Island Jewel in Old Harbor

Summary:

Charming, comfortable, and exceptionally convenient, Island Jewel is a beautifully updated historic cottage located on High Street at the edge of Old Harbor. This classic Block Island home combines timeless island character with thoughtful modern updates, all within easy walking distance of the ferry, restaurants, shops, and nearby beaches. Its central location makes it easy to enjoy town without relying on a car for every outing.



Inside the main house, bright and welcoming living spaces provide plenty of room to gather and relax. The well-equipped kitchen and dining area make meals at home easy, while the comfortable living room offers a relaxing place to unwind after a day exploring the island. Air conditioning provides added comfort throughout the summer season.



The main house features three bedrooms, including two with queen beds and one with two twin beds, along with one full bathroom and one half bath. A newly added separate outbuilding provides even more flexibility, with an additional bedroom, its own living space, and a washer and dryer. This extra space is especially convenient for families or groups traveling together, giving guests the opportunity to spread out and enjoy a little additional privacy while remaining close to the main house.



Outdoor living is another highlight of Island Jewel. Enjoy morning coffee on the charming front porch, relax in the spacious yard, or gather for an outdoor meal on the deck with a gas grill and dining area. A private outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach.



Linens, bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, and beach basics are provided, making it easy to pack light and settle in upon arrival.



With its walk-to-town location, updated interiors, flexible additional living space, and inviting outdoor areas, Island Jewel offers a wonderful combination of classic Block Island charm and the modern conveniences families and groups appreciate.



The Space:

The first floor has one bedroom, and living space. The kitchen opens out to the back deck with a table and grill. There is also a half bath off the kitchen. The second floor has 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The secondary building has a bedroom, additional living space. (This is currently under construction. Photos will be added soon.)



Guest Access:

The driveway is shared with the neighboring house, but otherwise the property is completely private and guests have full access with the exception of the basement.



The Neighborhood:

This house is very close to town at the end of High St, close to the statue of Rebecca.



Getting Around:

You can easily walk to the ferry, beach, most restaurants and other attractions. A car is not necessary, but there is room for one car.



Other Things to Note:

All linens, bath towels, and toiletry basics are provided. There are beach chairs and towels available for the number of people that the unit accommodates.

Check in is a remote process, but the host is always close by and available if needed.
