House with large garden and direct GR access

Fabulous location for a relaxing break.

My family and I spent 3 superb weeks in this former fisherman’s house on the lovely Ile Grande. We really enjoyed the house and the huge garden with a wooden veranda where we had diner and barbecues. The house is located at the entrance of this tiny island with a lovely beach, a bar with a creperie and a small grocery in walking distance. The house is well equipped with WLAN, modern TV and DVD, washing machine and a good kitchen. Only the dish-washer is too small for 5 people and also a good oven is missing enabling people to cook a self-prepared pizza or lasagne. There is an electric kind of oven but unfortunately it was too small for cooking for 5 persons. We also made a lot of excursions to wonderful beaches (Trégastel, Saint Guirec, Plougrescant etc.) and to lovely tiny villages (Lannion, Tréguier, Paimpiol, Guingamp and Morlaix). The Cote de Granit Rose is really beautiful. There is also a nice Whisky distillery nearby (Warenghem in Lannion) offering a free guiding tour with a tasting afterwards. For experts there is also the Whisky distillery Glann Ar Mor near Pleubian. Worth a visit is also the Parc Du Radome with the Planétarium de Bretagne, the cité des Telecoms and the village Gaulois. You can also book a boat trip to the Sept-Iles or the Ile de Bréhat. If you are interested into football, go and visit Guingamp with its lovely football club En Avant Guingamp playing in the Ligue 1. Our landlady and landlord were really nice and helpful and we even received a nice welcome present. Merci plus pour tout. Nous avons eu des belles grandes vacances chez vous.

Charming island home in a perfect location close to the beach and with direct access to the path that circles the island, five minute walk to the local creperie and bakery. Great garden and deck area for eating al fresco. Perfect for a relaxing family holiday.
