Beautiful little cottage on the ocean. It was perfect for us and we will definitely be back . Would recommend!!!

We had a great time here. Very clean. Nicely furnished. The downstairs rooms was great. We really enjoyed our time here.

This was an older home, but had very comfortable beds, a fully stocked kitchen, and terrific water pressure! The outside enclosed shower was great! The back porch was nice for enjoying morning coffee. The location was good and the neighbors were quiet. We enjoyed our stay!

The location of this beach house was great, but the overall condition left much to be desired. The home shows noticeable signs of age, which likely contributes to some of the issues encountered. There was a persistent musty smell throughout, and the upstairs bathroom had an unpleasant odor. While the downstairs had cold air, it remained very humid, affecting overall comfort.Additionally, the listing photos do not fully reflect the home's current state. One notable example is the gaming table, which appears much larger in the pictures than it actually is.I appreciated the host reaching out on the day of check-in to ask about cleanliness, but after reporting a low rating, I was asked if I’d be open to a phone call to discuss the issues. Unfortunately, that call never came, leaving these concerns unaddressed.With proper maintenance and more accurate listing details, this rental could offer a much better experience. As it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it without improvements.

This is our second stay @ My Three Buoys. It's definally a family favorite. A short walk to the beach or to grab coffee in the morning @ Ruby's. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch, were able to catch up with the next door neighbors, and soak in the slow pace of Oak Island (prior to the busy season). We truly love this little gem of a house, and can't wait to return.

Well the whole house is cozy and decorated with a beach theme. The kitchen is well supplied and has a dishwasher. My favorite place was the large screened porch that had a wrap around banquet and trees give the impression of being in a treehouse, from the front and down the side It’s walking distance to the pier and beach. Is all on one level and has a walk-in shower. Also no pets allowed. You can’t go wrong with My Three Bouys ??

This was my second time here at Myers Moorings, and it didn't disappoint this year either! You can't get any closer to the ocean, it's perfect for two or 3 couples, a small family or in my case an old friend for half the trip and golf with the guys the second half. You will find bigger, newer, homes but the value of this BEACHFRONT house is tough to beat. Highly recommend, especially in the fall!

This is our second stay at this house. We love the location. It is not fancy and we don't want fancy. We love the house too. We are planning on staying next year too. Yes it needs some TLC but it is perfect for us.

This house is perfect, if you dont like climbing alot of steps. It has everything you need. Very quiet neighborhood. Short walk to beach and Oak Island Pier. I would stay here again.

We loved how close it was to the beach and the pier. The neighborhood was really quiet and we felt safe. The decor was pleasing. Beds were really comfortable.

This little oceanfront cottage is very well stocked with everything you need. ❤️ My 18yr old loved having her own space downstairs with microwave and mini fridge. The walk to beach is short and we loved the sitting area half way for nice sunsets. The porch was amazing! Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven!

Short walk to beach. Open floorplan felt spacious for 5 adults and 2 children. Clean. Walking distance to several shops and restaurants was a nice bonus!

House was very nice but could use some updates. The location is wonderful. I found so many great shells. I would rent this house again we just need a bigger living area.

This house has a picturesque image. A cozy, well decorated, house very near the ocean, plenty of hot water, great location, and awesome outdoor shower and yard. Once you step inside you'll be brought back to the 1970's something charm, along with the never ending wafting odor of mildew. This mildew smell can only be tolerated if you open the side door and whatever windows you can manage to get open. The one plug-in odor eliminator could not mask this. Imagine coming in on Mother's Day, to find bug excrement in the main bedroom bed, the comforters, shams, couches, and rug appear to have had (what we could only imagine was) a wet dirty dog having had rolled joyfully across all of them. After cleaning for a day and a half and keeping the door and a few windows open it was now fit for the somewhat rugged beach stay we'd been expecting. This house is in need of many small home improvement projects and a deeper cleaning that the coming fully booked season would in no way accommodate. We reached out to Vacasa multiple times; the people who texted back were all friendly and promised to make things right and get back to us real soon. Those things did not happen. One representative called midweek, was short, and promised to call back after reaching the owners, no word back. The fixes made on our trip were done so by us. Before renting, I highly suggest reading deeper into all the reviews. Some of our issues, were issues in the past, that both Vacasa, as well as the owners, have been made aware of, without improvements having been made. If you just need a roof over your head, with close proximity to the beach and pier, this may be for you. ((Sent to Vacasa: After reaching out to Vacasa four times, nothing was ever resolved. The following issues were brought to their attention: The house smelled strongly of mildew the entire time. The main bed had bug excrement and hair it in. Leaving us having to wash all the bedding before it could be used. Two of the beds had comforters and shams that were dirty brown instead of white. The three couches and most rugs were stained and very dirty, as well. The firepit did not work at all. There were used cigar butts on the porch ground. The more minor issues with house: The locking mechanism on the front glass door closer is broken/missing. One dining room window was cracked. Many mini blinds not working/missing wands. Utensil drawer had old food and such in it, had to wash all utensils before usable. Many windows do not open. Outdoor plug-in lights barely work. Bugs in hall bathroom. Mildew was very strong in bathroom. We left this place in much better shape than when we arrived.))

Great property. Great location. Loved our stay and would do it again.
