Boasting four fully equipped guest houses (allwith kitchens and baths) with a total of 12 bedrooms, the property can host up to 25 guests in a variety of shared or private configurations. There are also ample spots on the land to pitch a tent for those that want to get a little more back-to-nature.

We booked Salo farm to house 8 members of my family, 7 members of my spouse's family, 3 close friends, and a private space for me and my wife. It was so cool and magical, we thought at first we wanted to have the wedding right there, but we opted to find a bigger venue and keep Salo as our quieter retreat. Jan-Peter was very communicative and had lots of suggestions to make our stay work. I am relieved to give money to someone so invested in the arts and in local culture. Already trying to figure out when we'd come again.

The “lab” was my favorite spot. I spent most of our rainy week creating art in that special room. It was a treat to wander the farm at night and see stars and fireflies. The grounds are beautiful and I hope to return soon.

If your interest is in spending time with one another, this is the place for you! The accommodations were lovely, the landlord was great, and everything was as advertised. Pro tip: bring bug spray. The mosquitoes were plentiful.

Everything was exactly as it was listed, owner was extremely kind and helpful with any issues (close to none). Highly recommended for anyone looking for a remote paradise in the woods!

Could not have been a better stay or a lovelier property. Had a big group and everyone had space and privacy when they wanted it, and gracious gathering space when they didn't. Stunning wildflowers, lovely decks, carefully kept yard/garden, and a terrific secluded location. Jan was a brilliant host and took care of every item that came up faster than fast. One support on a picnic table collapsed and he had fixed it - and replaced the other side for good measure - in LESS than half an hour. Superb. Great accomodations for a group, good cooking facilities and supplies, and the dance studio space makes it an ideal arts retreat. We can't wait to come back.
