Stayed Sep 17, 2025What an amazing and peaceful place to get away from the chaos of LA. Had everything we needed to cook a healthy meal and the space is very well laid out. Love the fire pit outside and the openness of the space, both inside and out. I will definitely return to this location next time I need to breakaway.

Stayed May 22, 2026The property was nice and close to the park and surrounding attractions. It was easy to drive in from Ontario Airport. The property was difficult to locate because of hard to read/find house numbers at dusk. I would stay again if in the area.

Stayed May 28, 2026Loved this property, and I hope to stay there again. It was just as pictured, very clean and the furnishings were lovely. There was a new lock on the front door, and my message to the owners was answered instantly, which we appreciated. Beds, bedding, towels were all quite nice. The outdoor seating area and firepit were so enjoyable. It was very quiet there, but a short walk took us to restaurants on the main street through town. We loved driving through Joshua Tree park which was very nearby. It was a great stay in every aspect.

Stayed May 4, 2026Our party of three stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. While the property initially appeared spacious and beautiful, the longer we were there, the more problems we saw. Bedrooms: One twin bed frame collapsed onto my friend’s ankles because the legs were not secured in their locks. Two out of three beds had worn, heavily pilled flannel sheets. There was hardly any drawers and only two hangers in each closet, forcing us to live out of luggage. The pillows were flat, and at checkout, we discovered prominent sweat stains on them.Bathroom: The door does not lock, and the soap dispenser was broken. Only two face towels were provided for three guests. The sink basin is separating from the wall, causing items to slide off. Alarmingly, the shower drain functions poorly; given the local septic system, the slow drainage raised serious hygiene concerns regarding standing water.Privacy is severely compromised. In the living room two separate rods were used instead of one long rod for the window. The curtains weren’t wide enough, which created a center gap that the hosts improperly attempted to remedy with a makeshift third sheer panel. ALL doors—including the front door and the bathroom—have frosted glass panels, which fails to provide adequate visual privacy.Misc.: The provided coffee, sugar, and creamer were stale and kept in soiled containers. We also noted peeling paint, cold concrete flooring, and unmaintained landscaping. Though manageable for a brief trip, we will not return.

Stayed May 7, 2026This property is perfectly located. It is close to Joshua Tree National Park. There are many restaurants (both breakfast and dinner) nearby. All rooms were well appointed, clean and amply supplied. The overall vibe was simple, cozy and pleasant. A home away from home!

Stayed Mar 24, 2026Kitchen was equipped with basic items, which was fine for us, as we did not do any cooking. Fresh ground coffee and coffee maker were great for getting the mornings started. There was a cooler and large ice pack, which were perfect for storing items while we hiked! Propane fire pit and furniture were comfortable in the cooler evenings. Enjoyed dinner at 2 places within walking distance- Saloon and Sky High Pie. We stayed Tuesday- Friday; there may have been other options open on the weekends. Yucca Valley has an Aldi and Walmart for groceries. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars and shops in Yucca Valley.

Stayed Mar 9, 2026Great location for a Joshua Tree base camp. All was great. It is always nice to have coffee available so an extra trip to the grocery store would not be needed. All and all.... awesome place and hosts.

Stayed Dec 24, 2025Five miles to the west entrance of Joshua Tree national park. Near to fast food places. Sunrise from the premises is beautiful. Basic pans and pots, cooking oil and some spices are there. Wish there were some aluminum foil or parchment paper or something would have helped.

Stayed Oct 3, 2025Fully equipped kitchen. Nice little home. Only complaints are the shower is concrete wall and floor, but they only have a like maybe 14”x14” square little showermat to use to prevent slipping. Get a full size one please. Also upon arriving GPS wrongfully directed us to turn early (like 30ft before Desert Air Rd), onto a dirt trail going to the side of the house, it’s not paved, it’s fully off road, confused the living heck out of us and caused my fiancé to scrape a little bit of his front fender of his sedan trying to find where to go before we stopped and turned around. It took us like 6-7 mins of walking and driving around the block to figure out where the drive way actually is. So just a warning to people to go all the way up to dessert air rd and then turn left, don’t follow maps/gps as they are incorrect.

Stayed Apr 10, 2025My husband and I stayed there overnight before hiking in Joshua Tree. It's very conveniently located! Only downsides are that (1) the AC unit is extremely loud (although worked well), (2) the bedroom ceiling fan was not fixed securely to the ceiling, and (3) check-in and check-out instructions for the key pad were incorrect. Please note that to check-in, you just enter the code and press the unlock botton (there is no lever to twist), and to checkout you just press the lock button (you don't enter the code and again there is no lever to twist).
