Stayed Jul 5, 2025We had a wonderful trip! The house was perfect for our group of four adults and five preteens and teens. One afternoon while enjoying the pool we had a visit from a troop of squirrel monkeys, which was unforgettable. We highly recommend this property!

Stayed Jun 21, 2025The home was big and well appointed. The pool is on the 3rd level and was refreshing. The house has all the modern conveniences but we lost electricity several times. Easy drive into Manual Antonio or Quapos. Both have lots of restuarants and the beach is close, about 10-12 minutes by car. They have an excellent coffe shop with homemade breads in the first town. We didnt visit the tidepools as the walk was too steep for us so cannot comment on that. Overall a nice place to stay.

Stayed Mar 22, 2025Wonderful off-the-beaten-path house set amongst the palms and jungle trees. Yet very accessible to the town of Quepos and Manuel Antonio restaurants, beaches, and national park. We had a 4x4 SUV which made driving the 1/4 mile dirt road to the house fun every day.We loved listening to the birds every morning, and watching the monkeys play in the trees roght from the porch. The pool was a great way to cool off every afternoon too.

Stayed Mar 11, 2025My family had a GREAT stay at Matt's home! The property was just as described. Matt & his wife live next door & are very available for any issues. My son surfs & instead of renting surfboards, he was so gracious to loan him several of his own to use! They are very friendly & accessible. You MUST have a 4x4 to stay at this home safely. We had a 12 passenger van that was supposed to be 4x4 & didn't realize until we had a hard time on the roads that they didn't give us the right van. Matt even offered to go up the hill ahead of us when it was raining to make sure we got up & didn't need him to pull us. The home is spacious, great view of monkeys several mornings, amazing birds. The teens were able to hike down the hill to a beach that is only accessible by the trail & watch the sunset. However, it isn't something everyone can hike. Such a great location with easy accessibility to Quepos & Manuel Antonio.

Stayed Feb 6, 2025Adriana and Matt were incredible hosts and we could not have asked for more from them and their beautiful home. The home was in great condition, with all the amenities, a fantastic porch and an inviting pool which we used daily. Each morning we got to enjoy the wildlife (birds and monkeys) with our morning coffee. Matt gave us many restaurant recommendations, all of which were 5 star in our book. He even went so far to put us in touch with a local to help us spot sloths, which we did. They made us feel welcome and safe and we cannot recommend them enough!

Stayed Jan 26, 2025We were 3 couples for 10 days. The house was clean and lots of space for all of us. The pool area was beautiful. Matt and Adriana were helpful and responsive from booking to check out. Definitely need a 4x4 for the road in. We didn’t have a vehicle but Cesar got us where we wanted to go.

Stayed Dec 29, 2024The house is really special. Super spacious with everything you could want for a holiday. The pool was a massive hit with the kids, and having bedrooms on different floors was really useful for our 2 families to feel like we had our own spaces. The beds were so comfy and there were towels for the house and the pool. A perfect stay

Stayed Jul 27, 2024There were 7 of us (43x2, 70, 14, 12, 12, and 9) and there was plenty of room to spread out. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-appointed, and the house was clean. We loved the pool and seeing the animals daily. We saw toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, and two kids of monkeys. An entire troop of squirrel monkeys (between 50 and 100) came up while we were at the pool and it was definitely a highlight. The house is centrally located and a short drive to everything. You definitely need 4x4 to stay here but dont let that stop you- this house is amazing. The owners are also local and very helpful. You dont regret booking this hoise. We will definitely be back.

Stayed Jun 16, 2024We stayed in this home with another family for a week! It was our very first time in Costa Rica. From a few days before our arrival to an urgent need after we left, Matt was extremely kind and helpful. We loved every moment of this trip from the recommendations on beaches and restaurants to the tranquility of the house. Monkeys even gave us a surprise visit during our morning coffee on the front patio. I would absolutely recommend this home for your trip to Costa Rica. We miss it already!

Stayed Jun 9, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed staying here for a week with our teenage kids and almost 2 year-old. They had a pack n play, infant life jackets, and lots of toys! The house is off the beaten path (we were very glad to have 4-wheel drive), and you can see tons of wildlife right from the house (monkeys, birds, etc). You have to drive into town - I suppose you can walk on the road but there isn’t a shoulder. The owners live very close by and were absolutely lovely. Our rental car battery was totally dead the first day but Matt came over and charged it to try to solve the problem. It wouldn’t hold the charge — Vamos rental car made it right, but it took a day for them to get to us. Matt was enthusiastic, laid back, and very kind. The kitchen is great, the grill has propane ready to go, and the pool is a dream! We loved it.

Stayed May 21, 2024We had a really nice stay at this property. Spacious enough for my husband and me and our 4 adult children and a significant other (who became a finacee at the nearby beach!). The pool was fantastic and no one else was around except the occassional person walking to the beach. The beach was beautiful and secluded - we had it all to ourselves, but don't think it's an easy walk. It's a hike - you have ropes that help you on the last bit. No one with mobility issues should attempt it. You definitely need a 4-wheel drive if you stay here and confirm with your car rental that it's really 4-wheel drive. The dirt road to get to the property is hilly. Be sure to have Katya Hildago to cook for you at least one night (recommended by the property host). We had a fantastic meal. She also grocery shopped for us - so we had plenty of fruit, snacks and drinks waiting for us when we arrived. Katya also helped us out in an emergency situation,- long story. She's just a really nice, genuine person. VRBO does not permit me to post her contact information - but the host has it.
