Beautiful get-a-way for our family gathering. Wonderful open floor plan for cooking and visiting. LOVE the view.
The house is great the location is awesome the only issue we had was the beds were super firm. We loved everything else and are planning to head back next year.
We were treated to fall color on full display and a fabulous snow storm all in the same weekend. What fun! Internet was down for the duration, which is apparently not all that unusual, so be prepared to enjoy some unplugged time if you go. Didn’t set us back a bit! Also...no cell coverage...Only issue was we ran out of fire starters (there were only 1 and a half on hand). However, we were able to pick a few up at the mountaineering shop next to the Mazama Store to help us stay warm. Great stay. Will be back again.
Very nice, clean, well organized, well stocked house. Owner friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rock N River. The home is incredibly beautiful, with nearly every convenience provided. The views out the prow windows were breathtaking. It would have been nice if the river was flowing in front of the property, but mother nature had other ideas. We loved the easy-to-use fireplace and took liberal use of it. The kitchen was well provisioned and allowed us to have some satisfying meals waiting for us when we returned from a day of sight seeing. Make sure you visit the Mazama store, it is an oasis in a desert of shopping. We are hoping to be back soon.
If you are looking for a place to stay while exploring North Cascades National Park, look no further. This beautiful home is conveniently located near the park, in a tranquil setting. Waking up each morning with the view of the mountain and creek from the floor to ceiling windows was very peaceful after a day of hiking. The mountain and creek were closer than we thought and nice to walk out to in the evening for some star gazing. The home itself is very beautiful, clean, and comfortable - with tons of space and comfortable beds. This was our favorite stay in Washington. Linda and Jim are awesome and flexible to work with. They are so pleasant and quick to respond to our many e-mails and helped us get through some glitches with the payment process through VRBO (more like user error). Thank you Linda and Tom for sharing your home with us. We will be telling all our friends of the great accommodations we had in Mazama, WA.
Our family stayed at Rock 'n River for four late summer nights and loved the place. We arrived our first night after dark and were awed at the setting come morning - the river is right off the lovely back stone patio and we spent each morning walking along the river with our coffee, soaking up the pristine mountain views and the soothing sound of the rushing river. The house was well stocked, and the kitchen in particular was well equipped for our breakfasts and dinners. Everything was clean and ready for our visit. The rooms are actually much larger than they appear in the photos on-line. Overall we were very satisfied and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and quite retreat among nature's beauty.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Mazama! This home has great amenities and is very well stocked with kitchen items, spices, and more! Linda and Tom are great people to work with and know all the top places to visit while in the area. Highly recommend staying at this home, if you have 4 or more people in your group.
We had a delightful stay at RocknRiver with our dog. The house was bigger than it appears in the pictures. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Tom and Linda were excellent hosts, always available to give advice about restaurants and activities, but also respecting our privacy. We fell in love with Mazama. We will definitely be back.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable for our family of five, pluse our dog. The kitchen was well equipped, and the setting was gorgeous- perfect for launching our snow vacation. Loved the fireplace and the heated floors! The owners were very responsive, friendly, and quick to answer questions (we had questions about the heat thermostat).
My family just returned from a long weekend in the cabin in Mazama. It was clean, comfortable, spacious, and very well stocked with everything we needed. Two families could comfortably share the cabin. The view out to the river is gorgeous and the property was quiet and peaceful. Fall is a great time to visit the Methow. We brought our mountain bikes and got in a few rides. The fall colors are beautiful and there was a dusting of snow the morning we left.
