WE GREATLY Enjoyed our stay here. We will be coming back to stay here again. The artwork is beautiful and displayed throughout. Plenty of room. Thank you for your kindness and easy communication. As for the town-Jim Thorpe is a cool town Thursday thru Sunday. SO many places are closed Monday -Wednesday. We enjoyed biking, sightseeing, shopping and dining in town.
Amazing space, probably one of the most unique places we have ever stayed - loved the environment and the space, the bathroom was incredible.
Above an art gallery. Beautiful artworks displayed in apartment. Very spacious and comfortable.
Lovely, unique loft with plenty of character. It was hard to get my kids to leave because they just wanted to enjoy the loft. We didn’t mind it since it gave us a chance “adult” around town : )
Our trip to Jim Thorpe was accented by this amazing property. We can't wait to come back and bring the kids. The Loft is perfectly appointed and a really cool setting to come home to after enjoying the culture, food, and activities the town has to offer. Cafe Arielle, just downstairs, has really good food and service. Don't miss the museum downstairs too!
Joan and Victor have a beautiful home in Jim Thorpe and we are so happy that we were able to stay in their loft for our anniversary weekend! The loft is a unique space and so comfortable and so close to town. We had dinner reservations in the restaurant below the loft which was a fantastic meal with the best wait staff! Walked into town, biked the trails and shopped in town! Beautiful amazing weekend! Thanks again Joan and Victor we will definitely recommend your loft, restaurant and art museum to anyone!
We stayed with our adult children. We loved looking around the building and the art. The restaurant was excellent. We hAd a great time!
Gorgeous and artistic space in the heart of Jim Thorpe. Easy communication with incredibly nice people. Will return again and again.
I found the only place i would wanna stay in Jim Thorpe. It’s an expansive loft housed in an old wire rope factory, which also houses an awesome restaurant/cafe (we were able to order food from here) and an art gallery (soo much to look at) The loft was covered in art and in itself a work of art. The bathroom is beautifully designed! Sounds silly…but, def wanna check it out when you arrive! Pup friendly and family friendly and suuuper clean. (we have 2 kids and 2 pups) Getting up to the loft requires some stairs. We don’t mind stairs…some might. Personable and friendly hosts We definitely will be returning.
This rental exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect - free parking, walking distance to downtown, and right above an incredible restaurant and art gallery! The rental itself was absolutely superb. The charm, amenities, overall size, and upgraded bathroom were all excellent as well. The renters went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect and we really enjoyed meeting them. We will definitely be returning to this property in the future.
My wife and I stayed at the Loft for a week while visiting Jim Thorpe. Great location and accommodations. Very clean and well kept. Vic and Joan have put a lot of resources into the property and it shows. We had dinner downstairs one night at Café Arielle. and it was fabulous. A small, very quaint venue and the staff was great and made us feel welcomed. If you are lucky enough you will meet Einstein the little dog. He's friendly and great to be around.
The loft is awesome- they were a little tense about parking because they had a party at the cafe- and the party was loud, but they shut it down early. The art is amazing, the loft spacious and the bathroom was super cool!
What started as a search for a place just to stay for a last-minute Birthday getaway to explore downtown Jim Thorpe became the main attraction. Joan and Victor have one of the most unique and amazing properties we've ever stayed in. The Loft was outstanding. High end finishes and amazing detail and character. Cafe Arielle was tremendous with delicious food and cocktails. Victor's Art Gallery and Museum was absolutely stunning. I'm no art buff but I absolutely couldn't take my eyes off of his amazing work. The best part (pure dumb luck on our part) is the night we arrived, Joan and Victor were hosting a Jazz performance by an amazing (and apparantly Grammy nominated) trio of musicians in their intimate performance space. Joan and Victor's passion for what they do is infectious and we're so glad we had the chance to meet them. It all led to a weekend we'll never forget, and we can't wait to go back to visit them again!
Fantastic property, great host. Highly recommend.
This is a remarkable place! The loft is spacious and comfortable with unique touches everywhere. We enjoyed two dinners at the restaurant below the loft, the food and the ambiance were both amazing. Visit the art gallery, it is an incredible experience! We look forward to visiting again.
Joan was incredible and the loft was so spectacular. Industrial but with modern touches everywhere. Awesome restaurant below with art gallery. Wish we stayed there longer! Vic
This property was extremely spacious with the beauty of natural light streaming into the kitchen and living space. It had wonderful updates in the kitchen and bath. Overall, this loft apartment was very welcoming and relaxing. The host and her family, as well as the on-site cafe, art museum, and jazz venue were all wonderful and added much enjoyment to our stay!
So happy to have found this spacious loft for our family of 4 plus 4 legged family member. Loft is located uphill from many of Jim Thorpe's shops and restaurants. Made walking down to Ma's Crepes and Cakes justifiable. It was also located closer to Mauch Chaunk Lake just a few miles further uphill. With so many outdoor activities to do in town it was nice to have such a peaceful place to return. Kitchen was a joy to use, lighting throughout loft was something I found myself appreciating during our stay. Though we usually stay at rentals with 2 bathrooms. This 1 bathroom loft, didn't present a problem for us. Pictures of bathroom didn't do it justice. Heated towel rack was an added bonus. Joan was a perfect host and we appreciated her willingness to let us explore the museum downstairs during our stay. We would love to return during cooler weather months.
We had a hassle free stay enjoying great food, live jazz and good company.
Joan was a wonderful host. She was easy to communicate with. The restaurant downstairs had delicious food. The art in the loft and in the gallery below was so cool. And we could bring our dog! This was the perfect getaway.
Great Location, Quite Area, Walking Distance to all of Jim Thorp. Restaurant on location. Great Food and Service. Dinner and Comedy Show Friday Night, Whitewater Raft Saturday with Dinner and Drinks afterwards, and Biked Sunday. Eventful Great Weekend in Jim Thorp Again. I cant wait to stay at this property again
Highly recommend. Owners very accommodating and made sure our stay on a rainy weekend was great! We will be back!
