rocks!

Stayed Oct 28, 2018The house is spacious and clean. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us. The desert light is so peaceful, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. The area outside the back door goes on forever, filled with native plants. We saw a number of coyotes. A real thrill. We also saw jackrabbits and a sole hummingbird. What was missing is kitchen ware. We cooked all our meals at home. This could easily be remedied with an extra cutting board,.a few saucepans with lids, a broiler pan and a few more cooking spoons. We bought one saucepan and left it in the kitchen. Otherwise the kitchen was easy to cook in. The double oven is great. The only other request is for more reading lamps. We are all readers and couldn't find adequate light to read by. Again, this could be easily remedied with a few floor lamps. The living area is huge and provided plenty of space for us all to read. The bottom line is that we had a fantastic 10 nights at this house. The bedrooms were comfortable, plenty of bedding and towels. We highly recommend staying here! Claire Rubin

Stayed Mar 29, 2018We just stayed at Desert Ohm for spring break. Beautiful well kept home that blended in to the beautiful desert surroundings! My husband and I went with our 3 college age sons. Plenty of room for all of us. Easy to get to the park; we hiked all 3 days and then came back to the house to relax. Very peaceful! Thanks Caroline!

Stayed Feb 9, 2018I went with a group of 8 friends including myself and we could not have had a more beautiful weekend. From the house to the backyard, it was the perfect getaway. There was so much space for everyone to be comfortable. The outdoor fire pit is awesome because it’s an actual pit in the ground! We were able to explore the desert with the comfort of a home nearby. Caroline is the sweetest and so beyond accommodating. We had the most memorable weekend that will be cherished forever. Thank you Caroline and Desert Om!!! Xoxo

Stayed Jan 26, 2018We enjoyed our stay at Desert Om! The house was perfect for our group. Open concept allowed up to cook in the kitchen while still conversing in the living room. Rooms were spacious & beds were comfortable. The breakfast nook was a light & comfy place to enjoy our meals together. The backyard was beautiful & quiet! The fire pit was nice on cold nights to sit under the stars. Close to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance. Was convenient to drive in & out the park for the day. Overall enjoyed our stay & very grateful for a beautiful house to stay in. Thank you!
