Nice property

The location was good. Having a boat house was great. The house itself is big. But the wow factor is lacking. The host is responsive- nothing against him. He seemed receptive to my comments. The cleaners need to step up their game. Lots of dusty surfaces, and things that were overlooked like the refrigerator. The kitchen is an unorganized mess, pots and pans were worn out, but was told they were just replaced. So maybe we didn't look in the right spot for new ones. We always travel with a few kitchen items for this reason. The house is dated and could use some TLC as a rental. But it's also for sale, so I'm sure they don't want to put money into it. The parking situation for a house that sleeps so many is definitely lacking max 4 spots. But that seems to be the trend for Indian Lake. It was stated there was extra parking at the end of the street, but when you go down there, there is a sign posted no parking . The other backup option listed was the state park - specifically for truck and boat trailer. There is no trailer parking spots at the state park visitor parking. You would have to park sideways and take up multiple spots. We had a truck and boat trailer and suv with jet skis. We used Chippewa boat ramp and moved them daily instead. Never does the house state to be handicap friendly* but just noting that there are stairs at every entrance and the main level bathroom shower has glass doors that also make it hard to access for some. Just something to note.

Large rooms for family gatherings. Kitchen made for multiple cooks without crowding. Gas stove a plus!

We book the house in April. The house needs a deep cleaning. Especially the Kitchen. The evenings were cool and there were not enough extra blankets. The comforters are for summer weather. The water smelled and was really rusty. Unpon arrival the water in the kitchen sink dribbled out of the faucet and no water came out of the downstairs faucet. Contacted owner and he promply sent someone to look at the problem. The faucet screens were clogged and never really worked well after the service man left. We had a hard time regulating the Airconditioning during the day and the last night of our stay we needed Heat because it was going down into the low 40's. The thermostate failed and we had no heat. No extra blankets.I would not recommend staying at this house. Very outdated and needs alot of TLC.

Accommodations were great, a lot of room on 3 levels. Only suggestion would be to bring your own water.

Love it here. Twin bedframe in bottom room - ends stick out farther than mattress - possible hazard.

We were all very happy with this great lake house. Communication with the host was outstanding. Wonderful place, we’re coming back next year!

We had so many memorable times in this beautiful lakeview property and spacious home. The bedrooms and living spaces met all of our needs. We were in the house more than anticipated because of daily thunder storms, but had lots to do. Cooking for a group of 9 was challenging with the kitchen amenities provided (i.e. pans/cooking sheets are spent and need replacing, no kitchen scissors, BBQ brush had no bristles, only 1 sponge with a scrubber provided which was used to clean the BBQ grates, only 3 steak knives – need a set of 8 for a house this size, paper towels not provided). The basement bathroom toilet wobbles, but still works. The backyard dock area was stinky b/c of a few dead fish, but the rest of the yard was comfortable and big enough for our group. Working with John was great. He was very responsive, especially when the power went out at midnight Saturday, Ohio time! Check-in/out instructions were easy to follow. Overall we had great family time!

Met all our needs!

We had so much fun. Its a little tight at the dock so only 4 could fish at one time. The boat lift doesn't work and with no ladder makes it hard for swimming. The house is beautiful and our host was great. No fuss with check in. Neighbors were very kind to us. You cannot park at the dead end or you will get towed. The Neighbors informed us. The parking at the house would accommodate 5 cars. One maybe 2 on the side. We made family memories here that are priceless. We would rent this house again.

We enjoyed our stay, the house was plenty big enough for our group of people, there were a few things that were less than par, but they were not major, they can be easily taken care of. We would stay there again. John if you email me I can tell you the things that can be fixed.

Nice place, very clean. Sone updates are needed, new pots and pans, the deck. But overall it's a nice place with alot of space. Neighbors are nice except 1. They don't like renters and said things multiple times to us even though she said we were being respectful. Made it uncomfortable for the kids to be outside. That being said, we would stay again

We have struggled with a location to host dinner for about 20 since passing of grandparents. Thankful to have found a place big enough for our overnight guests that allowed our day guests to visit without stress of sleeps limits. We had plenty of room to set up folding tables inside for both dinner and games. Looking forward to next year

The groom, groomsmen, grandma of the groom and parents of the groom stayed in your spacious vacation home for a wedding in Bellefountaine. The location and space worked beautifully!
