In The Woods A wooded retreat within the city.

Everything about this stay was wonderfully perfect. The home was beautiful. The area was the perfect wooded escape while not being too far from stores/food etc. the home had everything we needed in the kitchen and bath. Truly my favorite VRBO that I have stayed in to date and we will definitely be going back!

My experience with the little house in the woods was wonderful! It was very easy to check in, the house was immaculately maintained, and we had everything we needed in terms of beds, linens, and the like. I woke up to a family of deer that had bedded down over the night and watched them while I drank my coffee for a relaxing first morning on the property. Just follow the house rules and this is a great place to stay! My friend and I used it as a 2026 planning retreat, it was a perfect fit for us. The kitchen was fully stocked with any kitchen utensil we could have asked for. There are also paper plates and cups if you wanted to forgo making dishes during your stay. Every little detail was well thought out by the hosts. 10/10 would recommend!

This property is secure and completely in a wooded area . Very beautiful propery. It was a great stay.

The rental is very well appointed and maintained. The owners have thought of everything and we were comfortable there. I reserved months in advance to stay for around a week and then extended my rental to stay 12 days. We were visiting family. At the time of extending they insisted the other person in my party who wanted to join us for the first portion of the trip (my brother) not reserve for the additional days and said I had to extend my reservation to the 12 days. No problem. We had 4-5 people in our party at all times per the rules, which I explained to them. The owners were very difficult to deal with - told me multiple times that they were “very concerned” about me staying at the property, were rude in their communications on the app, called me at 5:40 in the morning when my brother arrived in the rental the night before I did and accused me of strangers being in their home, sent me messages and left notes on the property stating that the neighbors would be watching me. Mind you, I’m an almost 50 year old mom of two teens who drives a gray minivan and owns my own almost million dollar home - I have no idea why or how I was such a problem. We had one maintenance issue - they messaged me a 7am that they would arrive at 7:30am that day. A bit abrupt when you’re on vacation. They woke up my kids when they came in. Great rental, but my interactions with the owners totally ruined it for me. No idea how they have all 5 star reviews.

Simply put, it's a peaceful escape. Clean, quiet, serene, and a much needed quiet escape. Second time we have stayed here, and we are definitely glad we did again!

My family and I stayed here for the weekend of my daughter’s wedding. The home and location worked perfectly: only 6 minutes from the church and 10 minutes from the reception venue. Plenty of space for my family of five. I am labeled as a “clean freak” by my family and friends, and even I was blown away at how immaculate the house was! Whenever I need to come up to Eau Claire for an extended stay, Paul and Anita’s property will be my go-to!

The property is in a great location. It was very clean and organized. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely stay there again.

This is an incredible location. Be aware the house is on an unpaved road. No problem for us but not sure in inclement weather. The house is in the woods and we saw deer and wild turkeys throughout the days and evening, so drive slowly. The interior of the house was comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Paul and Anita’s little woods getaway. The home has everything you could need with lots of thoughtful touches. We would stay here again.

Paul and Anita have a very cute little house. Everything you could ask for is there. I had to make a big Christmas meal and everything I needed was available to me. We got to see a lot of deer in the yard. With our son living here in Eau Claire we will probably be renting again

The property was very clean with all new appliances, and everything you might need! Perfect for the four of us.

Very nice, peaceful and secluded home right in the midst of Eau Claire. The house had everything we needed, and more! We had a beautiful, warm and sunny week so was able to sit outside every day and enjoy the weather-without all the big city noise. This property was also centrally located for all the things we chose to do.

Stayed for Oktoberfest the home and accommodation’s are Excellent!! The host’s are wonderful as well and have supplied you with everything you could possibly need throughout the home very thoughtfully set up.

Location was peaceful, we saw deer and turkey multiple days. Beds were comfy and cleaned, whole property and home was great!

A great location close to everything! Very quiet area, we even saw turkeys and deer. Great communication from Paul and the house had everything you need.

My sister and I stayed here. We LOVED the place. It had everything we needed and we loved the quiet wooded setting. Yet we were close to everything we wanted to do in the Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley area. Highly recommended!!
