Stayed Nov 8, 2025We loved our 4-night stay at this lovely 2-bedroom house. It’s very quiet and private, surrounded by lush tropical plants. Both bedrooms and the deck have lovely eastern ocean views. (The house is not actually on the beach— it’s across the road and uphill from the water.)

Stayed Mar 27, 2026Beautiful home at a great location with excellent communication and well stocked towels, linens, dishes, whatever you could need during your stay. There was an issue with the stove but they resolved it immediately and even went to the trouble to buy a new stove from the other side of the island and install it by the following morning. Amazing home and it added to the charm and wonder that is Hana.

Stayed Mar 5, 2026I have a lovely time with my parents here in this idyllic getaway. It was incredible. You are SO incredibly close to all the beautiful waterfalls and hikes on the Road to Hana, the national park, and the famous beaches. If you are imagining a vacation to “disconnect” from the world (wifi/cell service is pretty touch and go) then this is it. I felt like I was driving on the set of Jurassic Park while exploring everywhere. The home was fantastic with a wonderful kitchen, ocean gear to borrow, two bedrooms, a parking spot, everything ready. I loved our stay. WORTH IT!!

Stayed Feb 27, 2026Good place to stay. They have a lot of nice features including beach chairs, snorkel gear, washer and dryer and most everything you could want. Could use a little tlc. Doesn't compare to other places we stayed that I gave 5 stars, but a solid 4 atars. The home is in a tropical rain forest. Insects and geckos are to be expected. If geckos on the walls inside the house would bother you, this isn't the place to book. If that doesn't bother you, book it.

Stayed Jan 22, 2026This place is unique! So different than our other rental space (condo style). This space makes you feel like your home is in the rainforest. Geckos on the ceiling, waves crashing outside in the distance and island vibe interior. This side of the island is special. Great beaches both rugged and sandy. Quieter vibe. Food trucks in Hāna for dinner or some basics at the general store to cook. Oh- and they had great coffee available! Not just k cups!

Stayed Dec 29, 2025This is a really nice guesthouse about a mile from the beach and convenient to the Hana Highway. Pros: great kitchen setup, nice deck, appreciated the beach chairs, very clean. Cons: beds were a bit hard for our taste and the couch is super uncomfortable. Lack of A/C was fine in December (the fans provided were very helpful); not sure about other months.

Stayed Dec 24, 2025We really enjoyed our stay at Hale Manu. Quiet, relaxing, comfortable and spacious. The house is very well stocked with everything you need and our host was extremely quick to respond with our questions. We loved walking in to the sound of Christmas music & gorgeous fresh flowers everywhere. Easy access to Hana town, the state & national parks and the beautiful beaches. I would highly recommend Hale Manu & Hana as a great retreat. Loved it!

Stayed Mar 31, 2025Beautiful and well-appointed home. Great to be close to Venus pool. We were a little reluctant without a/c but didn’t regret it, good trade winds through the house. A little toasty on the afternoon but we found ourselves at the beach h and exploring so just right. Really nice place with every kitchen utensil we could want. The coffe you find yourself was a nice touch.

Take the boogie boards and chairs! Note: No AC and days are hot. The night cools off and you can sleep comfortably.

Stayed Mar 19, 2025The home is open and breezy. The ceiling is an incredible multi-tiered wood beam structure. Although a bit warm by day, at night the cool air puts you right to sleep. The bed was comfortable without being too soft. The cookware is complete and in good shape except for the baking sheets. Plenty of foil, wrap, spices and paper towels are supplied. The microwave is horribly located in a bottom cabinet. You have to get on the floor to access it. There is plenty of open counter space for it. So, that was odd. The tub has a very high wall to step over with no grab bars. The area is as peaceful as you could ask for and the house perfectly located between the National and Sate parks and relatively close to Hana. I loved seeing the geckos. The Geico mascot is dull in comparison. The double doors in the living room couldn't be securely locked because the top bolt wouldn't slide up into the hole in the frame. We weren't too worried about it. The house is set back from the road. In fact we drove past the little sign a few times looking for it. It didn't seem like somewhere vagrants would wander up the drive to the house. So, it felt safe. It's a great location and a very nice home, but quite pricey. The owners are extremely particular about their bed spreads. I guess they're an heirloom. The deck is large with a view of the ocean. There's no cell service but the WiFi is good and the owners allow the use of the land line.

Stayed Aug 6, 2024We loved this place! The fresh avocados were amazing to taste every day, and being a short walk to Tony and Caroline's fruit stand was a treat. We selected it for its proximity to Hamoa beach, and we were not disappointed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. It was the perfect place to unwind and use as home for a few days while enjoying and exploring Hana. Would come back again!

Stayed Aug 1, 2024We have decided if we build a home - it will have this floor plan. Open welcoming, and spacious - large kitchen, quality wood table to bring the family together, and fun sitting area. When we came in island music welcomed our senses and flowers freshly strewn through the rooms were visual delights. The beautiful grounds had the most amazing flowers and a huge avocado tree. Floor fans were welcome for the sitting area and bedrooms. Ceiling fans helped move the air. You could see a bit of the ocean from the bedrooms. Loved the house geckos! Just delightfully beautiful and so welcoming - like coming home. Mahalo for such a wonderful family experience!
