Stayed Jul 14, 2018This house was wonderful for our 4 families to spend a week together on the beach. We chose it because of the location and amenities. The house is beautiful, and we enjoyed the views from sun up to sun down. All of the rooms have outside decks and this was a wonderful treat. We rented a propane grill to use and were a little disappointed as it was smaller than we anticipated so we had to spend more time grilling for our large group since we had to split the meats up to fit the grill size (estimated 225 sq inches grilling space). We appreciated the bottled water dispenser as we prefer it over tap. There were more replacement water bottles on site, if you needed them. The kitchen was great. There was plenty of storage for our groceries. Having two refrigerators was ideal and although we didn’t need them, there were also two coffee machines. There was also a hot kettle for heating water for tea. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans to use for all our cooking/serving needs. We had stayed on the island previously and there was only one time the trash was picked up, but this time there were two pick ups which helped us manage trash. We loved and used the pool as it was so convenient right next door. We also chose the house because of the crib and high chair included, it was so helpful not to have to rent additional items for the baby. There were plenty of deck chairs on both the upper and lower decks. We liked the white board for messages since we had a large group and the elevator was necessary as there are several floors. We looked for the guest book, but didn’t find it to leave a note for the owners. If we go back in the future, we would love to stay here again!

Stayed Jul 21, 2018Our family stayed in the Hyacinth for a summer beach week. While the pictures show what it's like inside (with minor changes), they make everything look bigger than it is, indicating more open floor space than exists. The same is true of the driveway, where five cars could hardly fit and could not turn around. While the upper and lower living room areas were handy for entertainment purposes, noise travels everywhere in the house, so there were sometimes conflicting noise levels. No one could sleep when others were awake (not easy on the children). Pluses are that the kitchen (though small) was well-stocked (so much so that there was no storage space for foods in the cupboards); we were happy to have a collection of spices, etc. to choose from. One of the best features of the house was the double refrigerators. The lower deck was nice for sitting because it had some shade all day. The elevator was good for hauling everything up and down. The hot tub was a treat and the children especially enjoyed it a lot. The pool nearby was also a plus. It is a fair choice for a large family, though sleeping 18 felt cramped to us.
